I bought my niece this Star Wars kids book: A Queen’s Diary written in Padmé’s pov during the events of TPM, it’s sort of like Star Wars Episode 1 - Queen’s Journal and I screenshot some of the cute pages that mentioned Anakin.

I love how Padmé says she thinks her and Anakin will be friends, and celebrates Anakin’s victory in the Podrace, winning his freedom, then also his win for her planet and hopes maybe someday they’ll meet again 🥹♥️

Beaded Dress Coruscant
When Anakin shared that he felt uneasy about the Jedi Council, Padmé wore a beaded, dark-colored dress with her hair down and curled.

loveee the repeated canonization of padme’s wardrobe being one of luthen’s many artifacts btw. like andor very much established that luthen’s shop is a lil mini colonial export factory that makes ornaments out of cultural objects with no care for their past. for padme to be commodified like that is soooooo juicy

Leo Campo

My 6th post showing love to Hayden's Characters. Today it's Leo Campo from Little Italy. One of my fav movies of Hayden's.
Lucas: "I needed something that - sort of remind people of the real issue here is trying to save Padmé, and that that's what his conflict is, and that's why he's emotionally going back and forth, and it's very easy to have the audience believe that Anakin is miffed because he doesn't get to go on the mission, that he's angry because he's not a Master, and this scene is really designed to remind you that his real problem is that he just doesn't want to lose her and he knows that if the Emperor is killed, then any chance he has of saving her is going to be gone, that the Emperor is his only hope to saving her, which obviously drives him back to the Emperor's office." [Anakin's fatal decision] - George Lucas in Revenge of The Sith DVD commentary

For the people who think the reason behind Anakin’s emotional turmoil is because he’s a “whiny child who didn’t get his rank of Master.” That’s not why. The whole time the reason behind his distress and frustration throughout the movie is how he’s going to save the one love of his life, and George wanted people to know that.

“And Anakin smiles. Not a smile like the Emperor’s. Or a crazed grin like Darth Maul’s. Not even a smirk that Anakin might have shown Ahsoka back in his Jedi days. But a real smile. The smile that only Padme ever saw”

- Star Wars: Return of the Jedi; Beware the Power of the Dark Side by Tom Angleberger.
