i am in love with the style of gwen’s universe and the use of backgrounds. everything has a watercolor effect, but especially when gwen is feeling really intense emotion. when her dad finds out she’s spider-gwen, the background colors start to bleed together and run like teardrops! because she’s overwhelmed and close to crying and she doesn’t know what to do!

and when she and her dad are arguing in their apartment, all the colors are dark and the background is running again. she’s about to lose everything and her emotions are spilling over and the setting is crying with her and then… everything goes solid and real again because her dad finally understands.

Miguel’s wrong by the way. About Miles being the ultimate anomaly. Yes, the spider that bit him came from another dimension, and yes that universe is without a Spider-Man, but it was already in Alchemax’s hands, and whoever Miguel thinks was “supposed” to be Spider-Man was never gonna be Spider-Man, even if Miles was never bitten. And the fact that he was, that against all odds this spider found a way to him from an entity that captured dozens of spiders just like it, that it came all the way from another universe, arguably signifies that Miles being Spider-Man may not be the freak accident Miguel makes it out to be

In the theater listening to Miguel rant and rave at Miles and using 1610 Peter’s name against him, I thought to myself, “If RIPeter was there, he’d be defending Miles. ‘You’re dead wrong about him. If you try to touch him again, you’ll have to go through me.’”

The thing that is just unmanageably funny to me is that I genuinely believe the production team had a conversation and concluded it would be culturally insensitive for brennan not to wear eyeliner for this season. This is him being respectful.
