your wife is calling

You work for a powerful mob boss, and you know for a fact that whenever he whacks someone he sends anonymous flowers to the victim’s family. One day, you get a call from your wife thanking you for the beautiful flowers. Before you can tell her you didn’t send any, there’s a knock at the door.

Sunday Morning

Bucky used to love Sunday mornings. They were meant for sleeping in, for curling against the soft, tender body that slept next to him.

They’d had five years of Sunday mornings, of her soft sighs in his ear as she stirred from her sleep, bright green eyes blinking sleepily up at him as he kissed her plush, pink lips. Five years of Sunday mornings, of making coffee in a pair of boxers; of her arms wrapping around him from behind, a soft cheek against his bare back. Five years of Sunday mornings, of sitting at the breakfast bar in their pajamas, her thumb wiping jelly off the corners of his mouth.

Five years of Sunday mornings, wasted.

My dear lgbt+ kids,

If someone proudly puts “homophobe” in their blog description or URL, you know that they are.. what’s the kindest word to choose here… assholes.

If I see a negative comment on my posts or a angry message by someone who made the conscious decision to put “homophobic and proud of it” or similar things in their blog description, it’s obvious I do not need to care about whatever they have to say - they already proved that they are not only ignorant but willingly, purposefully want to disrespect, scare and hurt people like me.

The word “homophobe” is connected to violence. It’s not a cute thing to call yourself. Even if the person is likely just a 13-year-old with too much free time who wants to be edgy, the connection is there. And that’s why it’ll never be funny or cute or “harmless tumblr discourse” to describe yourself as ”homophobic and proud of it”.

If you call yourself homophobic on your blog, I have no way to know if you are a “I ship my favorite character in a hetero relationship and am upset that other people say he is gay” homophobe or a “I will assault you if I see you holding hands with your wife in public” homophobe.

The same applies 100% to anyone who calls themselves “aphobic and proud” or “transphobic and proud” or “biphobic and proud”. Their hate is not suddenly any more acceptable because it’s directed at a less widely-known identity.

Yes, this includes gay people who call themselves aphobic. As an adult in a gay relationship, I’m appalled to see young gay people throw around words that have negative, violent connotations. Our community can do better than that.

It’s hard to end this letter on a sweet, positive note but I do want to tell you that if seeing blogs who say such things hurts you, you’re not alone. If they scare you, you are not alone. You’re not being silly or taking it too serious or overreacting.

Please know that I’ll never stand with those people. My blog will always be a safe space for all people in the lgbt+ community. Exclusion is an alien concept here. I say “lgbt+” for a reason.

With all my love,

Your Tumblr Mom

Call your electric company each month around the time they read your meter, and submit your own meter reading.

Many people aren’t aware of this, but most electric companies have a feature when you call to enter your meter reading yourself.  My wife and I had noticed that during the months of December, January, and February (we have gas heat and live in Indiana where it gets pretty cold during the winter months, so we did NOT run our AC during those months,) our bill was much higher than what we had anticipated.  So, during the month of March, we decided to keep track of our meter for a full 30 days.   During that time, we only used about half the amount of electricity that our electric company claimed we had used during the preceding three months.

That was when we learned we could enter our own meter reading by calling the customer service number of our electric company (Duke Energy for us,) and that, apparently, sometimes electric companies don’t actually read your meters, they just estimate your bill based on previous months usage.  At the end of March, April, and now May, we have been entering our own meter reading, and have proceeded to see a drop of nearly 33% to our electric bill compared to the months we had not entered our reading.  It makes it even more surprising that during the months we’ve been entering our own reading, we have been using our air more and more and have still continued to see a lower bill.  So, if you feel like your bill is higher than it should be, perhaps consider checking your own meter reading and comparing it to what your electric bill says. If you notice any discrepancies or feel like something is off, check with your electric company and see if they offer the ability to enter your own reading manually.

Tl;Dr: If your electric bill seems higher than it should be, consider submitting your usage from your meter to your electric company manually.

I recommend rereading part 4 before starting this chapter!!!

