If you o't mind my asking, how exactly did you get pt in a wheelchair?

Pull up a chair anon, and gather around while I tell you a story. Once upon a time there was a young lad, just 20 years of age, he had to work a closing shift that evening but his friends invited him out to come drink beer in the sun and swim at this local river in the mountains. He was going to clean his room that day, but decided, “Meh, fuck it. I’ll do it tomorrow,” and he went with his friends. But, while his friends drank beer the young man got bored, and decided he hadn’t done any cliff diving lately, and he had to leave for work soon anyway, so fuck it, and he climbed to the top of the highest rock around. This rock, in fact. Yes, the big mother fucker.

From atop the large rock everyone looked very, very small. The young man licked his finger, checked the wind, waited for it to die down, and took a running leap off the rock. Now about halfway down the wind caught his shorts and flipped him onto his back. He did a back flop, the combination of hitting the surface tension and whiplash burst fractured his C7 vertebra. He got a very expensive helicopter ride to the local hospital and nearly died during surgery.

That man was me, and that’s the story of the only time I never showed up to work without calling in.

R.I.P. Betty Willis, graphic designer behind the famous “Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas” sign

Designer Who Created the Iconic ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ Sign Has Died

Nevada graphic designer Betty Willis, who created the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign that became a globally recognized icon of hedonism, died Monday at age 91, according to the Neon Museum.

Her design, gifted to Las Vegas in 1959, is emblematic of Googiearchitecture, with its characteristic futuristic motifs. Although the sign is formally owned by the Young Electric Sign Co., its image remains perennially in the public domain, with reprints adorning all manner of Vegas memorabilia from coffee mugs to T-shirts.

Willis was brought up outside Las Vegas and worked at Western Neon in 1952, after attending school in Los Angeles in 1952. “We thought the town was fabulous, so we added the word,” she once said.”

What is Chen’s most attractive feature? (150423 Young Street)

Kai: I am not sure but can I say what my personal favourite is for his facial feature?

Chanyeol: Lip’s corner!

Kai: I like the cheekbones beside Chen hyung’s smile lines

Guk Joo: The cheekbones that is beside his smile lines

Kai: It makes your features more sharp so it makes his cute face appears more manly.. so I personally really like it

Guk Joo: Ok Chanyeol now its your turn what is Chen’s attractive feature

Chanyeol: errm..

Kai: He is looking at him like if its his first time seeing him

Everyone: LOL

Kai: Stop looking at him as if he is a stranger!!

Chanyeol: no because it was so sudden~ but I think the most attractive feature on his face is his lip’s corner.. it curls upwards.. so even if he doesn’t do anything it looks like he is smiling

Kai: It looks really innocent

Chanyeol: And Chen is very kindhearted.. like you know those people who are so kind they are like an idiot? That would be Chen!

Guk Joo: He always looks like he is smiling!! Even though I don’t look at him often but when I do it seems like he is smiling

Kai: Weren’t you just staring at him this entire time though?

Guk Joo: Don’t say that~ don’t say that~  even though I started noticing him since MAMA

ChenKai: LOLOL

Guk Joo: But I have to agree with this listener here that it is Chen’s middle part… some girl’s can’t even pull it off but he pulls it off so well!! This is not an easy hair style! I think i f you can pull this hair style off then any hair style will look good.

Chen: I chose middle part too!

was having some random 4am thoughts

y’know, ever since i was a young teen i remember when i watched anime i would always take notice when a girl would be in a swimsuit or just be in a scene with her stomach bare because she’d always have a flawless stomach and by this i don’t mean thin, i mean, no cuts or marks or scars or any sort of imperfection on them, and in any sort of media that’d always be the case

and i guess for a while i felt a little self conscious about my own stomach because i have a lot of surgery scars on them and i’d never wear anything that would reveal my stomach cause i thought it was “ugly” and every girl has flawless skin

now i don’t think that way anymore and think my scars are just ways to show off how i’ve survived tough shit and they’re not even bad looking, it’s also why i enjoy giving Nepeta a lot of scars, not just because she’s a huntress and it makes sense but because i’ve added a bit of myself to her and it makes me happy that ppl like those details and it makes me feel good about myself too

Thank you for an intimate, visually stimulating experience that overwhelmed the senses with beautiful singing, stunning art, informative gallerists, and beautiful people. The humor came through in the art as well as the names of the pieces. JLY was in rare form and blew us a way with an up close and personal experience where we got to see two sides of the artist simultaneously. Beautifully done!

Photos borrowed from other posts because I stayed back to give others a chance to be up close to JLY. So no close shots, sorry girls.

i unlearned raising my eyebrows at a young age because i was scared of wrinkles and that’s why i look like i’m 10 now #flopmonsbeautysecrets

“He says ‘I don’t get it, why are you still a virgin at 24?’
He says ‘I don’t believe you, I’ve seen you walk, virgins don’t walk like that’
He says, ‘That ain’t natural, people are supposed to fuck.’
Asks ‘Why though? No offense though.’
I ask ‘When was your first time?’
He says ‘I was 12’
He says ‘I know what you’re thinking, that’s too young.’
I look at his knuckles, he has two good hands.
He says ‘She was older than me.’
I ask ‘How old?’
And he says ‘It’s better that the girl is older, that’s how I learnt all things I know’
He licks his lips.
I ask again ‘How old?’
He says ‘I could use one finger to make you sob’
I think of my brother in prison and I can’t remember his face.
I ask again ‘How old?’
He says ‘Boys become men in the laps of women, you know?’
I think of my mothers faced lined with her bad choices in men.
He says ‘If you were mine you wouldn’t get away with this shit, I’d eat you for hours, I’d gut you like fruit.’
I think of my cousins circumcision, how she feels like a mermaid, not human from the waist down.
He says ‘I’d look after you, you know?’
I laugh, I ask for the last time ‘How old?’
He says ’34.’
He says ‘She was beautiful though and I know what you’re thinking but it’s not like that, I’m a man, I’m a man, I’m a man. No one could ever hurt me.’”
