The faces Hiei and Kurama make while Toguro is selecting which of Yusuke’s friends to kill.
They’re practically daring him to pick one of them.
Another thing I love about this scene is when Toguro eventually settles on Kuwabara, both Hiei and Kurama are ready to protect him even if it costs them their lives. Lets not forget, Hiei spends most of his interactions with Kuwabara acting as if he hates him. But it’s the little things like this that prove it’s far from the truth. And then there’s Kurama, who as the Youko was a selfish and cruel man. Now he’s willing to die for a friend. The character development is amazing.