You wake up on a Sunday morning with a sigh. Now you perfectly understand the meaning of that one saying. As if you’re a schoolgirl and it’s finally the last day of your holidays. But in your case you haven’t missed what’s to come even for a bit.

But this time, you decide not to sulk and make the most of the day which will probably be the last one you’ll ever spend with your complete family. Negative thoughts try to find their way into your mind but this time you do your best to keep them out and just enjoy last Sunday you’ll spend happily.

You won’t ruin it.

You quickly get out of the bed. this time you don’t wake up next to your almost ex-husband which is quite a disappointment, but then you sneak a look inside Tae’s room and see him hugged by his father in sleep. And it’s quite enough for you. You can share Jongin with your son even if you’re very selfish.

You don’t lose time swooning over the perfect picture and step inside the bathroom to get ready for the day. After washing up and putting on a comfortable sundress, you head to the kitchen. You plan to make this day perfect for everyone and in your family’s case that means food.

Although you like the thought of healthy diet, the thought of Jongin and Tae’s happiness when they see fried chicken for breakfast is enough persuasion you need.

Time goes quickly while you do everything to make sure that the “breakfast” table is flawless. And just when you’re about to put the last plate on it, you hear footsteps and soon both of your favorite boys step inside the kitchen. You don’t know who’s more excited when seeing what they’re about to eat.

“You’re just in time for breakfast.” You say with a big smile, even though it’s already half past two in the afternoon, it’s normal with Jongin and Tae who goes after his father in everything.

“The smell woke us up.” Jongin can’t take his eyes off the table. “This smells so good, how could we have slept more.” He laughs and sits next to Tae. They’ve both already started devouring the food.

“Wow this is really good.” Jongin comments. “I haven’t tasted anything better for a while, where did you order this?” he asks while handing Tae the neck of chicken. “Start with this.” He adds.

“I made this actually.” You say quietly. Jongin stops and widens his eyes while chewing slowly. “Mommy is the best cook ever, isn’t she?” Tae says with a full mouth. You laugh and wipe his lips.

“Yeah, she is.” Jongin says quietly and you feel your cheeks redden. It’s like you’re returned to high school phase, or just the start of your friendship with Jongin. Not as if you’ve spend years next to him.

Almost an hour passes when the three of you are finally finished with the food. Tae tries to keep up with his dad whose tummy seems to have a hole and is never satisfied. But when the plates are finally empty Jongin suggests watching television so the three of you move to the living room and get comfortable on the couch.

And that’s how the last day (as you hate to call it) is spent. Nothing is special but amazing at the same time. The only time either of you move is to get to the bathroom or get the next fill of snacks. You’re watching cartoons and the Disney movies even Jongin enjoys singing along to.

When the sun is set, Tae runs to his room to get his favorite blanket and returns jumping in his father’s lap. He covers both of them with it and grabs your arm to bring you closer. You’re hesitant at first – you don’t want to make Jongin uncomfortable, but then you see them all cuddly and warm and there’s nothing that can hold you back from joining.

You move closer slowly also getting under the blanket but keeping some distance from your husband but you’re surprised, that when your neck is getting too uncomfortable for it to be laying naturally, Jongin is the one to pull his arm around you and let it rest against his shoulder, right in the position where you can also reach to kiss Tae’s head. You didn’t expect it. Definitely didn’t but for the first time in a month you feel that you’re warm again and you hadn’t even realized how frozen your body had become, deprived of his warmth.

There’s something different about him. Always has been. Just like no heating system can warm you up as well as a walk under the sun can, Jongin’s arms are the same. He’s your personal sun, your only natural way to life.

You can’t even imagine how much you crave for it.

After a while you realize that Tae has fallen asleep on his father’s chest. But you can’t blame him. Jongin is just so warm and so comfortable all you want to do is to finally get the good night’s sleep peacefully for once. But the other part forces you to stay awake to remember every single second of the time you finally felt so, so happy.

In that moment you clearly realize one thing.

He’s here. With a woman who will soon become his ex-wife. And there’s one logical question jumping in your mind.

