Dr. Pepper. The famous 23 flavor soda, has a lot of spinoff products, such as Diet Dr. Pepper. That’s not the topic here today. No we’re not talking about Diet Dr. Pepper barbecue sauce. But what we are talking about, is hot Dr. Pepper. That’s right, hot Dr. Pepper was originally introduced in the 1960’s as a winter beverage. Here’s some advertisements from the 1960’s showing about about Hot Dr. Pepper. However, it was short lived. But you still don’t believe me? You think this is a joke? Just go to the facts and questions article on the Dr. Pepper website. Anyway, I’m going to teach you how to make it. All you need is a Dr. Pepper; a can or bottle will be fine. And just proceed to open it, but DON'T blow it up like I did. Cuz’ you know, Bad Dr. Pepper right there. Anyway, you want to heat up a pan, or anything, and just pour a little Dr. Pepper in there, as much as you want. Alright, and as soon as we did that, we’re gonna take a lemon and a knife and make a small slice, and then put it into the glass that you’re gonna pour the hot Dr. pepper in. When the Dr. Pepper starts sizzling or steaming up… That’s it. Just take it off, and pour it in your glass. And if you’re using a glass glass glass made of glass like I am, put it very slowly. Like, wait five seconds between each… Each spill, so it doesn’t melt, cus you know, when glass melts… Glass… yeah. Also if you try this at home, and your lemon makes a popping bubble, comment or like, heh, cuz you know, thumbs up for that. Just some more footage of the popping lemon… Yeah, and basically, this is hot Dr. Pepper. It tastes just like Dr. Pepper, only it’s hot, kind of like tea. Brings out the cherry flavor. it’s a long shot bc shadow is obviously more iconic and popular and easily recognizable than (checks notes) a jrpg that deconstructed and reconstructed classic jrpg tropes but also it had a soundtrack that was done by REVO, fucking REVO of sound/linked horizon fame (and oh yeah he did the fucking attack on titan opening which, regardless of my own personal feelings about aot, i gotta admit is a banger)

ANYWAY what makes bravely’s soundtrack so good? well, the entire reason i played the game in the first place is because each character has their own theme that is crafted SO WELL and conveys so much about them!!! like each one has a signature instrument!!!!

the very first track i fell in love with was our sweet farmboy everyman tiz’s theme, you are my hope! thank you irish pennywhistle for everything you’ve done for us, against all odds.

agnes’ theme is a waltz that starts out vibrant and then matures into this quiet, thoughtful thing, that ramps back up with absolutely beautiful violins, edea’s theme is a brash, energetic one with the giddiest SAXOPHONE my favorite instrument the SAXOPHONE!!!!

and my absolute favorite, surprising no one, is ringabel’s theme! ringabel is my favorite character for many reasons, but i’d be lying if i said that his theme didn’t play a significant role in that. accordion, you get a bad rep but oh, it really is gorgeous.

i could go on and on and on, and i’ll even throw in some links: the live recording of love’s vagrant, sung by revo himself WHILE he plays the accordion and tries not to get hit by pyrotechnics (please ignore the subs its the only version i could find by itself), the most annoying idol song that may or may not get stuck in your head, a personal favorite boss track of mine, the final boss theme that has theeeee most poggers holy shit they did that hell yes sound track moment (you’ll know it when you hear it) and last but not least, the most popular track in the game….
