so happy to be vegan at home for under 50 dollars a week (and averaging at 40). I get plenty of nutrients everyday while being a lifter, runner, and yogi. I’ve never felt better, mentally and physically. And all my food is ten times more yummy than it ever used to be.
This fisherman hauling in his catch at sunrise is a perfect example of how little some aspects of Greek island life has changed over the centuries. Fish and seafood are important parts of traditional Greek cuisine, and it doesn’t get much better than eating fish freshly caught by hand on the same day.
Fresh from our garden: organic raspberries. If you’d like to grow your
own, consider the dwarf variety called ‘BrazelBerries Raspberry
Shortcake.’ We’ve had great success with it, as you can see from my son’s
photo. We grow ours in a raised bed (it can also be grown in a
container). Though the plant is relatively compact, the berries are big
and tasty. Best of all, the bush is thornless. That makes picking the
berries so much easier, right?
