Sure did take me 2 days and 2 near emotional meltdowns to learn how to use CSP’s animation tools and make this work.

Hello there, and yes, yes I am. The Storm starts some months after the Season 2 finale and everything up to that point is unchanged from canon. The canon version of TBOBF doesn't happen simply because I wrote the fic before the show aired lol. So, you could say that from the end of the Season 2 finale up to the inciting events in the first chapters of The Stars, Luke has only seen Din's face once.

I am in fact forever delighted at how people will stumble across dinluke, get curious, and then it's been days of binging fics and consuming everything dinluke ever. What an incredible "5 seconds of interaction" ship.

New weekend twofer scribbles while I continue the merch design grind. Was going to be nice and cram the images next to each other to save space but decided these are too nice and I will instead hog space on your dash. You're welcome.

First one came to my sleep-deprived brain during one of my 10-hr days at the office earlier this week. Forever obsessed with dinluke + intimacy I can't help it.

Second one came at me like a hurricane after seeing this post and arguing with myself because it unlocked something fucking feral in my sleep-deprived brain. Yes, we love all the Darksaber stuff but hand-to-hand combat? Learning how to make, take, and roll with the punches? Bodying each other into the nearest solid surface? Hells yeah.

Shower thought turned into a diptych called "Aftermath of a Barfight on Niamos Started by a Baby Who Did Nothing Wrong Ever".

Two weeks of merch designs has me churning doodles out faster than ever. I'll post the finished stuff later in the week if I don't die from all the OT I have to work to make up for the long holiday weekend.

Feeling a bit insane for taking on this merch project while trying to sruvive work, finish a fic, and continue working on another fic. Have I ever done merch before? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Have I been doing research here and there on vendors and their processes? Absolutely.

The idea is to turn all of them into stickers. Depending on how they turn out, I plan to move forward with the following:

Still need to order test prints but I hate the "convert to CYMK" step and have been procrastinating. Anyway, that is the progress report on the merch front. Sure is an interesting endeavor.

It's my birthday today, so have a fic update as a treat (while I treat myself to Disneyland, fingers crossed I spot Din and Grogu there).

Hello there! I must admit, I too feel very strongly that we should've spent way more time with that beskar spear. If I'm being honest (and if anyone following this blog isn't following my main and isn't already aware of my feelings about the current season) I'll probably stick with the S1 and S2 aesthetics for whatever designs I choose to move forward with. I have... complicated feelings about certain design choices made in TBOBF and S3 and would rather create things that spark joy.

The idea of selling prints was a bust for a number of reasons, the main one being the lack of time and energy. I still want to try my hand at doing some merch stuff so I've started looking at stickers and acrylic charms/keychains (mostly because I now need to seriously think about supplementing my income in some way and this would use one of my biggest strengths while being less anxiety-inducing than doing commissions).

I'd love to do a mix of both general Star Wars stuff and the more specific DinLuke stuff, and I'd also love to offer a few things for my homies in the other fandoms I've been in (looking at you, my Tron peeps). Feel free to throw suggestions in my face!

Is it confession time? I guess it's confession time. I can confidently say that at this time, none of my WIPs contain the word string "I love you" because I am generally uncomfortable with using it and tend to reserve it for the single most impactful moment anywhere in a story. This could change as I edit the chapters but no promises ;)

Y'all are getting a twofer this weekend. I'm supposed to be writing the next Gravity Well chapter but when have I ever been able to wrangle my impulses?

Not that this is in any way related to the 3quelfic, but I wanted to brainstorm sleeping quarters on a heavily modified Auzituck gunship and then got lost in the sauce in my newer CSP brushes. This is all in service of future fic illustrations, don't judge me.

May or may not work on a third sketch based on a pre-ANH meet-cute before the weekend is over. I hope not. I really need to write.

Fun little (little?) doodle of the two blorbos from the two fandoms that have had the biggest fucking impact on my life on/off-line. It's also been way too fucking long since I did a serious doodle of Tron in his Tron Betrayal/Legacy suit and good god, I forgot how fucking ridiculous that goddamn fucking jumpsuit is, but I'm a sucker for lights and lighting up those circuits made me too fucking happy.

I'm not gonna look too deep into how weirdly similar they both are when Tron rezzes his helmet on. Nobody look too deep into this kthnx.

Part 1 of "dinluke + kisses ruined my workflow". Part 2 is in the far future because I am writing two fics, I don't have the time to map out and draw a 1-page silent comic. I am also still rusty as hell so maybe work on drawing a bit more before attempting another comic? Maybe????

The 3quelfic is now live: The Stars.

Taking a break from working on Gravity Well by working on The Stars, which is what the 3quelfic is going to be called and is hopefully going live this weekend. Here's a snippet of art-in-progress for it.

I, a fucking fool, am trying something new that is also years overdue, which is actually fucking painting something. So, I'm painting them all. If nothing else, I'm gonna fucking learn how to paint real fast.

Fucking rip to this fool and their ambitious ways.

And now for something completely different--some fooling around with painting techniques, brushes, faces, and colors. At some point I need to practice ditching lines but not tonight.
