Fire Flies
Hang in the sky and peer outside, a single pinpoint alight, lose your way as the fire burns bright, blaze brightly but always stay out of sight
I thought I’d run out of things to share from last year, but in hindsight maybe its just that I’m extremely harsh on what I’ve been allowing myself to post on here… I guess I’ve had this subconcious feeling that if I can’t immediately talk about whats great about a picture, that it must seem just as bland to others.
That being said, sometimes I find things I like only if I’m looking at it for a long while, like a tea that tastes best after the fourth sip. In any case, I feel like this one was very cute, the more realistic proportions make this feel like it could maybe be a stylized normal person rather than a surreal robot, and I really liked how the wings turned out on this - the technical execution had no bearing on how I felt on it because the silhouette just felt so striking.
In going back to when I first made this, I realised this as one of the first times I’d written a poem to match the theme and vibe to match the character … for this post I’ve rewritten it to match my current style more… and in doing so realised that my poem writing is better too now … or maybe just more redined in the way I frame the lore, story and background of each piece .
A couple weeks in the works and well worth it! my best Acrylic painting to date. Thank you for putting up with the updates. What do you think of the "VeLISAraptor"?
909 square inches in 8075 minutes. I’m thinking about calling it “8075 minutes from my life without you.”
Michael Myers and Dr. Loomis
Got to do some freelance work for a local bar’s kitchen! Getting to design a squid monster is always something I’m down for.
Can’t wait to try it out myself.
What, you don't walk around with USBs full of viruses too??
