I notice bicycles, messenger bags, gadgets, thoughtful quotes, photography, music, nifty men's fashion, and things my friends like. Oh yeah, and food. The recipes are at http://somedudewholikestoeat.tumblr.com/ I drank 17 Dr Peppers.

I’m gonna go fucking apeshit over this.

I remember as a schoolboy being told by artist Roger Dean that Chris Ross’s SF book covers, featuring enormous space ships, were actually pictures of Vaccuum Cleaners, Irons, and things you’d find around the house. (Also being told by Roger that Chris Foss could indeed draw people and had illustrated The Joy of Sex.) Which meant I could never again see a Chris Foss spaceship without imagining it in a kitchen.

Hello

I am just ecstatic to see Roger Dean mentioned in the wild. He is one of the most influential artists in terms of my childhood and inspiring me to create art, and why my abstract art looks the way it does ever since my dad gave me an artbook of his.

Yet almost no one seems to know who he is…and omg not only is someone actually mentioning Roger Dean, that someone is @neil-gaiman 0.0

(And Infeel obligated to show of some of Roger Dean’s amazing art)

It hadn’t even occurred to me that anyone wouldn’t know who Roger Dean is.

There’s no record quite like Green Balloon, and no band quite like Tank and the Bangas. Green Balloon is 17 songs, featuring 75 minutes of roughly 30 creative souls, recorded in nearly 10 studios. They make music without boundary on instruments ranging from sax, flute, cello, vocal scratches, keyboards, synths, real drums, fake drums, a djembe and, of course, the poetry, philosophy, comedy and voice that is Tarriona “Tank” Ball.

In 2017, Tank and the Bangas won our hearts with its entry to NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest. Now the band members have made their first major label album with producers Robert Glasper, Zaytoven, Mark Batson, Jack Splash, Louie Lastic, fulfilling both their vision and creating something beyond their imagination.

I think most of us have seen, used, obsessed over, purchased, or hoarded Franklin-Christoph pens so I have done an unboxing video of the new Model 46 Autumn Oak finish to help you in your seeing/using/obsessing/purchasing/hoarding journey! It’s equipped with the #6 music nib, making it an absolute treat to use. Plus I inked it with FC Dark Chocolate ink, which makes it drool worthy (and it makes me hungry). Please check it out on my blog or YouTube and let me know what you think!⁣ ⁣ I’d be forever grateful if you would like and subscribe on YouTube! ⁣ XOXO⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ http://www.gourmetpens.com/2019/04/unboxing-franklin-christoph-model-46.html ⁣ Thank you to Franklin-Christoph for sending this adorable little pen over for me to check out and share with you! @franklinchristoph #fpgeeks #fountainpen #fountainpens #gourmetpens #stationery #ig #instagram #ink #inks #inked #inkedup #review #reviews #fountainpenink #firstimpressions #unboxing #video #youtube #oneofeverythingitis (at Mississauga, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwNAaFKHz81/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1gq3ih32njqqx

Finding someone who thinks you’re interesting enough to talk to you every day, whether they’re a friend or a lover, is one of the best feelings ever.

If your small business “cannot survive if it has to pay employees $15 minimum wage” then your small business has been running on exploitation and your small business has gotta go. Bye bye.

your large businesses have also gotta go

Absolutely. If any business is justifying exploitation they gotta go. We just raised the point of small business because that’s usually the counter-argument to $15 minimum wage.

Frankly if we are keeping up with the growth of CEO salaries and just basic economic growth over time, the minimum wage really should be a lot higher than $15.

Insulin costs like $5 to make. This is murder.

“Insulin has become so expensive…” Insulin doesn’t “become” expensive. Three pharma companies set the price: Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, and Sanofi. Their CEOs are: David A. Ricks ($16m/year), Lars F. Jørgensen ($3.5m/year), Olivier Brandicourt ($11.8m/year).
