you tell her jake

this love is o u r s

i just love how there was such a stark contrast between jake telling amy he still has feelings for her (”i know you’re with teddy and nothing is going to happen, i just wanted you to know”) vs teddy telling amy he still has feelings for her (”why are you with him” “will you marry me”)

Part One ~ Part Two ~ Part Four

Enoch wasn’t particularly happy. Not that he was ever really happy most of the time, but this time he was in a distinct unhappy mood. And it was Horace’s dreams of the future that had him so grumpy. So very much so that he couldn’t work on any of his homunculus.

Sitting there, watching the dreams, seeing (Y/N) laughing and having a jolly time. But it wasn’t that. He couldn’t be mad at (Y/N) for being happy. It was who was making her happy in the dream. The boy who would be coming to the loop, soon enough.

Abe’s grandson.

When they were first told of Jake coming to the loop, he didn’t want anything to do with him. This was because he expected him to get up and go like his grandfather had oh so many years ago. However, now seeing him with (Y/N) in Horace’s dreams, it made him more than upset. He would break (Y/N)’s heart!

He didn’t want that to happen. Emma had already sworn off love, he didn’t want (Y/N) to let go of that either. She was too sweet, too pure. As she said, “sugary sweet,” which he didn’t so much know why she would refer to herself as sugar. It was far too sweet.

He couldn’t sleep. He didn’t want to. Not with this feeling bubbling up in him. He wasn’t jealous, he told himself. It wasn’t jealousy, it was just a protective manner. He simply didn’t want her getting hurt.

And yet he could still see those images of her and Jake together in the gardens. How he made her giggle and blush. He hated it. Hate was a strong word, but it greatly described how he felt towards the subject matter.

He had to talk to her. He couldn’t let her be in her room, unknowing of what was to happen. So he thrusted himself up out of the bed and left his room in his nightly apparel, his feet making small noises against the floor as he tried to stay as quiet as possible.

He made it to her room almost silently, turning the knob and pushing open the door. He made his way in quickly, knowing that if he were to get caught, then it wouldn’t be good. One reason being because it didn’t look like anything he was intending to do. Sneaking into a girl’s room, how gentlemen like of him.

Her room was dark, nearly pitch black. The reset wasn’t that long ago, but it was still late into the night. (Y/N)’s room was not illuminated in anyway at all. He had to trust his memory to guide him through her room, in hopes that she hadn’t spontaneously moved anything around.

Once at her bed, he looked down at her almost peaceful face that he could barely make out in the dark. She was asleep. This time she had been cooped up in here, he thought that maybe she had started to sleep during the day and be awake in the night. It was a relief to see that was not the case.

He reached out to her, shaking her shoulder lightly.

“(Y/N), wake up,” he said gently. He still shook her but made sure not to shake her too hard. “(Y/N).”

“Oh, what do you want?” she mumbled, her eyes opening. She let them adjust to the darkness before she sat up. “You’re not supposed to be in here, you know that,” she said sternly, her voice still rough from being asleep.

“I know,” he said, looking down for a moment. He pressed his lips together as he sat on the edge of her bed. He could see her better now since the clouds had moved from in front of the the moon. The light shined in.

She was in a nightgown that hung loosely off of her shoulder and tied at the top, just below her neck. It wasn’t tied and one sleeve was pushed off of her shoulder. Her blanket was now bunched up at her hips from her sitting up.

“Then why are you in here?” she asked. He was a little shocked by her tone. She sounded almost angry with him. Then again, he did wake her from her sleep.

“I’ve just come to tell you about Jake,” he told her.

“Olive’s already told me of him, how amazing she thinks he’ll be, and of how excited she is to finally have someone knew coming to the loop,” (Y/N) listed off. She didn’t seem too pleased about any of this. She also didn’t seem to know about the rest of Horace’s dreams. “Are you here to tell me you’re jealous?”

“I’m not jealous,” he stated defensively. “Why would I be?”

“New boy around about the age we look, coming around and getting onto your territory,” she told him, rolling her eyes.

“What are you even talkin’ ‘bout?” he asked her, shaking his head. “I’m not jealous. He’s just coming to see if we’re here and then he’s gonna leave.”

“I doubt it,” she said and scoffed. “You’re just too cautious. He could stay for all you know.”

“He’ll leave, just like his grandfather did,” he retorted.

“You just want to believe that,” she told him as she poked her finger into his chest, “because you’re scared that he’s gonna hurt someone. Like Emma or Olive.”

“Or you,” he said, tagging her onto the list because he firmly believed it would be her.

“He’s not going to hurt me because I’m going to stay here,” she told him and threw the blanket off of her legs, revealing that the gown only stopped at her thighs. “Unlike you, fine sir, who should be leaving.”

She got up and took his arm in her hands, pulling him up. He looked at her, almost unbelieving that she was about to force him out of her room. “You really don’t belong in my room,” she commented.

