In which the zombie apocalypse is consuming the world and Sirius and Remus get separated in a food run.
The cut running along the side of Remus’ forehead throbbed with the sweat and blood quickly drying in the hot, noon sun. His stomach felt like it was concaving into itself, his muscles ache from sleeping on the ground all night. His feet kept sliding on the dew soaked morning grass, and each time it got harder and harder to catch himself. By the time the camp finally came into view he felt ready to drop, vision swimming slightly from lack of water.
He didn’t know how it had happened. They drilled, practiced, planned so this exact thing didn’t happen. It had been a food run, one of the most routine outings. They’d been in broad daylight. Sirius had been right behind him, he’d been making a joke, Remus had wanted to laugh and then…
His mind played the familiar sound of the undead breathing and he flinched. The next thing he remembered was waking up in the dark, and was forced to hide for the night. The dark was not for the living anymore.
He’d been walking for hours, made to feel longer in the heat of the day, hand glued to the gun at his hip, when the camp had finally appeared between trees. He let out a breath that he felt like he’d been holding for the entire night.
He waved his hands in surrender when he heard the familiar sound of a loaded gun being aimed in his direction and a shout from the watch towers.
“It’s me! It’s me..” Remus ran out of breath at the end, practically limping to the now slowly opening metal gates. He could understand their confusion. He was hardly walking like a human being right now. Remus looked up, chest flooding with relief at the sound of his name.
“Fucking hell-“ Sirius was squeezing his way through the doors before they had even opened properly and Remus practically collapsed into his chest. He felt an arm wrap around his waist, holding him up, the other pressing to the back of his neck, feeling heavenly against his clammy skin, “Jesus, Remus. Remus-“
“‘m fine… I’m fine-“ He could hear Sirius taking shaky breaths and Remus fisted the back of his t-shirt, pulling himself closer, “Pads, I’m okay-“
“Fuck.” Sirius pulled back, the hand that was on his neck sliding around to cradle his cheek, thumb tracing over the sticky cut on his temple, “God, I thought you were right behind me. Fuck, Re, I didn’t mean-You have to know I’d- I’d never just leave you out there-“
“Pads, of course I know that. Of course I know that-“
“Then you weren’t there.” Sirius’ breathing was escalating, his eyes wild, “You weren’t- I was holding your hand but…” Sirius shook his head, squeezing his eyes shut and letting his forehead drop to Remus’, “Jesus, Re, I thought you were…“ Sirius’ voice broke, “I thought you were…”
“I’m not. I’m fine, we’re fine.” Remus leaned into the hand stroking his cheek. He was slowly loosing the flood of adrenalin at seeing Sirius again, and he was more tired than before, “‘m not a zombie, however I am severely dehydrated.”
Sirius let out a slightly watery laugh, opening his eyes to see Remus smiling at him, and pressed a long kiss to his forehead, “You can have all the water in the world as long as you never leave this camp again.”
Remus laughed as he was pulled flush against Sirius’ side, “No promises.”
The warmth of Sirius’ body felt warmer than the sun in ever sense of the word, and their feet nearly tripped over each other as they walked into camp, letting the gates shut slowly behind them.
in honor of the walking dead season 3 getting released the other day or so. i will write angsty headcannons ft the voltron crew. and possible reader. Part one will center around Lance because I realized I was writing a lot for him and decided to spilt it into parts.
It’s summer when the outbreak happens. Lance lives in Arizona, he’s seventeen at the time.
Lance was celebrating his youngest sister’s, Elizabeth, sixth birthday when his tio came running into the house, his smoking break cut short. Yelling at everyone to turn on the television. Lance was curious, because his tio was very determined to get a smoke in and wouldn’t cut it short for something stupid. So immediately he had everyone’s attention.
Lance’s mom cut on the tv and changed it to the news channel. The news anchors were talking about a weird disease outbreak that was affecting the recently deceased. They were told to stay indoors for now and lock the doors. The whole family was unsure what to do or think, the party was cut short and everyone went home. No one went past the fence to see what was on the other side. The neighborhood was eerily quiet and that lasted a few more days until Lance’s dad decided it was time to leave.
They were running low on food and he was going to go to the grocery store and visit Lance’s uncle. They waited anxiously for around two hours and then Lance’s dad came running into the house holding his neck, blood seeping through his fingers. They immediately all rushed to him, and his mother was cleaned the wound and trying to calm his dad down.
