So I had an HSM marathon yesterday

i swear to God we spent three movies just looking for moments between these two couples. We legitimately paused the movie during hsm 3 for all of the chyan touches.

Zeke Baylor

How I feel about this character- It varies. Sometimes, I think Zeke is a goofy sweetheart who tends to be friendly toward everyone, and the person who tries to act as a peaceful mediator between Troy and Chad. Other times, he comes off as either a passive enabler who allows Chad to verbally assault Troy when Troy’s personal goals differ from the rest of the team’s, or as the friend who takes Chad’s side over Troy’s in every single argument, ultimately leaving Troy to fend for himself against the entire basketball team. Which, isn’t cool. I definitely don’t dislike Zeke with the burning intensity that I do Gabriella, but there are many instances where his actions rub me the wrong way.

All the people I ship romantically with this character- Sharpay Evans

and Chad Danforth.

My non-romantic OTP for this character- Zeke and Jason.

My unpopular opinion about this character- I don’t believe that I have one.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon- That we would have gotten to see more of him interacting with Sharpay and the development of their relationship, instead of most of it occurring offscreen.

Thank you for asking! :D

Anonymous asked you: Zekepay, kelpay or peypay??? ——-

Isn’t that the million dollar question, Anon. Choosing one definitive pairing for Sharpay isn’t easy for me, because, for some mystifying reason, her character has immense potential in romantic dynamics with everyone in the student cast aside from Ryan (her GAY twin brother whose entire character arc revolves around him escaping Sharpay’s shadow and finding his own path separate from hers) and Troy (the boy whom she stalked, manipulated, black-mailed, sexually harassed, guilt-tripped, and views as nothing more than a prize to be won, and who is petrified of her and infinitely more attracted to her brother). And, maybe Donny, since they’ve never interacted and that kid didn’t have enough screen time for his personality to be discernible. Heck, this behind the scenes picture got me shipping Sharpay/Jason for a second, or two.

Anyway, if you’ll allow me, I’m going to do a quick overview of the three potential suitors and their history with Ms. Evans.

For the sake of my poor followers who don’t fancy scrolling past a novel on their dashboards, I’m going to place my response behind a cut.
