zhena's-gypsy-tea

Hello! We’ll start this blog off with a Zhena’s Gypsy Tea. This is the Chocolate Chai that I got in a sample tin from my best friend for Christmas. First things first, I love Chai, one of my favorite flavor blends, and this was no exception. This is a caffeine free red tea but to me it tasted more like a black. I add milk and honey with some of my teas and in my opinion this was the perfect way to drink this.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates in two weeks, I’ve been super-busy with business developments related to Purple Lantern Studio holiday craft fairs as well as Purple Lantern Parties, my new Art and themed party business for kids.

However! Thanksgiving is here, and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate being thankful for my followers new and old then posting a new piece!

This illustration of Norah from my developing comic ‘Starseed and Bellows’ is inspired by the book Life by the Cup, a autobiography about Zhena of Zhena’s Gypsy Tea Company. Along with anecdotes about her life, she has positive lessons to apply to our own lives. One of them is called 'pluck the positive’. Just as tea growers only pluck the first two leaves and bud with the same motion for each, it is beneficial to pluck the finest, most positive thoughts from our minds.

Drink some tea, think of three things you are thankful for, but today, you get to do it with tons of turkey and sides! Happy Thanksgiving <3

Chamomile Tea: Good For Digestion, Weight Loss, and Even Your Hair

Zhena’s Gypsy Tea founder Zhena Muzyka has come a long way since she was selling her specially crafted sachets out of a street cart just ten years ago. An herbalist and certified aromatherapist, the entrepreneur’s numerous blends are equal parts science and art—and they are useful in ways outside just your cup.

I sat down with the tea guru to discuss my favorite springtime flavor, Chamomile, and to learn more about why I enjoy it so much beyond its delicious taste. Little did I know that Muzyka has gone to great lengths to make hers particularly good for digestion, bloating, and even hair. Click through to find out what she adds to make her blend extra special.

In my April box there was a sample Zoya vegan friendly natural nail polish in Dove, Zhena’s Gypsy Italian Chamomile tea, Sukiface lemongrass extract+natural sugar exfoliate foaming cleanser, LIV GRN eau de parfum in Natural & Weleda Wild Rose smoothing facial lotion. I am sooooo pleased with my 1st Birchbox & can’t wait to see what I’ll be getting next month! {o^_^o}V

So I got this tea for myself for Christmas and decided to try it out. It’s extremely light. Just one of the tea sachets, as they are called since they are flat and disk-like, was not enough to get any of the flavor out. So I added two more, and a little bit of sugar and it was pretty good. It has a very subtle chocolate flavor. Not my favorite tea, but not bad~
