You are the Buddha. You are the truth. Then why do you not feel it? Why don’t you know it through and through? Because there is a veil in the way, which is attachment to appearances, such as the belief that you are not Buddha, that you are a separate individual, an ego. If you cannot remove this veil all at once, then it must be dissolved gradually. If you have seen through it totally, even one glimpse, then you can see through it at any time. Wherever you are, whatever presents itself, however things seem to be; simply refer to that ever-present, spacious openness and clarity.

My brother has Parkinson's. Do you have any suggestions for ways I can help him? I enjoy enjoy your blog. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
Greetings,
god bless you for asking that beautiful question,
god bless your very soul.
how can you help your brother?
love him, care about him,
be thoughtful and present for him as you clearly already are.
listen to him, laugh with him, see the light of god in him, and in your other family members.
see the light of god in your self!
don’t focus on what’s broken, focus on the miraculous energy contained in each breath, in each body.
live your life fully.
dont get lost in fear. we are all going to die some day. live, live, live while you’re here. trust in god-spirit-energy.
a human life, even a 100 year one,is very short compared to eternity.
take excellent care of your body, be an inspiration to your brother.
you and your brother, should enjoy mostly organic veggies and fruit, with some wild caught fish and fowl. organic meats if thats what you want. and get enough sleep, fresh air, meditate frequently every day, take pauses of 3 breaths when ever you can, be loving towards your loved ones, forgive yourself and everyone.
you and your brothers could benefit greatly by benefiting others greatly.
serve other souls in your way- work in a soup kitchen, or do beautiful landscape architecture, or be an excellent and honest autio mechanic, or nurse. or folk singer. be honest, and excellent, reliable and giving everywhere you can.
everyone everywhere deserves all your love and blessings all the time. blessings may appear differently; for some, getting PD was a blessing. for others, being taken out of a job and off the streets, even being put behind bars, was a blessing.
dont get too high about what you think is great news, it might contain endless suffering. and dont get too low about seemingly bad news, it may contain unimaginable glory to god..
be at peace,
know and trust that this is god’s realm, the creator is always close at hand. heaven is near at hand. know this and live this, your brother will resonate with this

“Inner peace is the key: if you have inner peace, the external problems do not affect your deep sense of peace and tranquility. Without this inner peace, no matter how comfortable your life is materially, you may still be worried, disturbed, or unhappy because of circumstances.” — Dalai Lama
i repeatedly teach: the inner is greater than the outer. This is why people can have everything–Beautiful car beautiful spouse beautiful kids beautiful house–and be miserable. And why some can have nothing, yet be radiant, shimmering, joyful.
this post has fucked me up more than any other on this site
Okay but no, do you understand what happens to a caterpillar once it’s in its cocoon? It completely turns into goo. That’s right, GOO. The damn thing dissolves and the reforms into the butterfly. Even crazier, the wings of the butterfly are already inside the caterpillar, ready to go, just waiting to float around in some goo and then be a beautiful butterfly. The craziest part?!? A study was done where some caterpillars were exposed to a certain smell and then given an electric shock so eventually the caterpillar associated the smell with the shock. Well after those little hairy noodles came out of the their cocoons as butterflies, they exposed them to the smell again and the butterflies reacted super negatively, as if they were being shocked. A.K.A. not only is there wings floating around in that goo cocoon, there is also a brain, the same, unaltered brain as the caterpillar. The butterfly can recall its days as a caterpillar even after basically being turned into soup. And then it all somehow gets its shit together to be a stupid majestic little beast, and I can’t even remember where I put my damn phone.
THIS IS FUCKING CRAZY
Wow this is fucken crazy!!
just as the caterpillar fears its world is coming to an end, it becomes a butterfly: fear nothing, not even death: trust in god in every particle every moment of the universe.
