So what happens to Black/African Gods who can’t possibly live on enough to get by?
They get by…barely. But should there be an acceptance in just getting by? In being treated unfairly? The African Gods face the same prejudice that the black humans in America face. For Anansi to thrive, he needs his people to thrive. His people are being targeted through human trafficking, environmental racism, police brutality and soooo much more. Because the African Gods are already only getting just enough to get by with, they don’t want to ruffle feathers with the other older gods and definitely not with the younger gods. So how do they not only survive, but thrive, in a country that was never built for them or their worshipers?