His dad told them about how the grocery store was completely abandoned along with the roads. It’s like everyone had ran away, it was a ghost town. So he went to his brother’s home and there was blood on the doorsteps, and that immediately caught his attention so be rushed inside to see if his brother was okay. His brother was on the ground hugging his knees, blood all over him. He reached down to help him up and was immediately attacked. His dad was trying to push him off but he was stronger then him. But he bit into his neck. His dad just remembers pushing him off of him and running back into the car.
Lance doesn’t know what to think. He’s shaking a little and his little sister, Elizabeth tugs on his sleeve and asks him what’s happening. He doesn’t even know what to say, and he responded truthfully, that he doesn’t know. His dad and mom go to their room to talk privately about what’s happening.
He doesn’t see them for the rest of the night.
Him and his older sister Gabriel have to make dinner and keep the younger two, Elizabeth and Andre from bothering their parents and keep them quiet. Lance wonders if the oldest out of all of them, Alex is okay.
At one point in the night Lance thinks he hears screaming and something slamming into the ground in the next room. But he blames it on his over reactive imagination.
He awakes to screaming the next morning. He immediately shoots up from the bed and runs into the other room to find his sister on the ground clutching her hand as blood slowly seeps from the wound. She’s sobbing and yells at Lance to run away with the others.
Lance hears her loud and clear but he still makes his way towards the room. Immediately upon entering his mother and father jump on top of Gabriel and she’s screaming. Andre and Elizabeth are sobbing and screaming. Lance yells at them to stay back.
His sister manages to push the two off and she yells at Lance. He tries to rush in but she pushes him back. She tells him to shut the door and leave with the kids immediately. To find their other family members. She slams the door shut.
All he can hear is screaming and the sound of flesh tearing. He slides down the door and brings his knees to his chest and chokes out a sob. His siblings are shaking and run towards him. He has blood on his shirt. He’s shaking and tears are running down his face.
The screaming stops after what seems like forever. He can hear groaning coming from the other side. The three of them stay huddled together sobbing and shaking quietly for an hour after it all happened. Lance can’t let his little brother and sister get hurt.
He stands up slowly and tells them to grab a backpack and pack only what they need. They are before 1pm, before nightfall. They nod and slowly get up to do so.
Lance heads to his room, he cleans the blood off of him and cleans his face. He throws off the bloody shirt, he can’t even look at it. He grabs a backpack and packs a few extra pairs of clothes. Some small items that hold a special meaning to him. Family photos. Essential things. He then goes into the kitchen and packs the remaining food and grabs water bottles. His siblings come into the room bags packed and dressed out of their pajamas.
Lance tells them to sit on the couch for a minute while he does some last things. He grabs a pen and paper and begins writing, “My mother, father, and sister are in this room. Please don’t hurt them.”. He tapes it to the bedroom door and even goes as far as to go out back and grab planks of wood and puts it over the door. To make sure that they don’t break down the door.
He picks up the house phone and he knows that the line went down a few days ago but he just wants to try one more time before they leave. He dials his big brother’s number, of course nothing goes through. He lets out a sigh and grabs the car keys and motions for his siblings to follow.
He tries reassuring his little brother and sister that he will make sure that they are okay and he won’t let anything happen to them. He locks the door and looks at his childhood home one last time. His eyes start watering again but he turns around an heads for the SUV.
He fumbles around for a minute trying to find a map and eventually finds one. He decides to head to the next town over. It would take about an hour to get there. The car ride there is quiet and gloomy. The roads are empty and the sun is already starting to set.
The next town isn’t any better, he does find one person. A middle aged man, who lost everyone the first two days. The man calls the disease infected dead Muertos a simple name but Lance knows what it means. The man’s name is David and he tells them that he’s heading towards the South. It gets cold down there and there’s less people so maybe they didn’t catch the outbreak.
Lance decides that that is where they’ll go. Even if there is a tiny chance that the outbreak didn’t reach down there then he’s willing to take that risk. As long as his siblings will be okay. The man ask if they have a weapon and Lance realizes that he never brought one. He shakes his head slowly and the man kindly offers a 9mm pistol and two boxes of ammo. Lance refuses to take it, the man says that he has a whole bag full of ammo and that he’ll be fine. He tells that he will need it to protect his siblings and himself, the world has already gone to hell and it’s only been two weeks since this all happened. He also points Lance in the direction of a Hunting store that has a lot of weapons and ammo, and says that he should go there before heading out. Lance thanks him and gives a a few cans of food as thanks. They spilt ways and wish each other luck and safety.
