There’s a big problem in the autistic community we need to address

I am a semi speaking autistic with high support needs, when strangers see me, they know I’m autistic.

I’ve often seen fully speaking autistics refer to me and other autistics like me as “just stereotypes”

But I’m not just a stereotype, and neither are other autistics like me.

We deserve to be seen too, we deserve to be seen as people with our own personalities.

Real people cannot be stereotypes. That’s like, the opposite of what a stereotype is. Calling actual people stereotypes is dehumanizing, and I’m pretty sure we all agree that’s bad.

I agree with this, as I too was medically diagnosed with Autism at the age of 10. Even though it's hard to tell unless I speak, that doesn't mean it applies to others. I may be shy around others, but damnit, anyone who dares to emotionally, mentally or even physically hurt any Autistic people, regardless of if I know them, I will hunt you down. People with Autism, stay safe now. I'm willing to chat if you need some help. 💙