“Jongin?” you call out, quietly enough not to wake up your son.

“Yes?” he answers, so softly that you never want that sound to leave your ears.

“How does she feel about you being here?” you drop the question, you’re truly curious about. But nothing could surprise you more than what Jongin says next.

“Who?” he asks.

You don’t know if you’re imagining it, or that you’re already stepped into your nightly dream, but you think his fingers are slowly caressing your arm. He truly seems to not recognize who you’re talking about.

“Fei.” You answer with a single word. That name won’t ever leave your memory.

You look up at Jongin secretly and see momentary confusion dwell in his eyes.

“Oh, her.” He adds and stays quiet for a moment. “Well I don’t think she likes that I’m here. She told me not to come.” He says quietly.

Of course she doesn’t. As negatively as you might be inclined towards that girl you understand that she wouldn’t want Jongin to stay over here. But you can’t sympathize when she’s the one going after a still-to-be-divorced man.

Soon after another thought occupies your mind. You know it’s childish to compare how Jongin treats Fei to how he treated you, but she told him not to come and here he is, in your living room. Not once would Jongin ever make you uncomfortable with his decisions when he lived with you. In the good old times he wouldn’t have left you alone like he did with Fei.

You’re absolutely sure of that and that thought makes you even warmer inside. Curling deeper into Jongin’s chest you have no negative thoughts raiding your mind.

On a Monday morning Jongin wakes up just on time without the need of an alarm clock. Slowly dressing in his formal attire he proceeds to the bathroom and kisses the head of his son who’s diligently brushing his teeth. Next he walks inside the kitchen and sees her.

She turns around to look at him and doesn’t even try to form a smile. Jongin can see how the light that was so bright inside her eyes yesterday is now completely gone. Breakfast goes in a quiet matter, so unusual to this happy household. Jongin offers to take Tae to Kindergarten and soon sees his son jumping inside his backseat. Moving like a robot she walks over and fixes his tie, he doesn’t even notice it was crooked. Well she was always better at handling it anyway.

Turning around she slides a sheet of paper in front of him, Jongin looks closely and sees lots of too professional words he hates so much.

“I signed it.” she says quietly. “Like I promised. You’re free.” That’s it. just a little doodle of Jongin’s signature is needed and everything will be over. Isn’t it what he wanted? Without a word he slides the papers inside his laptop bag and walk to the door.

Similar to the times before she walks him to the door and just like it used to be usual, he kisses her forehead and says “Bye”. But this time it doesn’t feel like usual at all.

The day goes as usual for you. Just like it’s been this past month. You go to work, use your lunch period to pick up Tae and chew on a small bun to get you through the day. You make sure Tae doesn’t mess around and does his homework, then you take his hand and go back to the journey back home. You unlock the house, take off your coat, wash Tae’s hands and heat up the dinner you cooked the previous day. As if everything is the same but at the same time nothing is.

Even if usually you always manage to put a smile on your face just for the sake of your son, today you can’t. Today you can’t force yourself anything. You don’t have enough energy. And you know Tae feels it. Not just your feelings but you can see the same mood from him. Your son hasn’t smiled all day and you hate it. You hate it more than anything.

You know what changed. The hope is gone. Even if you spent the month alone you hoped, you wished Jongin would wake up and just come back, for you the bright future of your family wasn’t torn. You still hoped, deep down in your heart. Now you know it’s over. You lost. You lost him.

You finally manage to set the table managing not to break down seeing the number of plates. You will stay strong for your child. He deserves to have you properly functioning. Tae comes from his room slowly and sits down by your low table.

“Eat well, Tae.” You smile warmly and reach to kiss his head. He smiles too. And how can a five year old’s smile even be so full of sadness.

You’re just about to eat when you hear the lock of your front door open. You don’t know what to think. Your motherly instincts are reaching for Tae in case of a burglary. Why would a burglar step inside your house so calmly, it’s irrational you know, but you can’t give yourself any false hope that maybe what you think is happening, is actually happening.