“Hear me out, will ya,” he said, resisting the pull of his arm. She wasn’t strong, not in the slightest, but she had a determination to get him out of there. He wasn’t about to stand for it.

“I’ve heard you out,” she insisted, “You’re scared and you’re jealous.” She didn’t look at him as she pulled him toward the door, his tired body following.

“You haven’t. I’m not leavin’ ‘til you do,” he pressed on her, planting his feet on the floor of her room and tugging her back. Her feeble body bounded back abruptly, running into his chest. Her hands braced on his torso and pushed herself away from him. She looked up at him.

“Enoch, stop being stubborn,” she scoffed. Her pupils were hard as she stared at him. “Now will you please just leave me be.” It wasn’t a question.

“(Y/N),” he pleaded tenderly. The way he said it made her eyes soften as her lip pouted a bit. “I’m trying to warn you.”

Her eyes became hard again. “Of what? Jake? I hardly believe he’ll hurt me,” she told him, walking past him. She started pushing him toward the door a final time. “Now goodnight, Enoch.”

She opened the door and pushed him out, causing him to stumble some and make a bit of noise. He turned to glance back at her, but she was already closing the door. He made a move to stop her, but the door was shut by then and there he was, left standing there before after several moments returning to his own room.

Title: Settle For Me
Character: Jake Peralta
A/n: I listened to the “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” soundtrack and for some reason this song just screamed Jake to me, I dunno why. Give it a listen and lemme know if you agree.

“You’re staring at him again.”

Your chin fell from your hand and you looked up wide eyed at Rosa who was staring you down with her usual unamused expression.

You sat up in your desk chair, smoothing out your hair and presuming your case report as you cleared your throat. “Maybe I was.”

Rose clicked her tongue, reclining in her chair as she folded her arms, the leather material of her jacket making small squelch noises. “Why don’t you just ask him out, it’s obvious you have a thing for him.”

“I can’t! Then he’ll know!” You told her with a distressed expression as you cast a small glance over at the cute detective across the room.

His name was Josh and you had been harboring a small crush over him ever since he started working at the precinct a couple months ago. On his first day, he accidentally spilled coffee all over your new white blouse, and after dozens of apologies he told you to take his NYPD jacket to cover the mess.

He was just so dishy, a kind smile, the most dazzling blue eyes you’d ever seen on a person, and one of those jawlines that looked like it could cut butter.

“He’s too good looking for me,” You reasoned, the speed of your typing increasing the more you thought on it. “I’ll just admire from afar.”

Rose exhailed sharply and rested her elbows on the top of her desk she was intimidatingly close. “Look, I don’t care but you should know that anyone would be lucky to be with you,” Her eyes took one glance at how your eyes lit up and she went back to her work. “And I don’t care, just man the hell up and ask him.”

You smiled at her, knowing she was trying to be supportive the best she could.

Just a couple feet away from your desks was Jake Peralta, unhappily switching gaze between you and Josh, noticing the doey look you were giving him much to Jake’s annoyance.

Jake let out a sigh, starting to fill out some forms and not-so-subtlety looking up at Amy, waiting for a response.

When he got nothing he sighed again, louder this time and dramatically tossing aside his pencil.

Amy gave him one glance before going back to her work.

Jake frowned. “Alright, you obviously can tell I’m in a distressed state and want to vent, the least you can do is pretend to care.”

Amy rolled her eyes. “Why don’t you go find Boyle or Gina?”

“Boyle’s on that family trip and Gina found a new place to practice her dance moves.”

Amy followed his hand and saw Gina sparatically dancing in the evidence room with a huge pair of headphones on.

“Okay,” Amy said quietly, pushing away her keyboard. “I’m just gonna pretend I didn’t see that, what do you want?”

Jake pretended to toss back his hair. “Thank you, it’s nice to feel appreciated,” He said, taking a great deal of pleasure in her annoyed scowl. “I’ve been into (Y/n) for over a year now, why does she like that tool more than me?” He asked, throwing a quick gesture over to Josh.

Amy looked over at him and smiled. “Oh yeah, the cute one.”

Jake groaned, falling back into his chair. “What is wrong with you two! I’m a catch!”

Amy snorted, folding her hands neatly on her desk. “Well let’s start with the easiest things. For one, he is exceedingly more handsome than you, definitely more in shape, he’s sweet and charismatic, doesn’t have a weird attachment to the one nice jacket he owns and his credit is impeccable.”

Jake looked at her with his mouth agape. “Well glad to know you put a lot of thought into this, Santiago. And for the record! I have tons of jackets.” He said, grabbing his leather jacket and tossing it onto the floor behind him.

Amy stood up from her seat, grabbing her coffee mug and looking at him with an unimpressed expression. “I guess add that he’s less petty than you onto the list now too.”

Jake pouted. “Dammit, she got me.”

He looked over at you again, noticing the small peices of hair falling out of the updo your hair was in and how your fingers tapped on your desk and he found himself smiling softly.

