The quake mapper and 3d modeler Samuel2213 recently suffered a Parietal Haematoma. It happened a few days ago and he's stable, but he has a long road to recovery, and is lucky to be alive. He's a lead 3d modeler for Ultrakill and Wrath Aeon of Ruin, he did the models for gabriel, v1, and many of the other enemies. if you love those games please help out. honestly I'm really surprised to find out people are actually reblogging my addition to the post, i mostly do source-finding work for fun, i just want to leave my intentions clear.

i do think this video is very funny, and generally enjoy "edgy wolf meme" sort of jokes, but my goal sharing the origin of these images is not out of mockery or irony, but in an attempt to bring some genuine appreciation for these pieces, and proper credit to the artists who made them. they may seem funny now, but these are pieces of art. these were made by artists harvesting a lot of time, skill and passion to make the art they wanted to make. i wouldn't be able to draw one of these even if i tried.

Pink Moon is a genuinely touching artwork about identity. Southern Wolf was an inner joke among friends. the artist behind Howl of the Beast deleted their post and their entire profile, and i worry it might've been because they didn't enjoy seeing their art mocked for memes.

as a furry myself, i feel it is always really really hard to have ourselves taken seriously, our art appreciated or allowed to even be considered art. artwork gets stolen, cropped, and reposted again and again until people eventually seem to forget someone made it one day. it's fine to have fun, all these pieces are very old now, the damage is long gone, but please remember that art, even if you think it's funny or silly, still is meaningful to somebody. let yourself care sometimes.
