Hi! I’m Mouse, and I like to draw my characters Bub and Rex! | read my comics on badbeatcomic.com

For the ask thing, 20!

mmm I answered in a previous ask but ykw? I'm also really proud of these pieces.

I really am so happy with the amount of movement and attitude I achieved here. I currently have these as my desktop images for my monitors, which is pretty rare for me to have my own art as a bg haha.

13. how long do you usually take on a piece

mmm anywhere between 1.5-3 hours I'd say. 3 hours would be a really involved rendering process, featuring both rex and bub, or like a complex scene or smth. But since I usually just draw my guys standing around being sluts, I can usually bang that out in about an hour :P

adore Ur art, wish I could ask them all but - 4,5 & 20? :)

aw thank you so much!!

I answered 4 in a previous ask so imma skip that one

5. least favorite thing to draw

anything that isn't my ocs LOL. that list includes but is not limited to: machines, animals, portraits of real people (like commissions for family friends, etc.) highly detailed clothing / armor... the list goes on haha

20. a piece from this year that you're really proud of

probably this piece. I'm so happy with how this came out. took a lot more effort than my average piece too and I always think that ups the sentimentality of it haha

thank you for the asks!

2, 4, and 8!

2. what's your favorite thing about your style

hmmm, I think my favorite thing about my style is my commitment to the toony look and feel. the cel shading, the colored lines, the expressive, animator-centric body language. That's the stuff I love to see in art, so when I evoke that in my art is brings me a lot of satisfaction!!

4. favorite thing to draw

ough, I really love drawing expressions, if that isn't evident enough haha. 8. what's the most fun and the least fun parts about your process

I think the most fun part about my process is the coloring and shading. that's usually when I get most excited about a piece and when it starts to come to life. I think that's why so few of my pieces are uncolored lol. I'm one of those "fully color and shade a piece and still calls it a sketch" people cuz it's just like... that's the fun part!

my least favorite part is probably lining. I've really tried to develop my speed and confidence in my lines cuz I didn't like agonizing over perfect clean lines. it's usually the part of the process that I try to speed through the most

thanks for the prompts Nauma!

I've seen this done a lot for fanfics and writers, but I haven't seen many for artists, so I decided to make one! feel free to rb and do it with your followers as well c:
