“killing the flowers will not delay spring” / al-yarmouk palestinian refugee camp in damascus, syria

little palestine; diary of a siege (2021) dir. abdallah al-khatib

I just saw a western who uploaded a recipe for 'chai tea latte' and I have absolutely no idea on what grounds she's even calling it chai it's made of fucking syrups and white bitches are fighting me in the comments saying she's exercising her free will by making that atrocity and calling it what she wants I-

Aight ik what to do

From now on whenever someone says 'chai tea' I will pretend to not have the slightest idea what they're talking about I'll refuse to understand they're referring to chai until they say the word chai, just chai, not chai tea latte or any combination of those three words, just chai and I might accept masala tea

Long story short: If you call it chai tea in front of my shakal face again I'm gonna mukka punch you until you're mrit dead

7 tips in getting closer to Allah SWT

  • read the Qur'an everyday reading the word of Allah and understanding what you are reading will make you feel close to Him as you know that this is not a Book that anyone has just written - it has come directly from Allah SWT. subhanallah. reading and understanding what He says will make you want to practise what the Qur'an says and, in turn, be closer to Him.
  • be around people who remember Allah human beings have great influence on each other so it is important to have righteous people around you. their relationship with Allah SWT will inspire you to build and improve yours.
  • understand what you recite in salah knowing what you are reciting will help you understand how many blessings you are gaining with just a single prayer. take time to learn the translation (if you do not speak/understand arabic) of what you are reciting and why.
  • learn Allah's 99 names and attributes 'And to Allah alone belong all perfect attributes; so call on Him by these' (7:181) Allah likes it when we call Him by his names and it is important to recognise and understand Him. think of Him as your friend: when you get to know someone better, you get closer to them. it is the same thing, in fact, better, with Allah SWT.
  • have secret good deeds between you and Allah again, like having a friend, having something that is just between you and your Lord will make you feel closer to Him.
  • make lots of du'a - especially in sujood having your dua's come true is the best feeling, especially when you have been praying for something for a long time, alhamdulillah. praying for anything, no matter how big or small, will make you feel closer to Him as you know that He alone will make everything okay and knows what is best for you.
  • remember death and prepare for it this one can be very hard but it is important to remember that death can come at anytime so always try and do good deeds and live righteously in order to please Allah. when having this mindset that each day is a new chance to seek forgiveness and do good deeds, you will feel closer to Him by wanting Him to be happy with you.

It would be beautiful, no? when we meet the one we prayed for, when we meet the one written for us? If we were really written for each other and if He unites us again, if someday we do meet... i pray it feels like home, a home i had once known and had to leave for sometime. I pray it feels like meeting a close companion I had lost touch with but remembered all along. I pray love feels like the warmth of the autumn sun, like the serenity in the presence of a mother. I pray it feels safe. Like feeling understood by a bestfriend. I pray love is all this and more. I pray you experience a love Allah is pleased with, a love He blesses. I pray it is kind, gentle, and fulfilling. I pray it heals and mends the cracks, makes life a little easier. I pray it helps you grow. I pray if I am ever loved I am loved for my soul, my strange habits and vocabulary, my strange self, my several (thousand) mood swings, my heart. I pray if you're seen, you're seen and loved for your soul before your flesh. I pray love is like the tranquility you feel coming home after an exhausting day. I pray it is arms waiting to embrace you when the world feels exhausting. I pray it is comfortable than solitude, because how else would it be worth it to let someone else in, in your little weird world.

I came to the realization recently that I'm completely alone in this world. Not physically, but on a spiritual level. Completely isolated, not by choice. But this is the qadr of Allah and part of my test in this dunya. It's not easy to remain steadfast when it's just you. And you have so many outside forces trying to drag you down. Then you also have to fight the war within yourself. It can get exhausting, and there will be days, when you feel like you have lost the fight living in the darkness that surrounds you. But Alhamdulillah, it is Allah who gives us strength to carry on even when we are alone. Who guides us back to light. I'm still amazed how Allah guided me. I could have been like everyone else around me, lost in the world. We can sit and compare our journey with everyone else, but we haven't all had the same opportunities. And we need to make the most of what Allah has given us. And be grateful for every blessing. Especially when it comes to our tawheed. I no longer live my life like I have a backup plan. I'm in this alone and I know it. I have no other choice but to strive for my akhirah. I have to put in the work, and give it my all. To strive to earn the pleasure and love of my Lord, because once I'm gone I can't rely on anyone to remember me, to pray for me. Allah is sufficient for us and he is the best disposer of affairs. Once you truly understand this, everything thrown at you in life becomes bearable. If you take care of your affairs with Allah, He will take care of you. You don't need to be a scholar to become someone in the eyes of Allah. You just have to be true and sincere. Many of us are sinful slaves; but the difference is in those who repent and are remorseful. Who strive for the cause of Allah even when things get difficult because they know that their reward is with Allah, and nothing in this world will ever compare

‎فأين تذهبون؟ Thus, where are you going, Oh Insaan? (٨١:٢٦)

Where are you going, When so much of benefit has been placed in your Deen, And every Hukm aids your wellbeing

Where are you going, When you are being promised so much in the hereafter, You are being promised everlasting bliss

Where are you going, When the world is seeing that Islaam is the religion that holds the most wisdom, And that all its laws are a protection

Where are you going, When Allah is calling you back to repent, And there is so much of hope left for you

Where are you going, When your Rabb is a Merciful one, When you know that true peace of heart lies in the remembrance of Allah, And you know that building a connection with your Creator will bring you true peace

Where are you going, When there is so much of consolation in your Deen, And promised with hardship, is ease

Where are you going, Why are you heading towards the prohibited, And abandoning the permissible

Where are you going, How is it that you are attracted to Haraam, And you are not satisfied with Halaal

Where are you going, Does Allāh not ask us over and over whether we observed past nations, Will we not ponder, it is possible that the same fate could reach us

Where are you going, Is now not the time to repent, We do not know whether the punishment of Allāh is hanging above us

Where are you going, Do you not realise how Allah is addressing you, He awaits your return, He awaits your Taubah

Where are you going, You are beseeched Oh Ummah, Realise, the promise of Allāh is true

‎إنّ الله لا يغيّر ما بقوم حتّٰى يغيروا ما بأنفسهم Verily, Allāh does not change the condition of a people until they change the condition within themselves (١٣:١١)

So Oh Insaan, exactly where are you going?

Silence. Father and Son by Igor Kravtsov

In the aged lines

In the youthful lines

There is youth galore and old divine

Father and son stand together

A moment in peace, blank whiteness and the sea
