Sometimes I wish that seeing things like this didn't spark a memories of you. It's silly how my mind plays tricks on me.
How hard is to say "we are done"?
I guess for some people is too hard to say "we are done," but for people like me it is the only way to know things are final and there is no hope. Giving a different answer may leave those people with a feeling of not being "too bad," but for me, it is a long agony until I figure out that we were done. Please people, have mercy! If you don't want anything else with someone, say it clear and loud. Being honest and direct won't make things less messy, but at least the other person will have some closure.

I am almost certain that if we set a goal into our minds, we can achieve it. We need to be perseverant, creative, and use the resources at hand. I’m thankful for all the people who have inspired me to keep growing, to change my own expectations, to develop new perspectives, and to fully accept who I am.
Food is very important in my life, it is part of my work and also one of my hobbies. I like cooking, it helps me relax, engage with others, and remember loved ones. Sometimes I follow recipes when I cook, but other times I just follow my instinct, it is so liberating. I’m thankful for every meal I have eaten, cooked, and shared.

Some years ago, I learned about "el día de las velitas" or the day of the little candles, a tradition from Colombia. On the eve of the Immaculate Virgin Mary's day (December 8th), people gather with their loved ones and light little candles as part of the celebration. This represents the kick-off of the holiday season. Tonight while I lit the candles, I thought about my friends from all over the world who opened their houses to me, shared their traditions and their love with me.
