You know birds and animals tends to be at its best when they are showing off to the rival males or while impressing the females. And today I realised how much more stunning is India’s most beautiful bird. These pictures are of my favourite male fighting off a younger one. Up close and personal..these moments are something that will stay in my heart for a long time to come..:)

Happy birthday to the greatest and most legendary comic book visionary the world has ever seen, Jack “The King” Kirby. He would have been 100 years old today.
It’s so difficult to comprehend how much he changed the world of comic books. He created so many of the world’s most iconic characters. Captain America, The Fantastic Four, Black Panther. In my opinion, without him, there would be no comic books, he inspired so many.
I only became a fan of his in recent years, although I had been reading comics forever, but I never really appreciated comic book art that much. I cared more about the story than the art, but I don’t know how that changed and then I began to really LOOK at comics. I’m no expert at it because I’m not an artist, but I love comic book art, and Kirby was the best. He was, and still is, the King for very good reason.
So on this day, pick up a Kirby comic. Whatever it is. Marvel, DC, whatever you want. Just pick it up, look at it, experience it. I know there are multiple omnibi coming very soon collecting some of his work. Kamandi and another reprint of the New Gods, I know for sure. But just go to a comic shop, or buy one off @comixology (Hopefully they’ll run a sale. Wink wink nudge nudge), or go to a bookstore and pick up some Jack Kirby collections. There’s plenty out there.
Hell, I would even recommend the incredible “Kirby: King of Comics” by Mark Evanier. It’s one of my favorite comic book history books and boy, it made me cry and laugh within minutes of each other. It has one of my favorite Kirby jokes in it and I can’t believe that man was so witty.
Anyway, however you do it, just take a second today to read a Kirby comic. Whatever it is, your choice. They’re all good. Or go punch a n*zi in the face, just like Jack would have wanted. He’d be happy either way.
