Another song thing. This time the song is “your bones” by “of monsters and men”. I know I should finish “flesh and bone” first but this will take lesser frames and I’m still trying to think of what to draw in the other panels.

Suffer with me

Imagine (because I love to Suffer) if, instead of using Brenner to get to Eleven, Kali dug deeper into Elevens mind and found the fears she didn’t even know she had.

First, she shows her Joyce, a woman she met briefly a year ago but that showed her more affection than she had received from anyone before, a woman that treated her like a daughter, that hugged and clinged to her in the pool and reminded her she’s here for her. But this time, there’s no warmth in her eyes. No, there’s a burning fire. Her lips snarl and her eyebrows rise. “My boy suffered because of you. My son, my Will, was in that PLACE because of you. Because you opened the gate. You disgust me. You ruined my family you thought, what, that I cared for you? That I’m grateful for what you have done? That I’ve been grieving you? You were a means to an end to get my son, that’s all. You’re just a stranger to me and that’s all you’ll ever be.”

Joyce then changes suddenly into Lucas, who calls her a freak and an abomination, who says he was always afraid of her, he’ll never accept her as a part of the party, she’ll always be an outsider. I saw what you meant to Mike, he says, but I never got it. What’s there to fancy in YOU? You’re not pretty, you’re a freak, you’re dangerous. What’s there to like about someone like you? You’re a monster, you’re a murderer.

Lucas then turns into Dustin, and instead of the adorable smile that settles his mouth is a straight line. He yells at her, you were never my friend. I thought your powers were important, I liked your powers but I hated you, I was terrified of you, I wanted to leave you behind, to give you up to the bad men. I never saw you as a real person, you know, more like a supervillian. The only reason I was so cool with you for so long was your powers, and you couldn’t even use them properly.

Eleven blinks and in Dustins place is Will. Sweet, innocent Will, without a mean bone in his body, he just whispers, why did you do it, Eleven? Why did you open the gate? Why did you let the monster get me? Everything I’ve suffered is because of you, you cause pain and suffering wherever you go, Eleven, you hurt everyone in your way. You’re no good, Eleven, you’re not good. Just leave us alone, Eleven, stay here, in Chicago and let us be happy.

She blinks again and suddenly there’s Hopper. The man that’s been taking care of her for a whole year. I never loved you, you know, he mutters, cigarette between this fingers, I pitied you, I suppose. You reminded me of Sara- that’s all. You were never going to be my daughter, you could never mean that much to anybody else. I just pitied you, I pitied what this world could do to you. There were times when I considered never returning to the cabin, just leaving you there to fend for yourself, but then I’d just think about the more damage you’d cause. You’re not as important as you seem to think you are, kid, you’re replaceable.

And when she thinks her heart couldn’t break anymore, there’s Mike. Wonderful, kind, sweet Mike that showed her nothing but patience and understanding the second he met her. Mike that looked at her with love in his eyes. But this Mike was different. He was cold, his lips snarled, he looked down at her like she was dirt. God, you’ve ruined everything, do you know that, he says. You came into my life and managed to ruin it in a weeks time. You took away my best friend, he suffered because of you. You nearly killed my other best friend, you killed countless people in front of me without even thinking twice. You’re a monster. How could you ever think I loved you? How could I love a monster like you? He moves closer towards her, his face inches from hers. She looks up, hoping to see something familiar in his eyes but the fire is still there and it’s brighter. “You’re the monster, Eleven. YOU are the monster. You’ve ruined everything. Don’t ever come back, do you understand? Leave me alone. I don’t ever want to see you again. You mean nothing to me. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing!”

She screams, pushing her hands into his chest and he disappears into nothingness. She feels herself collapse on her knees as the click, click, click of Kali’s shoes echo in the empty room. She hears a finally bang of the door closing, and she tries to calm her tears, rolling down her face. Her heart is breaking, and there’s nothing she can do.

My love, how was I to know
that they would make a myth of us?
Did we not die? Are we not dead?
Are your bones not my bones?

