I’m so sick of people constantly trying to diminish and bring trans rights into question by trying to hide under the guise of “protecting children” because the result of that rhetoric has been the murder of a trans teenager. People who oppose trans rights do not give two shits about protecting children and people need to stop acting as though they have “a point” in this conversation because their ideologies lead to actions like this being carried out. The UK media (in particular the Daily Mail and The Times) are deadnaming her or refusing to acknowledge her status as a trans girl.
The police are very keen to gloss over any suggestion that she was murdered due to being trans, despite people from her school (parents and pupils) raising serious safeguarding concerns.
Brianna shouldn’t have died, and if it is found that she was killed by anti-trans extremists, I hope every single terf, gender critical, transphobic, nasty piece of work (and we all know who the main cheerleaders of them are) feel sick to the pit of their stomachs.