You’re only looking at Tae, afraid to look straight at the entrance and you see your son’s face change. From curiosity to confusion and finally a shy and timid smile forms on his face.

“Daddy.” He calls.

You finally look forward.

“Started dinner without me?”

Jongin is standing with his suitcase, dressed warmly in a winter coat, his shoes are already neatly arranged in their proper place. There’s a small pout on is face for emphasis.

He looks godly.

He looks like home.

Tae looks lost, but you’re sure you’re even more confused. But your son fixes himself in a second and runs to hug his dad, like he would every day. Your son can control himself very well, but you’re sure Jongin can also see just how happy he is to see his dad, home.

You don’t let down your guard yet.

You stay frozen at your seat.

“Ahh, today was such a tiring day at work, I can’t even stand on my feet.” Jongin yawns and takes off his coat. “I’ll go wash my hands. Y/N can you please check my bag? There’s so much trash in there from work, could to throw it out? Or I’ll forget and it’ll stay there for days…” he continues talking down the hallway, his voice slowly disappearing.

I have to add a plate you think, but first, you walk over and pick up Jongin’s suitcase, opening the zip. You see paper, torn to little pieces. Torn so fiercely you wouldn’t have recognized it hadn’t you put it here in the morning.

It’s the divorce papers.

And even though they’re destroyed, you can clearly see, there’s not a trace of Jongin’s signature.

“Mr. Styles this is Mrs. Thatcher from your daughter’s daycare. How are you doing this afternoon?” You looked over at Harry as he put the call on speaker in the car. You knew by Harry’s face that he wasn’t expecting this call at all.

“Hi Mrs. Thatcher, is everything okay?” You knew by his tone that he was about to panic, and the fact he ignored her question about how he was doing was an obvious sign he was distraught.

“Yes your daughter is perfectly fine!” Her words instantly made Harry relax as he turned down the street your house was on. “But there have been a few incidents we thought you should be aware of.” You gave Harry a shrug when he turned and looked at you as if you knew what she was talking about.

“Uhm what incidents? Her teacher hasn’t told us about anything.” His tone was full of confusion because he was right, Delilah’s teacher hadn’t given the two of you the slightest notion that she had been doing anything wrong in class.

“Well Mr. Styles this is actually why I called you instead of your wife.” He rolled his eyes as you gave him a playful smirk as you reached for your water bottle in the cup holder. “It has to do with one of your songs.” You nearly choked on your water causing it to spill all down your shirt when her words hit your ears while Harry had to hide his laughter as he rolled the car into your driveway. You rolled your eyes as he wiggled his eyebrows at you when he saw water drip down your shirt and onto your shorts.

“One of my songs?” He asked as he put the car in park and looked around for some napkins to help you dry yourself off.

“Yes, she has been going around saying lyrics from one of your songs to her classmates.” The woman’s voice brought his focus back to the conversation instead of him digging in the glovebox for napkins. Harry snapped his head towards the entertainment center where he could see the name of the his daughter’s school on the screen.

“What song?” He looked at you with a confused look as you just gave him a shrug. You tried to remember what song off his album was her favorite at the moment and how that could in anyway get her in trouble. Harry gave you a weird look as your eyes went wide with the realization of the song she was probably going around singing.

“It’s called Kiwi?” It came out more like a question as if Mrs. Thatcher wasn’t sure if that really was the songs title or not. You had to cover your mouth with you hand as you tried to fight back the laugh. Harry’s cheeks went red as he pictured his five year old daughter running around screaming the lyrics to one of his more racy songs around a classroom full of little kids. “She keeps telling her classmates that they are going home to a cactus?” Harry had to hold back his laughter.

“Ah uhm yeah, that’s a line from the song.” His voice was apologetic and you just reached over and gave his thigh a pat.

“Also she’s been screaming the phrase it’s none of my business, she’s just showing a lot of aggression and we are a bit concerned where all this is coming from.” You gave Harry’s thigh a squeeze as you watched his ears turn red from embarrassment. He was twisting his hands together something that you knew he only did when he was nervous.