Before the war.
Before we had to
kiss Troy out of each other’s
teeth, we were a paradise.
You were the only one I kneeled
You made the warrior in me tired.

They write about your death.
How I sliced through countless
men trying to build a
monument to the monster
I was after your body
blazed before me.

I can tell you now that
I begged for the arrow.
Welcomed it.
My last wish was to
sleep beside you in our tent.
To hide you so well in the afterlife
that no God could take you
from me again.

My quiet love was yours from the
I call my ankles by your name.
When mother dipped me in the river, she was introducing us.

Summary: A slap to Negan’s face should have landed you six feet in the ground, but instead it left you with a new and curious shadow. Negan finds you interesting, and you find yourself no longer caring.

Pairings: Negan/You

Warnings: Explicit language (it’s Negan, people),

“Ho-ly fuck!” Negan slowly turned his head back to look at you, a fire in his eyes.

Your hand was still curled into a fist. You could feel the sting from punching him pulse against your knuckles. You could feel the rage his comment had caused. He really shouldn’t have tried for a humorous joke… where the punch line was hoe he’d killed one of your people.

When it had happened, when he’d beaten your friend’s head in with a barbwire wrapped bat he’d charmingly named Lucille, you hadn’t been there. You’d been out scavenging. Coming home to find the remnants of your friend’s brains mushed into the dirt road at the front of you community had almost snapped you into insanity.

You couldn’t help but wonder if your presence might have changed what had happened. But with no way of knowing, you were left with millions of questions plaguing your mind, while your soul buried itself into a hole of guilt and despair.

So, when Negan and his people showed up at the gates of your community a week later, you felt your misery turn to anger. When Negan made his comment, you felt your anger turn to rage.

Punching him was not your best move. It had been pretty stupid, and you knew that… now. But even though you were sure he was about to kill you just as he’d killed your friend, you still couldn’t help but feel pretty satisfied.

Negan’s eyes looked you up and down, an unreadable fire burning in them. His lips were set in a straight line. You were sure that was the last thing you would see before your untimely death.

But then the unimaginable happened. The line of his lips curved up and into a smirk, as the fire in his eyes burned hot with intrigue and interest.

“Well, sweetheart, I have no fucking clue who you are, but I sure as hell wanna find out.” He took a step closer, moving into your personal space without a care. “Maybe I should fucking take you back with me instead?”

Tightening your jaw, you glared up at him. An itch grew in your arm, a desire to punch him again making itself known. But you weren’t going to push your luck.

“I’d rather be eaten alive.”

His grin grew. “Oh, that can be arrange sweetheart, just say the fucking word.”

Unable to stop yourself, you began to blush profusely, the anger dimming as embarrassment flared up inside you.

Before you could say or do anything else, Negan turned on his heels and walked down the road, a smug swagger in his step.

when divinity looks down on men, and they open their mouths — their tongues slithering down: from mouth, to throat, to lungs and hearts and ribs ——

black, swollen things that lick the insides; yearning for a taste of mortality, because when you are eternal and immortal and omniscient all you want is to breathe time in and feel it corrode your bones. decay swinging to the ticking of the clock and men——

humanity looks up at divinity, and searches for eternity; prophets with eyes like glass, skeletal and fearless as they stare back. languidly ingested alive by the Gods they yearn to touch.

until they are people-shaped shells and monsters lurk behind the expanse of those washed out eyes.

A/N: Hi, it’s savvy!sam here, bringing you something a little spookier for Friday the 13th. Hope you enjoy!

The man lunges forward, bringing the iron poker down in a diagonal slash across the apparition, and it disappears with a ghastly scream in front of your eyes. For a moment, the room is eerily silent, and then the other man is pulling you into a standing position and tugging you into another room. You follow without question.

You aren’t exactly sure what is happening. Yes, two men who originally introduced themselves as Special Agents Gibbons and Beards are in your house, spilling salt to form a circle on the floor and waving iron weapons around, and yes, there is a revenge-seeking spirit wreaking havoc on your once normal life. You know that much for sure.

