JVP San Diego member Ed Sweed delivered the petition and spent a half hour with Jason Bergovitch, Staff Assistant. to Rep. Scott Peters. Jason said Peters is leaning toward attending, but his mind is not yet made up. Ed said Jason was a good listener. They discussed the difference between J Street and JVP, discrimination in La Jolla and Israel, equal rights, etc. He also said there is planning for legislation to help Gaza.