“Well it’s a bit of a rock n roll type song so she is just saying it in the tone that I sing it in. I am terribly sorry she is repeating lyrics from that song.” He gave you a small smile as he rubbed the top of your hand that was on his leg. “Her mother and I will have a talk with her when she gets home from school today.” He added and you gave him an approving nod.

“Thank you for your time Mr. Styles, I am sure this is just a phase. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon.” With that Harry said a quick goodbye before ending the call. He turned his body so he was facing you and that’s when you finally let out all the laughter you were holding inside while he was on the phone.

“What are we gonna do with that daughter of ours?” He asked between fits of laughter, you just leaned over and gave his cheek a quick peck.

A few hours later you were entering the house with your five year old slowly walking behind you with her head hanging low. You had told her on the drive home that you were going to talk with her before dinner and she instantly started apologizing for things she thought were the reason you needed to have a talk with her.

“Hi my little love.” Harry’s voice was soft and sweet as you helped Delilah take off her backpack and hang it by the front door. She instantly perked up as she heard his voice coming from the kitchen. “Come help me with dinner yeah?” His head popped out from the doorway of the kitchen and he gave you a wink as Delilah took off towards him.

“Have a good day at school?” You asked her as you made your way into the kitchen to see what the two of them were up too. You smiled as you saw Harry standing in front of the stove while Delilah was standing beside him on her step stool handing him potatoes to drop into the boiling water.

“It was okay, my teacher gave me a star for using my manners at lunch time!” Her tiny voice was full of pride as she turned her head and gave you a big smile. Harry turned and looked at you giving you a small pout and you just gave him a stern look so he would get on with the conversation the two of you knew you had to have with her.

“That’s so good petal!” Harry’s voice was sweet and she looked up at him giving him a smile that caused her dimple to show. He leaned down and placed a kiss to the top of her head that was covered in soft brown curls.

“Well speaking of teachers we got a call from your school today.” You watched Delilah’s hands stop moving as you spoke, you leaned onto the counter and snatched a carrot off the cutting board in front of you. “Didn’t we Harry?” You added and Harry just nodded and you tossed the carrot at the back of his head causing him to flinch and Delilah to laugh. He snapped his head in your direction and you motioned to your daughter with your hands while mouthing “get on with it” causing him to just roll his eyes at you before going back to his pot on the stove.

“Mum isn’t bein very nice today.” You heard him mumble causing your daughter’s laughter to fill the kitchen. “But listen my little love,” his voice was firm but still had a sweetness to it. She turned her head so she was giving him her full attention. “You can’t go around saying lyrics to my songs at school anymore.” She gave him a confused look at she folded her arms across her chest.

“Why?” Harry gave you a look as if he was asking for help and you just rolled your eyes as you walked around the island and bent down so you could be eye level with Delilah.

“Because love, the lyrics to daddy’s songs aren’t suitable for school. People might think you’re being a bit rude when you say them.” You watched her turn to face you and her little green eyes were squinted as if she was in deep thought.

“But daddy says them,” she pointed towards Harry, “and people don’t think he’s rude.” Harry gave you a smug look causing you to playfully roll your eyes.

“Daddy’s job is to sing those songs on stage at concerts lovey, not in a classroom full of little kids. You see the difference?” She just shrugged at you and you looked at Harry silently pleading for him to jump in and help you.

“Just no more saying them at school okay my little love.” She just looked at Harry and gave him a smile and a nod. “Thank you, now go wash up for dinner.” She gave you a smile as you stood up straight and helped her off her stool. Harry laughed as she skipped out of the kitchen and down the hall.

“Well we handled that well!” You just laughed as Harry wrapped his arm around your waist giving it a squeeze. He gave your cheek a quick kiss before going back to making dinner.

You loved that your daughter went around singing her dad’s songs and you really didn’t mind that she sang them at school, but you knew you and Harry had to nip it in the bud now before the school got really upset with it. The way you and Harry handled situations like these is something that often made the two of you laugh later that night when you discussed it while getting ready for bed. He never liked being the one who had to tell her she can’t do something so that normally left you with the job but tonight you were happy with how he handled it. You loved that he could get his point across while still being his soft sweet self and that was just one of the things you loved about him.

