FYI if your employer does this, if they have done it for a long time especially, you and your coworkers could be owed huge amounts of unpaid wages and it would be an easy suit if there is a paper trail like this and your employer is placing strict requirements on your behavior while not at work. CGI animators should unionize next. normally, their jobs would be too precarious to strike, since studios would replace them without a second thought, but if it's part of this larger general film strike, they might finally have meaningful power to better their working conditions
if CGI animators unionized, it would kill the MCU. straight up. the the entire business model is built on exploiting CGI animators (i am not a fan of marvel. burn disney to the ground)

And both can be true simultaneously…. My BiL was just telling me that he’s so far ahead on his quotas (and his whole unit is) that their manager keeps telling them to slow down a little so he spends like 3 hrs a day on video games and is still ahead.
The ways we could restructure our economy if we were willing to admit that working people to the bone is NOT the most efficient way to do things and isn’t good for people OR companies…

- Mocking language

- “We’re your family too”
- Talking as if this is a thing you must do
- “We all make sacrifices”
- Undermining your authority
- “You caused all of this, really”
- Accusing you of being “unprofessional”
- “Look at the money you cost us”
- “Just laugh it off and come back to work”
This is like a 101 course in how employers use guilt trips to coerce you into putting up with their bullshit. This is precisely why you should never trust those employers who insist that they’re “like a family.” They are not. It’s just a ruse so that your boss can neg you into putting your job ahead of your actual life.

That is the most hated trope for me, when the abused kid always forgives the parent because of whatever excuse the writers decide.
They also showed him realise what happened to him was wrong and realising how badly he was treated! It wasn’t always known to him or realised…part of his journey was realising this himself.
It is so rare to see a kid allowed to be angry at those who hurt them and it made me so happy to see this!
