Kashitaro “Get Well Soon” Project!
Hello! If you haven’t heard, Kashitaro will be having surgery on the nodules on his vocal cords. He won’t be able to speak for 3 months after surgery, and will have to go through rehabilitation for an additional 3 months after, which will total, at the very least, 6 months of break.
He said he waited until now to talk about it because he didn’t want to worry us.
It’s so Kashitaro-like of him, to put us first. He’s so selfless. But besides that, he’s so strong and resilient. He’s going through a rough time, but he’s determined to get back to what he loves to do most in the world. I know we’ll wait for him. I want to be able to show him that we care for him as much as he cares for us.
Me and another person on Twitter are organizing a get well soon project. It’ll be a collection of art, messages, and more, to send to him to show him our love.
Right now, we’re getting a general idea of how many people are interested in participating! If you can reblog this post, it would be greatly appreciated! You can also vote on the Twitter poll if you have an account, it’s pinned to my account at @/_ryoseirui_! (Remove the /!)
In about a week or so, we will open up applications (it will be in both English and Japanese, since I have quite a few Japanese followers on Twitter)! We’ll also have a general timeline of the deadline and such by that time.

I do know who she is and also, that doesn’t contradict what I said.
It’s true I am not aware of the people active on the fandom here, but I AM aware of the twitter fandom. there might be a change of attitude between the two but even still, no one directly harassed any of the staff and therefore there is no real pressure put on them.
I want a season 2 as much as everyone else does but let me just take this as a chance to say that some people in this fandom were complete assholes up until now when discussing season 2

y’all couldn’t even be happy for irino miyu when he announced that he was studying abroad and instead you guys kept going “WHAT ABOUT SEASON 2″ do you think everything revolves around an ososan season 2????? you say you support these VAs but if you can’t even be happy for them when they embark on something like this, then you’re not supportive at all, you’re just being self-entitled as fuck

1. likewise to what you said, if we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes you shouldn’t say they’re working on it like you know
2. this is not actually a problem. you see, normally, japanese anime productions give very little shit about their overseas audience so even if that were the case, the japanese audience always takes precedence. also, i know it’s a rare sight nowadays but actually I don’t remember anyone from neither the western or eastern fandoms directly harassing the staff at their @’s about season 2 so no one is really putting pressure on them but just showing genuine interest in season 2.

it’s true not all revolves around osomatsu-san but I think fans are allowed to feel sad about an artist they love taking a break. after all, it means you won’t be able to listen to him for a while and while I am personally happy for him, i am also a bit sad. yes, because I’m also a fan of other characters he voices and I don’t want him to be replaced.
that being said, I’m saying these because this is how I view the fandom. I’m not very active on the tumblr fandom so I don’t know it the mentioned assholes are from here or not, but for all I know the fandom I see isn’t as pushy as you make it sound. people stress they want to Know there’s going to be more osomatsu and I think it’s a fair thing to wish for, from a series you like.
