Yep.. 😊❤
Uhm, this feels like an attack😭

I kind of get annoyed or frustrated when people say that either Private Practice or Grey's Anatomy ruined Addison Montgomery's character. Which kind of doesn't make sense to me. For me, it makes complete sense that she behaves a bit differently from the two shows. In Grey's Anatomy she was literally just created as an obstacle for the two main love interests and as the "She-Shepherd", but she also became a mentor in that hospital and had a certain standard to uphold.
In Private Practice she was with her old best friend and people who she knew from her college and residency years. Which meant she was able to be herself more, because these people knew her as "Addie". She was also in new environment (L. A) , single as well, so she was able to start her new chapter in her life.
Naturally, sometimes you tend to be more like yourself, when you're around people that you're comfortable with and have history with. That was shown on PP, while on GA, Addison always kind of had a wall up, and only opened up herself to mostly Callie & Richard, maybe to prevent herself from getting ridiculed more.
I really liked seeing both sides of her, as both shows brought depth to her character.
Lol, not sure what brought this unexpected rant in the middle of the dead of night, but these were my thoughts 😂

We’re all traveling through time together. Everyday of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride.
Back in 2013, before I became obsessed with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I used to go to the movies, without having any idea what the movie was going to be about, which rarely happens for me now😅 But I will always remember going to the cinema, watching this movie for the first time. I was still in high school, and I actually went to go watch it with my parents. And to date, this movie has been one of my top 5 favourite romcom movies. It was just so surprisingly good. The chemistry between the cast was great, the music score, the dry and clever humor, the concept of time travel and the life lessons that you learned. I always recommend this romcom to friends, when they want to get out of the normal cliche stories. Such a great movie to re-watch as well. :)
Can we please take a moment to realize Pepa and Félix are without question THE most affectionate Disney couple?
Let’s think about this for a second. The main romances are never together until the last scene, and their touches are limited to one or two kisses, and a short happily ever after montage where maybe he has his arm around her waist as they ride off into the sunset (every single Disney princess sans Nala and Belle). They’ll talk and laugh but they won’t ever actually touch or if they do it’s limited to maybe brushing hair back or touching them only when necessary to save them but that’s it. Every physical touch is all big grand romantic gestures that stand out and help move the plot along.
Belle and Beast, she ‘didn’t shudder as she touched his paw’ and then they have one romantic dance where her resting her head on his chest was the most physicality any Disney couple had in a while but again, it was a big romantic gesture designed to be noticed and move the plot along. They don’t touch just to touch. And even Nala almost every touch she had with Simba was deliberate and meant to be noticed and to move the romantic plot along (I don’t know about you but I think Pepa and Félix might have take the spot away from Nala and Simba for best Disney sex eyes)
The rare times there’s more than once romance in a movie it’s limited to what Augustin and Julieta have. A gentle simmering of sweet romance and that’s it. We hear they’re married, they may hold one another close at the end of the movie but again, very little actual physical affection.
Now let’s look at Pepa and Félix. There very first intro she’s literally grabbing him, yanking him close and lifting him up off his feet to kiss him
Then his hand is around her waist and stays that way the entire time they walk up the stairs after their first scene. No big grand gesture, no plot development, just a background note you might not even catch. Then with Antonio’s gift ceremony he takes her by the shoulders and doesn’t let go, and when they’re waiting at the door they’re completely wrapped around one another and when he gets his gift again, just a background moment, but he misses her hand and she looks at him with sheer relief and adoration
And let’s not forget the ‘fuck me’ eyes she gives him at breakfast when he gets her to calm down about the chair
During the Bruno song I can’t even count how many times his hand is around her waist and the calling card to all Pepa/Félix shippers that is ‘I’m sorry Mi Vida go onnnn!’ Where he’s singing right into her ear and neck and she’s got *that* kind of smile on her face as she dies which is as close as Disney will ever get to a couple necking
While I mentioned Disney romances only touching eachother to save the other I think theirs should count bc again, it’s just a background moment, not plot development, but when the house shakes and she falls he’s right there to catch her and help her. No plot, no big gesture, it’s not the focus of the scene… it’s just there
And then during the end song…. My god. When Bruno whips her around his hand is right there to catch her and then he pulls her close where once again , she gives him bedroom eyes, his hand is on her waist and hers is on his chest.
Also what’s even more miraculous and remarkable about it is this isn’t the star, this isn’t some 18 year old Disney princess, this is a 50 year old woman with three kids whose oldest is an adult herself, and Félix is a dark skinned Black man who is affectionate and loving and adoring, something you very rarely see in mainstream media. And what’s more is none of these moments are played for laughs. It’s straight and serious and romantic and physical and so amazing. Disney really broke the mold with them and I’m so grateful to them for it
I know everyone favors "Surface Pressure" and "We don't talk about Bruno" , but my favorite is actually the very first song of the movie "The Family Madrigal" . The song is a bop, and it kind of prepares you for how good the rest of music is going to be in the movie.
It's so upbeat and exciting. But what I really love about the song, is how you can see the true admiration Mirabel has for her family, there's literally no bitterness.
And let's not even start on the lyric delivery by the singer. She's going so fast at a certain point, but you can understand every word she's saying😂.
I just realized how much I love the voices of all the kids/children in Encanto. Seriously, they sounds so nostalgic like from the older Disney animation movies. When the kids were so excited, they felt so realistic and made you laugh or smile, while Antonio made your heart nearly break with his "I need you" ♥️
Why do I feel that everyone who complained about Bruno, actually went to go ask him about their futures, and he just gave it as it is. Have they ever heard of self-fulfilling prophecies? 😅 Like what if the lady with the fish asked about her fish's health, and he said the fish will die the next day, and out of fear and paranoia, she accidentally overfed the fish, thinking it might save it, but actually caused its demise😂
I have to say... The Madrigal family can do some great group poses. Like how many have they done 😂, but it's so beautiful. I love the diversity
Gosh, the more I watch Encanto, I cannot help to notice and admire the little tid bits they add in scenes. Then those tid bits actually forshadows something later in the movie or highlight certain characters hidden fears and views. Like with the whole Bruno situation. I noticed that Mirabel's mother, Julieta is the only one that doesn't speak ill of her brother. She and her husband are the only two adult family members that don't participate in the song "We don't talk about Bruno". Then her children also don't really speak scary things about him, they just don't talk about him, because of their Abuela. Julieta even openly speaks about him to Mirabel, without even being asked. Uggh I love this movie so much.
I just realized (thanks tik-tok) that the reason why I still buy childish things at 25 years old is because I’m trying to heal my inner child.
I swear to god if I see any more “Leighton was in the wrong!!” “no, Alicia was in the wrong! discourse I will punch a wall
