I would not be donut if I didn't waste copious amounts of hours researching jazz for no reason

ok basically I've narrowed down my main inspirations to be:

I was considering going into Acid Jazz because of Persona 5, but I feel like the incorporation of the house genre (at least that's what I think it is) makes it a little bit too prominent to put into a dating sim, haha.

My "natural" style of music composition is a little chaotic (mostly because I don't know what I'm doing), but it seems to be most similar to stuff of Indie RPGs... because yeah, that's what I listened to for most of my life haha 🤔🤔 I think if I could combine that with elements of jazz fusion I could probably create some really good music. Also, my guiding principle comes from a composer that worked on Pokemon B/W ... which was basically to "Create a melody that can easily be hummed or played on a piano". I can't find where this quote came from for the life of me but I just know it is something that inspires me deeply haha.

Here’s mine! Forest-y setting to go with my usual theme, a night sky to match my current theme, a writing desk for my stories and piles of books for all the old books I love reading. I also put my cat in there, cause he loves bothering me while I write and a glass bowl would do nothing to stop him.
