Fall in love with your purpose. Everybody needs something they are passionate about, I feel like that’s what makes you, you. And let go of whatever isn’t helping you grow.
You know you have an amazing relationship
when the biggest thing you disagree on is how many pillows you want to be on the bed.
Me: 6.
Him: 2.
And I’m gonna win like I always do.
I can’t believe we live in a world where the idea of helping people fleeing from war and famine is a controversial issue.
Ahh Christmas time.
A month that used to be filled with excitement and sledding and sitting by the fireplace and knowing you’re going to get everything you ask for.
Replaced with long visits to the Post Office surrounded by screaming children and old women who don’t know how to use their debit cards, buying presents from other countries that may or may not come in time, spending all of your money on gifts and only working 40 hours for the whole month and wondering how January is even going to happen...but having faith that amidst the 90 degree weather, the blazing sun and the palm trees decorated with lights and tinsel.....that it will feel like Christmas at some point and everything will be worth it.
I want to adopt a horse. :( They are so cheap to adopt and I want to train it to love and be loved again and lie with it in the sun and feed it apples. My goal for next year is to start making enough ~steady~ money to be able to afford a horse.
I spent the day cleaning out my closet in preparation to move (again). I have a giant pile (like giiiiaant) of clothes that no longer fit me. Some of them I never even wore because I was waiting to ~look good~ in them and then I lost too much weight (and lots of boob) and they’re all baggy! Don’t lose weight if you’re poor.
And now off to work I go.
A good Sunday:
Summer is here! And I am loving it (until it gets too unbearably hot, then I will hate it). This morning I bought all my fresh goodies from the markets (A+ for effort on a Sunday morning) and then went to the beach with Molly, Lisa, Comino & Catty and laid in the sun, watched a whale, migrated to the pool and then spent the rest of the morning on the astro-turf balcony with a chambord/vodka spritz meditating, stretching, doing handstands and smoking doobs.
I came home and meal prepped for the week and made salads, roasted bacon fat potatoes, roasted veg and overnight oats. Then I rewarded myself for my productivity by finishing painting the rest of my herb pots so I can plant my herbs in them tomorrow. Now I am laying in bed, suntanned and sleepy, trying to motivate myself to learn Illustrator tutorials and waiting for my love to get home so we can vape and watch a movie.
And I have Monday off. And tuesday. So I will have plenty more awesome days like this, this week. Crossing my fingers that my work application will go through immigration and I will be allowed to work again soon.
A great Friday
1. Being finished with work by 7am.
2. Talking to the girls at work about how much we hate kids and how much we love cronuts and alcohol until 8am.
3. Driving home to a lovely boyfriend in bed who was extra affectionate.
4. An awesome workout with said lovely boyfriend.
5. A delicious breakfast date with boyfriend and Brody and a takeaway thickshake for the long drive home from Brisbane.
6. Clean sheets, a shower and rolling around in bed all afternoon.
7. Going to Miami Marketta and eating lots of meat and giant German sausages, followed by my 2nd and 3rd desserts of the day.
8. Coming home and smoking the vape and lighting candles and carefully choosing a documentary that we know we aren’t going to watch anyways.
A weekend consisting of:
- 13 hours of work on a Friday (I don’t think I’ve worked that many hours in a day in years)
- An early wake up for pilates & wanky markets with expensive broccoli
- Camping plans gone bad due to thunderstorms (that never even happened)
- Playing drinking games then getting stoned and trying to keep playing drinking games and failing miserably
- Getting pork belly pizza, bringing it home & smearing nutella on it
- Having a full-blown nutella fight
- A day spent on a beach with no high-rises in site (but lots of children because its school holidays ew)
- Ciders and coconut gelato and wine and naps on the beach
- An afternoon storm & a roast dinner
I got to spend the whole weekend with Samara & David and it was awesome. We never get to hang out as a trio anymore and we make a pretty good one (David is the pack mule who carries our beach bags while we share a gelato cone). We have been spending so many weekends in Brisbane or hanging out with our SOs that it is good to spend time just us like we used to.
Now a busy, happy week of work because I love my job(s) and I get to make blueberry protein balls with Anna.

This week:
I got fired.
I saw Motion City Soundtrack in concert.
I got kicked off dancing on the stage at the after party. The fourth time the security was a bit mad.
I caught up with Samara with a GTL from Starbucks.
I got my nipple pierced and now I keep looking down my shirt while in public to admire it.
I drank too many whiskey sours for someone who was just fired.
I did many hours of taking caps and dancing on podiums with David.
I came home and jumped the fence to the estate and left a trail of confetti behind me.
I SUBMITTED MY VISA! Now I wait 12-15 months to hear from them.
