My newest book, The Anthropocene Reviewed, is a memoir masquerading as a book of essays, and today it comes out in paperback. It was the strangest and most joyful writing experience I’ve ever had--my first time trying to write as myself, and trying to understand the way I look at the world rather than imagining how someone else might look at it.
