Vegan Chocolate Doughnuts
Makes 6 doughnuts

½ cup whole wheat all-purpose flour
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tbsp. coconut sugar
1 tbsp. cane sugar
¼ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp. vegan margarine, melted
½ banana, mashed
¼ cup + 2 tbsp. unsweetened coconut yogurt

Chocolate Glaze

¾ cup vegan confectioners’ sugar
1 tbsp. non-dairy milk
½ tsp. pure vanilla extract
Vegan sugar sprinkles

To make the doughnuts: Preheat oven to 350F (180oC). Grease a donut pan with vegan margarine.

Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugars, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix together banana, melted margarine and coconut yogurt.

Add wet ingredients into the dry and gently mix to a smooth batter.

Add batter to a piping bag or Ziploc bag. Cut a corner off to pipe into donut pan wells. Fill them about 2/3 full.

Bake donuts for 10-12 minutes or until they are firm and spring back when you touch them. Pop them out of the donut pan and onto a cooling rack to cool until warm to the touch.

To make the glaze: Sift the confectioner’s sugar. Whisk in the non-dairy milk and vanilla until the glaze is smooth. Dip the top of each donut in the glaze and top with sprinkles. Serve at room temperature. Doughnuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

When you can’t decide if you want a cupcake or a donut. 🐥
You have both.
Matcha green tea donut cupcakes.
These babies are stuffed with a sweet matcha cream cheese. Mm. Who wants one?

Mini Baked Vegan Donuts
Makes about 16 mini donuts

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ tsp. baking soda
6 tbsp. vegan sugar
Pinch of salt
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup vegan margarine, melted
3 tbsp. aquafaba
½ tbsp. pure vanilla extract

Matcha Icing

1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 tbsp. vegan margarine, melted
1 tbsp. unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp. matcha powder

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a donut pan.

Combine dry ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until just combined. Transfer mix to a Ziploc bag and cut a tip off one of the corners and pipe into the donut pan. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until they are firm and spring back when you touch them. Pop them out of the donut pan and onto a cooling rack to cool until warm to the touch.

Combine the icing ingredients in a bowl and mix until creamy. Dip each mini donut into icing and place on cooling rack to allow icing to set in.

Matcha Green Tea Cupcakes
Makes 1 dozen

For the cupcakes
1½ cups all-purpose unbleached flour
1 cup vegan sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. matcha green tea powder
½ tsp. salt
1 cup water
½ cup canola oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

For the frosting
¼ cup vegan margarine
¼ cup non-hydrogenated shortening
2 cups powdered sugar
1 ½ tbsp. non-dairy milk
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1-2 tsp. matcha powder

For cream cheese filling
½ cup vegan cream cheese
1 tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tsp. matcha powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake papers.

Combine dry ingredients (except sugar) in a medium sized mixing bowl. In a separate bowl combine sugar, oil and vanilla and mix until combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet in two separate batches and mix until just combined (do not over mix). Finally, add the ACV and mix until just combined. Divide batter evenly among muffin pan and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow cupcakes to cool before transferring to a cooling rack. Once cooled, remove a piece of the center of each cupcake using an apple corer or a cupcake corer. Set aside.

With a hand mixer beat butter and shortening on high for 1 minute or until fluffy. Next, add powdered sugar and beat for a minute or until crumbly. Then, add non-dairy milk and vanilla and beat until frosting is light and fluffy. Add 1-2 teaspoons of matcha powder so that you get a light green frosting. Add frosting to a Ziplock or piping bag with tip or you can use a butter knife to frost the cupcakes.

Using a hand mixer beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar and matcha powder until creamy. Transfer mix to a Ziploc bag and cut a tip off one of the corners and pipe into the center of the cupcake. Top with matcha frosting and a mini vegan donut.

I’m posting a bunch of stuff I ordered or was gifted for my birthday (December 7th)! I’ve been a few days late posting about all this stuff because…well I got so much q.q…This is part 3 of..I have no idea x.x

My monthly Splatoon package came in on my birthday (from AmiAmi) as well! I’m only 3 stickers away from completing the Hard Soda Candy sticker set o.o. I never thought it would be possible…but here we are!! So close! Everything else was amazing as usual. The bin has already been incredibly useful as well…it’s holding tons of ziploc bags full of transformers xD!

The only thing I’m disappointed in is the Wafer sticker set…I don’t know how this happened, but I got two sets of stickers…from 2 separate boxes…each containing the exact same cards!!! So I’m missing 4 stickers..I’m going to be ordering another box this month to hopefully fix that q.q

The final time an SR-71 Blackbird ever flew was over an Edwards Air Force Base open house on October 9, 1999. Its familiar sonic booms and thunderous roar would no longer tear through the Antelope Valley. Though, on the night of September 12, 2002, a single J58 engine would once more light up the High Desert with its bright afterburner plume. The engine that powered the Blackbird through four decades high speed, high altitude flight had its final firing that summer night, attached to a test stand at the edge of Rogers Dry Lake. Pratt & Whitney staff disposed of Edwards’ stockpile of the specialized JP7 fuel by running the engine in afterburner for hours. Some bystanders shed tears during this final firing. Some filled ziploc bags with the fuel, then tossed them by hand into the plume, watching them ignite and sparkle as they disturbed the sonic flow.