But how? How is there a revenge-seeking spirit even there to wreak havoc? You’ve never believed in ghosts or monsters or anything supernatural. You’ve never even had a reason to think any of those things existed. But now there are strange men in your home, talking low about “burning the bones didn’t seem to work” and “what else can be tethering her here?” It scares you more than anything has scared you before.

“What the hell is going on?” you question the men, trying to keep your voice steady. Your voice wavers on the third syllable and frightened tears spring to your eyes.

No one answers you, but the shorter man grasps your elbow gently and pulls you into the salt circle.

“Whatever you do, stay here,” he says firmly. “You’ll be perfectly fine if you stay inside this circle.”

“What are you going to do?”

As he opens his mouth to answer, a strong, invisible force knocks him off of his feet and across the room. He slams into the opposite wall, shattering the china cabinet, and you gasp as the ghost takes form again, ratty hair a crazy halo around her head.

She points a gnarled finger your way, baring her teeth, but she doesn’t come any closer. You look down at the ground and immediately know why.

The salt. She’s not coming any closer because of the salt.

“Y/N!” The frantic yell snaps you out of your reverie, and you peer up to see the hands of the ghost suddenly wrapped around the tall man’s neck. He’s struggling, and he doesn’t have any sort of weapon.

You quickly search around for an iron poker–that’s the only thing that you know will get rid of it momentarily–and find it just outside your protective circle.

You hesitate, thinking over the situation. You don’t know these men, you hardly know what’s going on, you don’t particularly want to die tonight… but you can’t let them die either. And if you don’t act soon, that just might happen.

With a frenzied cry, you lunge for the poker, sweeping some of the salt away in the process. You grab hold of it and swing it upwards towards the ghost, and she disappears with a scream once more.

“Are you alright?” you ask the man, who is gasping for air, and he nods slightly, gingerly grabbing your arm.

“She’s tethered here,” he whispers, with a tone that sounds like he hopes you understand what he’s about to say. “There’s something that she cares about keeping her here. If we can find it and burn it, we can end this.”

You shake your head in confusion. “I-I don’t know-”

“Is there anything here-an object of some sort-that seems connected to the spirit somehow?”

Your eyebrows knit together, and you think for a moment before it hits you. “The painting,” you say. You remember the day you moved in; it had been hanging on the wall, a piece you had assumed belonged to the previous owners, and you had taken it down. The next day, however, it was exactly where it had been when you had got there. That was the first of many strange things that had happened to you in this house, and you’re sure that if anything were to be keeping the ghost here, it would be the painting.

“The painting,” the man repeats, and you point to its location. It’s on the floor now, knocked to the ground in the midst of everything, lying right beside the shorter man. Though still a bit dazed from the impact he just experienced, he seems to understand what is going on. He digs around in his jacket pocket, brings out a lighter, flicks the top and drops it on the painting just as the ghost appears next to you.

She screams in agony as she burns up along with her painting. You sit back, heart pounding and eyes large, as she fades away one last time, never to hurt you or anyone else ever again. When it’s all over, a heaving breath escapes your mouth, and you gaze unbelievingly at the two men gathered around you.

“Who… who are you?” you ask. They exchange a glance, one that tells you that they have to answer this question a lot, and the shorter one chuckles a bit.

“We’re Dean and Sam Winchester. And, well… we hunt monsters.”

I’ve seen several different versions of McGucket in Monster Falls, from demons to scarecrows, but personally I think the most fitting monster for him is one we learn about in Journal 3:

The Kill Billy
Feral, fanged, glowing-eyed hill men will suck your blood and steal your overalls! These may be the beings responsible for the cursed outhouses. Communicate through grunts and ham-boning. When you hear bluegrass music, run for the nearest convenience store. They can’t get it. (No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service.)

(so, i’d figure i’d just post this to show y’all what i listened to/drew inspiration from while writing the story. nothing remarkable but enjoy!)
