Five minutes into this movie, I was totally in love with it and texting my friend telling her she absolutely had to see it. I didn’t have to wait until I saw more of it to know that I was going to love this and tell everyone to see it.

Date and Switch is one of the best comedies I have seen in ages. I can’t even remember the last time I found a film this genuinely funny. After seeing it I looked the writer up and it turns out he wrote 12 episodes of Parks and Rec, so no surprise there. I hope he writes more films because I was dying laughing through so much of this movie.

This film is Superbad-like except one of the two best guy friends comes out as gay at the beginning. It’s also less juvenile than that film and quite profound at times. The message is imporant. It’s a wonderful story about friendship, while also being one of the most hilarious movies that’s come out in a long time. I found it so realistically funny and all the actors were completely natural. I felt like I was there with them a lot of the time. I’m like, I have friends like this. I know these guys.

I can’t believe this movie isn’t blowing up and becoming an instant classic. If it was Seth Rogen and his buddies doing it, this would be massive. Unfortunately, they haven’t made a movie this good in awhile. No one has! I feel like most comedies go too over the top these days and this one was right on the money.

One of the best things about it is that it’s not a gay movie, it’s not a teen movie, it’s not a romantic comedy… it doesn’t fit into any stupid stereotypical box. It’s just a good fucking movie and I loved it. I urge you to watch it, really, I can’t recommend it enough.