I like the whole idea of Han calling Luke kid forever and Luke being like I'm the same age as your wife Han.

Oh, most definitely. Han 100% calls Luke “kid” from the minute they meet in Mos Eisley till their deaths in extreme old age. (Like, old age such that Luke starts making Yoda jokes about “when 100 years you reach, look this good you will not.”) Han and Leia’s children and Luke’s students (many of which, let’s face it, are pretty much adopted children of his) all find it hilarious.

Han: Hey, kid. How’s it going?

Luke: Han. I’m the same age as your wife. We’re twins. In fact, I’m the older twin.

Han: That’s nice, kid.

Luke: I’m seventy-five years old, Han.

Han: Great, kid. Wanna go flying?

Plot: You never really knew that it was too late, until you saw him standing in the end of the aisle, smiling at his fiancé.

Yet, you told yourself you never got the time. You always said that you would do it tomorrow, but you just couldn’t. You would always leave him with other girls, because you had no self worth – or maybe you were just too much of a coward to ruin what you already shared with him.

“I do.”

His ring sparkles on her finger and he can hardly take his eyes from it.  It fit perfectly, a sparkling reminder that Emma Swan wanted to spend the rest of her life with him,  with a pirate.   With the man who murdered her grandfather.  He bent and pressed a kiss to the top of her head,  memorizing this moment.  He could let it go,  bask in her light for a while longer,  let her keep the unconcerned joyous smile on her lips for just a little while longer  She was saying something and he tried to focus on her words caching the tail end of a sentence.

i. kiss on the hand: hold your partner’s hand with yours and kiss the back of their palm. this is a chivalrous kind of kiss that depicts your likeness and trust for someone.

Sasuke never had a place he could call home.

No matter how hard Naruto tried, Konoha never truly felt like home—it held too many dark memories, too many secrets, too many fears. He’d grown to find comfort in the people rather than the city; he’d learned to accept the title of brother from his blonde haired best friend, he’d agreed to be equals with Kakashi, he’d agreed to be friendly with those who gave him the chance. He felt comfortable, and it was nice, better than he’d ever thought it could be, but it wasn’t home.

But here, with Sakura in his arms, her rose hair in a small ponytail and her green eyes fluttering shut, he begins to feel differently. Here with her back in his chest, small, calm breaths reminding him of that she was here and alive—that he was here and alive—Sasuke thinks, maybe this is what a home is.

Maybe home is splays of pink hair on white sheets in the morning and a smile to rival the sun. Maybe home is small medical scrolls scattered in the living room after a long day’s work. Maybe home is his favorite bento box waiting for him when he wakes up at noon, despite her being a mediocre chef at best. Maybe home is her temper, unmatched by the most vengeful of gods and the most wicked of storms, that somehow, brings him the strangest sense of peace. Maybe home is little kisses on his jaw at four in the morning.

He looks down at his wife, her small frame beginning to curl into his, as if she was meant to fit there. Sasuke takes her limp hand in his own, gently curling his calloused fingers through hers and raising their hands. He brings the back of hers to his lips and let them linger as he reaffirms his conclusion.

Sakura stirs a bit and he swears she smiles (—and he does too).

Yes, Sasuke decides, Sakura is where home is.

