Never made an animatic before but I had a sudden urge to do so. Audio is from Transformers: Robots in Disguise.
I almost scrapped the whole thing and planned on doing the last couple of seconds with just Lucky, but I liked how Steeljaw’s voice fit Malak. Also, this is my first and probably last time drawing Malak.

So The Bad Guys just gave out assets for a fan art contest and the FILES ARE SO HUGE AND DETAILED. Like over 10000 pixel tif files.

Is mama bear abusive to her Cubs since she’s the souls of the twisted love of abusive mothers
Ok this is something I had to think about a lot, but I came up with my own take on it.
Warning: mention of child abuse though my answer for this is sort of a no.
Lemme explain what I myself think of this.
You're right, shes made up of those souls, BUT for how she treats her cubs, I'll say she treats them well. She's got those maternal instincts, that drive to care.
They have nice beds, toys, music. I'll admit I don't want to draw her abusing them, and the fact that this monster mom could treat her cubs better than some bad moms is just a trope I really like. This big scary monster, showing love to little baby monsters? It's too good to not think about!
But, there's still abuse involved, it's just not physically inflicted upon the cubs like you'd think. I tried to make an image to sort of explain my idea:
The energy of the abuse portion of the souls of abusive mothers is sort of implanted into the teddies before they're born. The abuse, in this different form, is the power behind their explosions.
I think this concept is neat and symbolic. My headcanon of the teddies is that they're usually restless and anxious, sometimes paranoid. A little bit of hardship, and they're done for. Thanks to that abuse, their lives are literally ruined. They can't speak nor think coherently usually, and sputter grunts and growls because they're too internally worked up to properly think.
Mama bear though, she loves them. She takes the best care of them, makes sure they're happy, let's them play, hell she also takes care of Agatha while Malak is super busy. So no, she herself (physically) isn't abusive, not to her babies or other monsters. Usually. She may snap if someone does something SUPER heinous.
A mortal though, well...that's a different story.
