Lucifers VS Lucifers : Round 2

Lucemon :

Has an attack literally called Paradise Lost Punch

Lucifer :

he's good silly and stupid. canonically described as the biggest slut in the world. 0 braincells, completely hyperactive. also has major traumatized sadboy credentials. one time someone thought he was doing something nefarious because he handed a cop a wedge of money then the cop handed him a duffle bag but it turns out he was just buying the cops duffel bag because he thought it was nice. eats cocaine. definitely gets pegged. is in therapy. not always doing his best but my god he is always doing something.

Pasteups in NYC denouncing Facebook for collaboration with Nebraska police to sentence a teenage girl to 90 days in jail for using using the abortion pill to terminate her pregnancy.

Facebook gave the cops ALL THE DATA of the teen and her mother, based on a hunch by some random fucking cop. This included years worth of photos, videos, 'private' chats and THEIR FUCKING LOCATION DATA.

DON'T TRUST SOCIAL MEDIAS WITH ANYTHING

Ineffable Husbands really is that ship that has it all. They’re married. They’re divorced. They’ve never been together at all. They’ve been pining for 6000 years. They’re gay except they’re also not at all. They’re technically enemies to lovers but they’ve never been enemies nor lovers. Name any fanfic trope, they’ve probably been there, done that and they were entirely oblivious about it. Incredible ship.

crowley must have known that aziraphale was also in love with him, he tidied the bookshop, he was planning on taking him to the Ritz after his confession, he had their song queued in the car these are not acts of someone who wasn't sure what the outcome will be.

which makes it so much more painful that he still confessed his love for aziraphale with tears in his eyes and on the verge of a full blown panic attack, he left saying "don't bother" but he still waited by his car til the elevator doors closed. all because

WHAT?!

I study graphic design and my tutor recommended and used this in his classes at art college last year, it’s so good it has SO many features for free, I really recommend it, even if you’re just trying to learn the basics of PS, such a wonderful thing <3

As I'm starting to reread Animorphs, I'm beginning to think that if Tobias was a bit more assertive, he would probably be a better leader than Jake... After all, Tobias was the one who was wholeheartedly committed to the war since the beginning, he also just generally seems to be in the right for the majority of the series. Am I off on this?

Although Tobias is definitely the one pulling them into the war in those first couple books, I don't think he's leader material.

Setting aside his repeated assertion (in #13, #29, #37) that "I'm nobody's leader", Tobias is too independent and uncompromising to keep the team together. You know that episode of Avatar where Toph keeps insisting that "I carry my own weight" and does take care of herself... but the whole point is that her insistence on not relying on others can also be very self-centered? That's Tobias. He's every bit as tough and self-sufficient at Toph... and his determination to always to his own self be true means that he can sometimes miss when his refusal of help is hurting the team.

Like, look at Tobias in #1. He says over and over "We have to do this". But the moment Marco says "We could all get killed!", Tobias dismisses him as "some kind of coward." It's Jake who persuades Marco to at least try morphing, Jake who finds a middle ground between "We find the Yeerk pool... blow it up and kill every one of those evil slugs" (Tobias's suggestion) and "pretend it was all a dream" (Marco's). Jake deals with opposition through voting, through compromise, through insisting that everyone hear everyone else out. Tobias deals with opposition through "Whatever you guys decide, I'm going to fight" — and he means it. If all the others are out, Tobias really does plan to fight the war alone (#3).

And then look at how that first battle goes. Jake is the one who keeps track of time, and keeps track of his team. Tobias is the one who morphs early and ignores the others half the time. Jake moves the mission parameters from "kill all yeerks" to "save Cassie and Tom". Tobias still wants to save everyone. Jake calls a retreat, even though he's maybe leaving his own brother to die. Tobias refuses to retreat, until it's too late.

Tobias values freedom above all else, even when freedom's just another word for "nothing left to lose." It's his greatest strength, and it's the reason he cannot lead a team.

Not to mention he was a bit too ok with a sort of genocide in Megamorphs 2. Like, it's one thing to be confident in a plan. It's a whole nother thing to say the Mecora HAVE to die cause timey wimey shenanigans.

Yeah, like, Jake also Does a Genocide, but he does it after consulting Marco and Ax. Tobias deliberately goes behind the backs of everyone but Ax, and he does it on pretty flimsy justification.

Yeah!  And “to thine own self be true” is also such a banger of a line, it belongs in a play.