I got here on my own.But I appreciate the company. I’m your friend, Will. I don’t care about the lives you save, I care about your life. I’m as alone as you are. You never condemned me. Even under oath. You’ve always been my friend. I wanted to dispel your doubts once and for all. My doubts about what? Me. I want you to believe in the best of me, just as I believe in the best of you. I don’t want to kill you anymore, Doctor Lecter. Not now I finally find you interesting. With all my knowledge and intrusion I could never entirely predict you. I can feed the caterpillar. I can whisper through the chrysalis but what hatches…follows it’s own nature and is beyond me. Problem solving is hunting. It’s a savage pleasure and we’re born to it. A pleasure we can share. You must understand that blood and breath are only elements undergoing change to fuel your radiance. An imago is the image of a loved one, buried in the unconscious. Carried with us all our lives. We could disappear now. Tonight.  I let you know me. See me. I gave you a rare gift…but you didn’t want it. Didn’t I? I forgive you Will. Will you forgive me? I do feel closer to Hannibal here. God only knows where I’d be without him. Hannibal. I forgive you. You cannot control with respect to whom you fall in love. I’ve never known myself as well as I know myself when I’m with him. Because he was my friend. And because I wanted to run away with him. If I saw you everyday forever Will, I would remember this time. I looked up at the night sky there. Orion above the horizon and, near it, Jupiter. I wondered if you could see it, too. I wondered if our stars were the same. I believe some of our stars will always be the same. You entered the foyer of my mind and stumbled down the hall of my beginnings. Where does the difference between the past and the future come from? Mine? Before you and after you. Yours? It’s all starting to blur. You and I have begun to blur. We’re conjoined. I’m curious whether either of us can survive separation. I would have liked to have shown you Florence, Will. I want you to know exactly where I am. Where you can always find me. You’re family, Will. You called us Murder Husbands. Is your wife aware of how intimately you and Hannibal know each other? Is Hannibal…in love with me? Could he daily feel a stab of hunger for you and find nourishment at the very sight of you? Yes. But do you…ache for him? You turned yourself in so I would always know where you were. But you’d only do that if I rejected you. I need you Hannibal. Please. Going my way? My compassion for you is inconvenient, Will. I don’t know if I can save myself. Maybe that’s just fine. See? This is all I ever wanted for you, Will. For both of us. It’s beautiful.

Applejack: Okay, Sunset. You need to get your girl under control. She almost burnt my orchard to the ground with that flamethrower she put in my hat! She’s dangerous when you leave her alone in the lab!

Sunset: MY WIFE IS PERFECT AND I WON’T HEAR ANY SLANDER OF HER NAME.

Applejack: Wait, did you just call Twilight your wife?

Sunset: Oh…crap…

Applejack: Are y’all seriously marrie-

Sunset: Please don’t tell anyone!

Applejack: Okay, but please stop choking me.

Okay but the scene in The Scotsman Saves Jack Pt 2 where Jack jumps good and The Scotsman is like “yeah, yeah” leads me to believe that this is not the first time Jack has pulled this trick on him. Not to mention The Scotsman insisting Jack cheats and Jack arguing that he does not. So, in order to further the headcanon of secretly Slytherin petty-ass smirk Jack I give you this list of similar events:

-One time they were climbing a mountain, and The Scotsman made a bet that whoever made it to the top first was the best warrior of the two. Jack just fucking anime jumps up there in a couple leaps, and by the time The Scotsman gets to the top he’s sitting there with some tea like “I hope the long journey did not tax you friend”. The Scotsman gets some tea of course, Jack isn’t THAT petty and smirky.

-Anytime they make any bet and Jack bends the rules or finds a loophole The Scotsman insists he cheated but Jack genuinely believes a bent rule is not a broken one and pretends to make a huff about how The Scotsman is offending his honor.

-The Scotsman thinks he’s finally got him when it comes down to technology, because even though he carries around a sword all old-school he grew up in this time and Jack is a dinosaur. So he tries to show off his skills by showing Jack how he can use a cell-phone, but Jack just politely asks some nearby teenagers for help operating it and because he’s a famous and super pretty samurai they help him.

-One time during a fight they’re counting kills a la Gimli and Legolas style and Jack grabs The Scotsman’s gun leg to shoot down a robot and The Scotsman insists that the kill should belong to him.

-The reason Jack got so nervous when The Scotsman suggested wrestling as the final test is because it’s the one thing he can never beat him in. Even though he trained in it with the masters of masters The Scotsman just fucking lays on him and is too heavy to move and just sits there laughing while Jack struggles.

-Jack usually at least gets him off by pointing off in the distance and being like “look, your wife is calling to you” and somehow it works every time.
