All I want right now is to lay in the grass, cuddle up next to you, and look at the stars. We would talk through the tranquility of the night with our hushed conversations about everything from our favorite pizza toppings to the things we swore to never reveal. We would name all the stars in the sky and sing to the moon until the silence engulfed us. Except this silence wouldn’t be awkward and unnerving. It would be filled with the jokes we made, the secrets we told, the trifling topics that were not nearly as meaningless as they seemed. This silence would be filled with the thundering outcries of love and passion. And in this deafening silence, I would fall asleep in your arms captivated by the beauty of everything. The chill of the night. The bright stars. The light-hearted yet profound conversation. The smell of your cologne. The feeling of your hands engulfing mine. The taste of your lips against mine. And most importantly, you.
