you know what. i’ve been frustrated because i love static websites and i love neocities but there is one thing that would usually require a server-side backend that i really want - a comment section! everyone (including me) uses external, free cbox or guestbook sites to get around this. but that’s super annoying because unless you pay money for them, they often have ads or very limited features or both, and even if you do pay money, they often aren’t fully customizable! and i thought there was no way around this unless i wanted to move to a non-static web host. but i was thinking on it again and i think i’ve figured out a workaround that is entirely free and 100% customizable from scratch, and now my brain is on fire and i have to make it. both for myself and other people on neocities! i want more people to be able to have their own custom comment sections!! with an easy to follow tutorial to set it up for beginners!! this is going to keep me up all night hahaha i hope it works out