Lance keeps Elizabeth and Andre close by his side he holds the gun tightly in his hand. He’s shot a gun before, he lives in the Southwest so of course he knows how to use one. He doesn’t want to use it though and prays that he never has to. They walk down the quiet and abandoned streets towards the hunting supply store. Seems like most of the supplies has been stolen. But he manages to find a few good things. Three hunting knives, he hands one to both his siblings telling them to only use in case of an emergency and when he’s not around. He finds another 9mm pistol hidden under a pile of cardboard and he finds more ammo. He takes whatever food is left and quickly leaves to get back on the road.
The first three months went by well, they encountered only nice people and traded things. They had just entered Texas, which it was slow progress but he didn’t want to rush anything or push the kids too hard. They also encountered a few Muertos but Lance learned that they were slow and the three were able to outrun. Andre turned eleven during those three months and they made the best birthday they could with the situation. Lance was even able to find a action figure that Andre was talking about before this all happened.
Their luck ran out when they encountered two older men. The two men held both of siblings at gun point demanding for Lance to hand over everything and he’d let them live. Lance couldn’t do that, it put the three in a lot danger. They got a few good punches on Lance. But one of them slipped and that was Lance’s opportunity. He didn’t know what came over him but he ran for his gun and shot both of them dead. He was shaking and sobbing, he didn’t want to kill anyone. His siblings were the one comforting him. They left that area immediately.
Another month went by before they met another guy just as they were about to leave Texas. He was around Lance’s age, his name was Hunk. He was kind and asked if he could tag along with Lance. Lance hesitantly agreed to let Hunk tag along, he somehow trusted someone he barely met and so did his siblings. The three of them and Hunk immediately clicked. It was nice having someone else, Hunk was much bigger and stronger then Lance. Hunk was much more mature and observant then Lance. The group headed towards Tennessee.
OH, if you were wondering, no Lance does not remember Keith cradling him in his arms.
This is probably the last panels of this little story board and I hope you liked them. @sabrisun and I will be putting together the rest of the story though and we will probably write and draw stuff as well.
Rated M. See chapter 1 for list of warnings. I do not own Fairy Tail, Hiro Mashima does.
Summary: A deadly disease plagues the world. People are dying, the dead are rising. The infection spreads too fast to stop. Everyone tries their best to survive in this post-apocalyptic world, but things get messy for Natsu when he finds a blonde woman on one of his missions. Natsu takes it upon himself to help her, protect her, and accidentally fall in love with her? Zombie Apocalypse AU. Hurt/comfort, angst, romance.
Natsu gave the girl an uneasy wave, hoping it would calm her down. He was wrong. It only made her flinch hard before pressing herself against the wall to get away from him. Her feet scraped against the concrete floor, causing more blood to coat the ground and the stray nails near her.
“You probably shouldn’t do that,” Natsu warned, wondering if her feet were responsible for her tears. His eyes raked over her form again, this time taking in more details since she hadn’t responded.
He noticed cuts along her neck and shoulders, some fresh, some healed. They blended in with the dark and light bruises adorning her skin. Her body was dirty, as well as her hair. He saw a few twigs threaded in with her grimy, dark blonde locks. It looked like she hadn’t brushed it in weeks.
Shaking in place, he realized she was probably cold. Her clothes barely covered her. She wore a black tank top, rips in multiple places. He knew she wasn’t wearing a bra, seeing a pink nipple peeking out between a large rip over her right breast.
Natsu’s eyes shot back to her feet, not wanting to see anymore of her private parts. It wasn’t his fault there was a rip over that area, exposing her nipple to him, but that didn’t mean he wanted to keep staring.
Natsu noted the short shorts she wore. He assumed they were supposed to be white. They were covered in dirt and mud, a few spots of dingy white peeking out from the filth.
It took him a moment to realize it, but her skin damage didn’t look normal, even for post-outbreak. Her bottom lip was busted, there was dried blood on her arms, shoulders and legs, and she had a nasty bruise on her left eye. It looked exactly like a black eye, which he would recognize considering him and his friend Gray gave them to each other all the time when they fought.
“Are you okay?” Natsu blurted out, causing the girl to flinch hard. He guessed she got used to the silence, startled when he spoke. “Hey, I won’t hurt you. I just wanna help.”
