My Czechnology is now Yugoslavshit as well! Yugoslavia made licensed copies of the vz. 61 but replaced the traditional wood grip with a black synthetic one. Since I will never get my hands on a Yugo Skorpion, I’m going to count this as being the closest thing.
Since I never shut up about Marschalgrips.com, here’s a shot of the grips I have from them so far. Left to right is Yugo M57 Tokarev, Yugo M88 Tokarev (compact), and standard capacity Makarov. All made of walnut with a red shellac finish and hand stipling. I really can’t recommend these guys enough.
So Brass Fetcher has test stats for the custom JHP’s I use in the M57 for self defense. ~1,551 f/s velocity, just shy of .2" of expansion, and 13.9" of expansion. Not bad considering the surplus Yugo FMJs don’t expand and penetrate right around 39-40".