Following this last hurrah, many J58 engines remain on display in museums. The photos above show examples of these at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, and Pima Air Museum in Tucson, Arizona.

Head Over Feet - Ch 3, “Courtship by Kitten”

“You like me,” I whisper, really and truly processing this for the first time, and Peeta pulls me to him in a powerful hug. He’s warm and solid and wonderful, and I can’t help melting a little against his chest.

“Yes, Chicken Little,” he chuckles, nuzzling his cheek against my hair. “I like you. A lot. So very much. Maybe we should just stick to that for awhile,” he suggests. “I’m a little afraid you’ll run for the hills if the rest starts sinking in.”

He draws back and brushes my cheek with the hand not full of Ziploc bags. “Why don’t you go back out with your sister, little bird?” he offers tenderly. “I’ll finish up in here and –”

“Because,” I answer with all the authority of an imperious infanta, “if I go back out there I’ll have to talk to Prim about this, and I don’t even understand what’s going on. And she’s going to ask a million questions –”

“Would you rather I answer those?” he wonders, playfully waggling his brows. “Because if I do, I make no guarantee that words like adore, in love, and want her to be my girlfriend won’t make appearances.”

I seethe at him but I know he’s right. Ever since he kissed me last night, he hasn’t been able to stop saying the most ridiculously sweet things to me, and Prim would gobble up every last morsel like a greedy piranha. At least if I talk to her first I can buffer things a bit, like I did last night with the chickens and the bismark.

“Okay,” I grumble, and he grins.

“I’ll make all of this up to you,” he says, giving my hand a reassuring squeeze. “Oh Katniss, you have no idea how much I’m looking forward to making things up to you.”

For some reason this makes me blush furiously, and in a fashion that makes no promise of fading anytime soon.

OMG lol

hello there! here are a few tips to help keep your backpack nice and tidy!

don’t just shove things in randomly.

put things in your backpack carefully. i like to tuck my papers and handouts in a folder to prevent them from crumpling up and tearing. you could also put your papers in a binder or an accordion file. don’t just throw things in your backpack and shove it all down. you’ll keep your items safe and in good condition while keeping your backpack tidy! it’s a win-win :)

keep loose things together

i keep my pens and pencils and things in a pencil case, things like pads and bandaids in a pouch, and money / loose change in a wallet. this way, loose things won’t be rolling around in your backpack to get crushed / lost. you could use plastic ziploc bags to keep things together too!

use hair ties / rubber bands / twist ties to keep cords together

this way, your chargers and headphones and whatever else won’t get all tangled up! they’ll also be easier to take out of your backpack.

clean out your backpack every week

sometimes, you’ll just inevitably accumulate small trash inside your backpack. don’t wait until trash piles up. it’s much easier to clean a small bit of trash every week rather than cleaning out a whole bunch of trashy bits in one go. i personally like to throw out bits of trash i find when i pack my bag at night :)

pack your bag at night.

you’ll have a lower chance of forgetting things, and you’ll be in less of a rush in the morning. also, you’ll have the time to put things in neatly without any cramming or shoving.

don’t overload your backpack

try not to push your backpack over its maximum capacity. your zippers may break and your backpack might rip, and that’s never a good thing ;;

wash your backpack every now and then

just use some lukewarm water, a damp cloth, and a mild detergent. loosen up some of the dirt and streaks with a soft-bristle brush or an old toothbrush, and then wipe down both the interior and exterior with the water + detergent + cloth. some backpacks are good to go in the washer while others are better off hand-washed. let it dry in the sun.

hope this helped and good luck! if you’d like to request a post, go here and if you’d like to see more helpful posts, go here!! thanks :)

Canada ended up taking nearly all of the kitchen knives despite Russia and England reminding him that weapons wouldn’t do them any good. “I would take America’s guns, if he had them here,” he complained, looping a bright blue ceramic knife and its cover onto his belt. When England looked like he was going to complain to him again, Canada turned around, brow furrowed in anger. “Until you can prove whatever this is doesn’t bleed, I’m taking a weapon.”

“It is not bad to be prepared,” Russia said as England sighed, handing over Ziploc bags full of salt to each of them.

“This will do more damage,” England said, eyes darting around the kitchen, looking for more things to arm themselves. “If you have silver, that’d be best to wear.”

“I don’t know about silver, but I know there’s iron around here,” Canada muttered and pulled out a cast iron pan from a lower cabinet. He fished around a cutlery drawer and pulled out a spoon and pie server. “These are silver, at least.”

“Great,” England said eyeing the items. “You can make it a great omelet,”

Wine Wednesday: “In the winter, I always make tons of this pasta and freeze it in quart-size Ziploc bags for quick meals,” says star chef Andrew Zimmern. The pork lends fattiness, the wine gives a balanced acidity and the pancetta delivers all the wholesome saltiness you could ever want from an ingredient.