Natsu tried to play the tough guy, but deep down he had a compassionate heart. It was why he wanted to stay instead of empty the house and leave right away. He didn’t know if it was from seeing Max’s dead body or not, but he wanted to save this girl. She didn’t look like she could save herself.
“Will you let me help you?” Natsu took a step forward, only to have her shake her head. “It’s okay… I’m not gonna bite.” He realized that wasn’t the best thing to say. Currently getting bit was the easiest way to die.
The girl slowly pressed one hand to the ground to push herself up. Natsu’s attention went to the cuts on her leg. They shook badly when she stood, and Natsu finally had a good look at her body.
Or what was left of it.
He didn’t realize how skinny she was until now. Her wrists, ankles, neck, shoulders… everything looked too small. He could see her collarbone clearly, and that disturbed him. He wouldn’t be surprised if he could see each rib on her torso.
Natsu thought she was finally coming around, but that idea was trashed when the girl threw a handful of bloody nails at his face before bolting. Natsu barely managed to block the nails from hitting his eyes and mouth with his arm.
“What the hell?!” he yelled, dropping his arm and turning to see her running up the stairs.
au: zombie apocalypse! 5sos take refuge at a local high school. after stopping at a mall for supplies, they find a fragile girl who retreated in a small book store.(based off school-live) *unedited lol
“Do you think it’s gotten far?” Luke questioned, his icy blue eyes scanning over the dead crowd. The students in the yard, all infected by the disease, mindlessly walking back and forth over and over and–
“No.” Calum answered, staring down at the garden with a frown. He never wanted it to be this way, he never wanted to feel as though he was trapped. Cornered by creatures, monsters, in their very own high school, the Maori boy could only think of what could’ve been. What should’ve been.
It was nothing like it was depicted in movies: the sun still shined brightly, no one decided to run
– they fought, and lost, they only continued to lose without a cure. There was nothing that gave them hope
– they just didn’t want to become.. become like them.
Michael glanced at his two friends on the rooftop, sighing as he takes Calum’s shovel over his shoulder and walked back into the safety of the building. There was only a fraction of a smile on his paled face. “Ash?” He called out, craning his head to the right as he looked for his friend.
It was far too quiet in the parking lot. A single, abandoned pickup truck sat in the middle of cracked concrete. The body was starting to rust, weeds sprouting around its deflated tires and orange dust lay on its windows. It had been months and months since it had last been turned on, left in the middle of the parking lot to become part of the scenery.
In the dusty truck bed, Sidney and Jonas sat, their eyes trained not only on the supermarket in front of them but on each and every alleyway and road around them. The houses around them were spaced out and few in number. The roads were wide and filled with pot holes.
They were in the open and not safe. Not yet at least.
Description: It’s literally what the title says, man.
Word count: 1111 (it was actually 1119 but I edited it to get it to 1111)
A/N: That title sucks I’m sorry I can’t think of anything right now. So, I made this post a while ago and I finally wrote it! Sorry it took so long! Also, this doesn’t tie in with the show at all. It’s just the characters plopped in a zombie-esque Riverdale.
Ships: You’ll find out soon enough
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Archie was in the bathroom when it happened. He was washing
his hands when he heard the familiar crackle over the intercom followed by Principal
Weatherbee’s voice, asking all the students to report to the gym.
Archie furrowed his eye brows and slung his bag further up
his shoulder before stepping into the hallway. It was extremely crowded, every
student looking as confused as Archie felt. It wasn’t usual for them to be
called for a school-wide assembly during class hours.
The human torrent of students slowly moved into the gym and
Archie immediately noticed Betty and Veronica standing near the back of the
room. They waved at him as he made his way over to them.
“Do you guys know what’s going on?” Archie asked, leaning
against the wall.
“No, but something’s definitely wrong.” Betty said. “My mom
just sent me this.” She held her phone out and Archie leaned over to read the
Stay where you are.
I’m coming to get you.
Archie frowned. “What do you think is going on?” He asked.
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s some political thing.” Veronica
said. “My mom sent me this.” She mimicked Betty’s actions from before, holding
her phone out.
Ronnie, please be
careful. I’m trying to get to your school but they’re everywhere. Please hang
on, Mija, I’ll be there as soon as I can.
Archie inhaled sharply. “Woah.”
