Fic Prompt Request Guidelines

I accept fic writing prompts for the BBC Sherlock fandom (I currently don’t write for any other fandoms, and that isn’t likely to change anytime soon).
I reserve the right not to fill any prompt I do not feel capable/comfortable filling, and timelines on fic fills vary depending on inspiration/how willing my muse is to cooperate.

What I am willing to write:
Pairings: Johnlock (what I generally write), Sherstrade, Johnstrade, Johnlockstrade, possibly Sheriarty (depending on prompt), Jolto, Joltolock.
Ratings: Any (Gen, Teen, Mature, Explicit).
Genres/Tropes: Too many to list, please refer to my ‘will not write’ below for a list of exemptions.
What I often write: Mental health/illness tropes from an anti-stigma perspective, AUs, fluff, fix-it fics, smut, canon-divergent, angst (heavy, light, with or without happy ending), hurt/comfort, pining (mutual or one-sided), slow-burn, Major Character Death, action-based fics (fast-paced), first time, Dark Sherlock/Dark John. There are more, but I won’t list them all.
What I will not write:
Pairings: Adlock, Sherlolly, any pairing including Mary Morstan (past John/Mary or canon John/Mary with Johnlock as the goal is an exception), Holmescest, Reader x Character, and possibly others I can’t think of right now.
Genres/Tropes: Intense non-con (no rape for the sake of it, i.e.: not for the sole sexual gratification of the reader. So, if non-con elements are part of a story, such as A/B/O or something, I might be willing to write aspects of dubcon, but this depends on the prompt, plot, and situation), incest-fics, some kinks (no kink-shaming here, just there are some kinks I am not interested in/comfortable with writing, such as things involving bodily fluids other than semen and possibly mild blood play - again, I reserve the right to refuse prompts that I am not comfortable writing), Underage relationships, especially between children/youth and adults. There may be others that I can’t think of right now but those are the biggest NO-NOs for me.
I will not write smut scenes or smut fics for anyone under the age of 18. If you send anonymous prompts (which is allowed), and I cannot verify your age, the fic fill will not be sexually explicit. This may extend to intense violence. I also will not re-write other fics/prompt fills I’ve written with the characters swapped. I write my prompts for those who request them, I do not write them to others’ whims. If I write something and you ask me to write something the exact same, but with John ‘more dominant’ (for example), that’s a no. I am willing to negotiate unique prompts if such a request is made.

Prompt Fills:
Most prompt fills are on the shorter side, but if you want something longer, I can likely do so. Depends on the prompt and my inspiration.
I am a very active writer and often have several projects on the go, as well as signing up for fandom writing events. If you need your prompt to be filled within a certain timeframe, I cannot guarantee that will happen. If I cannot fill or take too long to fill a prompt, you can give the prompt to another writer. Just please let me know in case I do fill it. I generally fill most prompts, but things do happen.
Anonymous Prompts:
If you send an anonymous prompt, I will reply to your ask only once I have written the fill, and can post the fill with the ask (since I cannot tag an anon). If I cannot or am unwilling to fill the prompt, I will reply immediately. If you do not hear back from me right away, then I am likely filling your prompt.
If possible, please let me know if you are 18+ in the prompt (I don’t need a specific age, just if you’re 18+ or under), and any squicks/things you absolutely do not want the prompt to include (such as intense violence or whatever) as I won’t be able to message you directly to ask for specifics. But if you can let me know that you’re over 13 (if you are under 18+) that will help with rating on the fic. Thanks!
Also, do not feel obligated to send prompts on anonymous (but please do if that makes you more comfortable!). My blog is a safe place for LGBTQ+ of any denomination. I am a very welcoming, friendly person. I am open to being messaged anytime, and love connecting with other members of the fandom. I won’t bite! I am also willing to exclude your name from a prompt/keep your ask private if you send off anon, just please let me know so I do not answer it publicly or attach your name to the fill. I am also willing to keep prompts unlisted if you want your name attached, but do not want the specific prompt itself shared.
