In the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell said, ‘It’s nice to see you’re happy, because a lot of people are quite miserable when they play this kind of music.’ Of course, on stage I had to smile but I was thinking, ‘No, they’re not miserable. There’s concentration and there’s being miserable, and they are two different things.’ It’s a shame that classical music has the image of being middle class and very serious. There are a variety of reasons for it, one being that music is expensive, so you only get a certain type of people doing it. ‘Adagio for Strings’ for Orlando Victims Last Night

The New York Philharmonic dedicated the June 15, 2016 concert, which opened the Concerts in the Parks, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, to the victims of the recent tragedy in Orlando and their families. In addition to addresses from the stage, the free concert opened with a performance of Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, in tribute to the victims.

Buy cute, cheap lace leggings. Cut them a little above your knee. Hem them or don’t, but then you can wear them under your sundresses and not worry about how you sit or if your thighs chafe, and if anyone sees them they look cute af so hell yes