Veronica slipped the phone back into her pocket, biting her
lip. It was obvious she was internally freaking out. Betty slipped an arm
around her shoulder.
Archie pulled his own phone out and his heart began to pound
when he saw that he had five missed calls and two texts from his dad. He
swallowed the lump in his throat before opening them.
Archie, I don’t think
I’m gonna make it, son.
I love you. Be safe.
“Guys, look.” He showedthem the messages and the expression on their faces reflected his worry.
Betty took a deep breath. “Okay, I know it looks like something is really wrong
but we just need to remain calm, okay?” She tried for a smile but it was clear
she was scared too.
Archie looked around at everyone in the gym. They all wore
the same expressions, mirroring what Archie was feeling.
Kevin ran up to them a while later, a frenzied look on his
face. “Guys, something happened!”
But before he could elaborate, there was a massive screech
of the microphone and Weatherbee’s voice boomed out. “Okay, now, settle down,
kids. Settle down. I know you’re all curious but chattering about it isn’t
going to help.”
Jughead walked over to where the rest of them stood, just as
a hush fell over the room.
Principal Weatherbee cleared his throat before he spoke.
“Okay, so, some of you probably got some texts or calls from your parents. I
know you’re all confused or scared but there’s no need to be. You’re safe in
“Excuse me, Principal Weatherbee.” The lilting voice of
Cheryl Blossom interrupted him. “Are you trying to tell us it’s not safe out
“I—that isn’t what I was going to say—“ Principal Weatherbee
looked flustered, which wasn’t something that happened often.
“Well, it doesn’t matter what you were going to say!” It was
Kevin who interrupted him this time. “It isn’t safe out there!”
“Kev, what are you talking about?” Archie asked him as
everyone turned to stare.
“My dad told me what’s going on outside.” Kevin said, walking
over to take the mic out of Weatherbee’s hands as everyone watched with wide
“There was an incident at the Riverdale Central Hospital.”
Kevin began. “They don’t know exactly what happened there yet—but that’s where
Archie was surprised that Weatherbee hadn’t yanked the mic
out of Kevin’s hands and told him to shut up yet. In fact, he seemed just as
intrigued as the rest of them.
He doesn’t know the
whole story either, Archie thought and the realization made him
uncomfortable. If the person in charge
doesn’t know what was going on, how exactly is it safe in here?
“There’s something happening around town.” Kevin was now reading
off of his phone. “The police got reports of aggressive and violent attacks occurring
at and around the hospital late last night—around 3 am—and the officers that
went to check it out didn’t come back. When I—uh, my dad—and a couple of other
officers went to check it out this morning, they found something that could
only be described as gory. There were barely any people at the hospital. The
only things left were…” Kevin’s voice wavered. “Blood and corpses.”
There were more than a few gasps at that, including
Blood and corpses?
What is this, a horror movie?
“And then they came. A group of eight, four patients, two
doctors and two policemen. The ones that went to investigate last night. There
was something not quite right about them. It’s hard to describe. They were, in
short, zombies.” As soon as Kevin uttered those words, there was a shout of
“C’mon, man! Stop messing with us!” Some kid yelled but his
joking tone seemed to be covering a layer of fear.
“I’m not messing
with you.” Kevin snapped and held up his phone. “That’s what my dad told me.”
“And what? Your dad just had the time to fire out a huge,
extremely detailed text when he was running from zombies?” A girl yelled. There were murmurs of agreement in the
“Look, I’m just telling you what I know, okay? And the
reason my dad texted me everything is because…” Kevin paused, swallowed. “He
got bit. And we’ve all seen enough zombie movies to know what comes next.”
The silence filled the room again as Kevin shut his eyes and
turned his head down. Archie could see his shoulder shaking, his hand
tightening around his phone. After a few moments, Kevin seemed to compose
himself. When he looked up again, Archie saw an intensity in his eyes he’d
never seen before.
“I don’t know what happened to my dad. But I do know that he
thought he was going to die. And he told me what was going on to help me
survive whatever the hell is going on. So, that’s what I’m going to do. There’s
not much else we can do.” He said.
“Kevin…” Jughead started. “If there were only eight people in
the hospital, does that mean…?”
Kevin gave a grim nod. “They’re outside.”
A/N: PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THOUGHT ABOUT IT!! You can tell me in the replies or in asks or pm me or anything! Also nag me to update pls I’m a chronic procrastinator. Thanks for reading!~
