Okay but I got to thinking about Vanguard it’s kinda interesting the Parallels between seasons - The first two are like “Aichi’s” Seasons with the last being “Kai’s” Seasons if you will
With Season 1and 3 kinda paralleling eachother a bit and 2and 4
Season 1: Aichi is trying to win Kais approval and get strong in trying to get stronger in the hopes of garnering Kai’s attention he starts relying on a strange supernatural power (I.E Psyqualia) that makes him stronger/better (kinda) but also has negative effects on him-and in the end eventually realizes that he is strong without it and doesn’t need to depend on it and just how much he’s fucked up.
Season 3: Kai sees how strong Aichi is getting and now he feels as if he isn’t good enough/strong enough and in the hopes of becoming stronger ends up letting himself become consumed by a strange supernatural power (Link Joker) that while makes him stronger is also really bad.
Season 2: Aichi is the only one to notice something is wrong and seem to remember certain things that no one else does- Remembering the Royal Paladin Clan when everyone else doesn’t even seem to have heard of it
Season 4: Kai is the only one notice something is amiss and remember things that no one else does. No one but him remembering Aichi and all the things he’s done.
I’m finally up to the G series of Cardfight Vanguard. It’s been ages since I’ve watched the first 4 seasons, but I will always love Aichi talking in such a series tone (like under Psyqualia and being Reveresed). I felt like a parent watching their smol blue bean growing up.
Though I still get hit with the Kaichi feels when I watch the series.
*naoki voice* What the fuck did you just fucking say about Aichi, you little fuck? I’ll have you know he graduated top of his class in Hitsue Junior High, and he’s been involved in numerous battles against popular cardfighters, and he has over 300 confirmed victories. He is trained in Royal Paladin warfare and he was the top cardfighter in the entire Asia Circuit. You are nothing to him but another close friend. He will wipe you the fuck out with drive trigger checks the likes of which has never been seen before on the planet Cray, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit about him from across the room? Think again, fucker. As we speak we are contacting a secret network of units across Cray and Aichi’s location is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little fog you call your memories. You’ll fucking remember, kid. He can be anywhere, anytime, and he can defeat you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with his Blaster Blade. Not only is he extensively trained in Limit Break combat, but he has access to the entire arsenal of Psyqualia powers and he will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn fuck. I will shit Narukami fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’ll fucking remember, kiddo.
Reversed OTP time. Draws on a coupleof thingies from Pixiv that brought about the idea. Could be taken as a Bad End to Яevise, or as a standalone piece. A sequel/partner fanfic, Яebellion, is in the works to go with that’ll go on the aftermath and the action brought up, focusing more on the others that get left behind here. This is more setting the stage and planning for the revolution.
Main Character(s): Sendou Aichi/Link Joker Aichi, Kai Toshiki/Link Joker Kai, Ishida Naoki
Not only did the douche trampled on aichi’s will to protect everyone and used him as a puppet, but here he’s also undermining AICHI’S ENTIRE LIFE TENET AND EXPERIENCES THAT HE HAS HAD TO GAINED IN ORDER TO BE THE PERSON WHO HE IS TODAY.
AND THAT IS A SIGN OF UTMOST DISRESPECT.
honest to a fault? Stupidity? It was neither of those things.
Aichi wasn’t honest to a fault. Because he hadn’t been honest with admitting his own insecurities that psyqualia managed to make such hell and caused him to almost lose his identity and independence in s1. And it was his friend’s faith, and Aichi’s own faith of his own person’s ability to improve, the faith that he can still grow stronger without a creeping external supplement, that brought him back and boosted his self-assurance, enabling Aichi to branch out to many more people besides his friends in Q4.
It was his own blind idolatry of Kai, the idea that Kai couldn’t do no wrong, that Kai was wholly just a defenseless victim of LJ’s brainwashing, that made Aichi’s whole fight against LJ to save Kai so upsetting up until the end. Aichi’s skewed assessment of his competence made Kai felt conflicted and undeserving and pressured to be held up on such a high pedestal, dropping Kai’s self-esteem lower than it has been, urging him to commit destruction just to gain strength so that he can look worthy in Aichi’s eyes and soothe his own plummeting confidence. This also ultimately created a large drift in their relationship. It was when Aichi learned to LOOK at his friend like A HUMAN BEING WHO CAN COMMIT MISTAKES AND HAS INSECURITIES, had faith in Kai’s ability to repent and improve, and acted on that faith, that their final fight in s3 was so successful in purging out past uncertainties, helping them started anew.
Aichi Sendou has never been honest to a fault or stupid, and his so-called “blind” faith was learned, was gained from countless heartbreak, doubts, tears, fear, and mistakes.
tl;dr Serra thinks himself as some great psychology major but he’s just a dick.
and this post was originally intended to be making fun of serra’s lewd eyes toward the blueberry.
