Weekly Book Review

“The Silence of Six” by E.C. Myers is a thrilling, contemporary take on the theme of government conspiracy.

Seventeen-year-old Evan declares war on corporate-government by live-streaming his own suicide during a presidential debate and leaving his best friend, Max, on the frontlines. Now Max must return to the world of hacking in order to finish Evan’s mission and uncover the mystery of the “Silence of Six” before he, himself, is silenced.

Set in a world not too far from our own, a world threatened by government conspiracy and the epic loss of privacy we face today with the advancement of technology, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat always thinking you are one step ahead when you have no idea what will happen next.

I give this book a 10/10 with its non-stop action and high-tech characters, and I highly recommend it to the wired generations and anyone who enjoys a thrilling mystery.

Myers applauds today’s advances in technology but warns us of the dangers that come with it.