Jake stood up, quickly plucking his jacket off the ground. “I’m sorry, she made me do it, just ignore her.” He whispered to it before putting on and adjusting his hood over the collar.

“Hey, (Y/n)!” He said, casually strolling up to your desk and attempting a charming smile. “Wanna go grab a coffee with me?”

You looked up at him and smiled. “Yeah, sure. I could use a break.”

Jake smiled and offered his arm to you. “After you.”

The whole walk to the coffee shop, you and Jake talked about everything under the sun, cracking small jokes to one another and just having a lovely little moment together.

Jake just couldn’t stop thinking about how great a couple the two of you would make. You and him just understood each other and for him, you were the most easiest person in the world to talk to.

Not to mention he felt his entire insides turn to jelly when you leaned into him after a particularly hearty chuckle, still having your arm linked with his. He wanted to be that close to you all the time.

Then he would remember you had a crush on someone else and it really killed the mood.

But what really bothered him was that Josh never really seemed to notice you the same way, he was polite to you but never went out of his way to talk to you. And Jake couldn’t understand how someone lucky enough to hold your affection would just ignore you.

The two of you sat down at a little table near the window and continued to talk about small things while you waited for your coffee.

Jake watched how your fingers would sometimes tug onto your lips when you were trying to think of something or the way you tapped your foot to the beat of the music playing in the background.

“Can I confess something?”

You were about to respond when a barista came over and set down two mugs of coffee on the table. “A secret from Jake Peralta? I’m all ears.”

Jake laughed, twirling his mug by the handle. “I just wanted to tell you that I really think the world of you, I think you’re brilliant at your job.”

He looked up and saw you eyeing him curiously over the brim of your mug and he cleared his throat before continuing. “And I know that you have a thing for Josh,”

You choked a little on your coffee, placing the cup down before covering the lower half of your face with your hand. “H-How did you know that?” Flushing when you heard him chuckle.

Jake looked at you with such fondness it almost took you back a little. “C'mon, I know you better than anyone in 99, plus you’re really not that subtle.”

He shook his head. “Not the point though, what I mean is I’ve had a crush on you for forever and I wanted to know if you would give me a shot,” Jake said quickly, noticing the surprised look on your face. “I know I’m literally nothing like Josh, word around the office is that he’s a dreamboat but don’t take my word for it.”

Your brows furrowed. “You have a crush on me?”

Jake nodded and looked down at his coffee. “Yup, I mean I totally don’t mind being your second, I just can’t shake the feeling that we’d be really good together. So, I was uh, hoping you’d let me at least give me a try. I mean we’re great partners and I like being with you” He laughed. “Call it a sad version of fate.”

You smiled at him and shook your head. “I can’t believe I didn’t notice, I must have been pretty oblivious.”

Jake blew a raspberry. “God, you were the worst! I was worried I’d have to go full Boyle or have Gina come up with an interpretive dance to tell you.”

You laughed, taking a moment to look at him. “You deserve a lot better than to be a second choice, Jake. Tell you what, why don’t we go out somewhere Friday night, maybe we could see a movie?”

Jake gave you smile that just beamed happiness and he held out his hand. “(Y/f/n), are you asking me out?”

You took his hand and kissed the back of it, causing Jake to let out a totally manly squeal. “Yes, I am.”

Jake was properly blushing, but he cleared his throat and wheezed. “Thought you’d never ask.”

  • Aaaaand the end scene of 3X10 the end scene of 3X10 the end scene of 3X10

And that’s not even counting all the moments that make me laugh with pure joy because of how beautifully stupid they are, or the moments that make me laugh because they’re just like me, and I left out some stuff that I talk about a lot to make the list shorter. And now I need to go curl into a ball after thinking about all that stuff and uh….feel free to add your own

Pairing - Jake x F!MC
Rating: G to PG

(I loved writing this, so I hope you all enjoy!)

You’re all hiding in the Celestial’s staffroom, having escaped the Watchers attack a few hours ago.

Everyone has collapsed around the room- some in chairs, some on the floor. The only people not resting are Michelle, Quinn and Jake.

Quinn rummages through a lost and found box, searching for something. A small “aha!” tells you she’s found what she was looking for- she spins around, marching over to you with an armful of clothes.

“Here. It’s getting cold.” She says, holding them out. Your cheeks flush as you take them. She smiles, heading over to Jake, who’s standing in the doorway.

“I found clothes for you too.” She tells him. He glances over his shoulder at her.

“Appreciate it, Ariel.” He flashes her a grin, taking them and quickly pulling the shirt over his head as she returns to her seat.

Michelle finds a first aid kit and a pile of clean towels, setting up a makeshift nurse’s office with two tables before calling everyone over one by one. She’s thorough, professional…. And a damn good nurse. Eventually, she calls you over and you don’t argue. She starts cleaning some of the cuts on your back, and you find yourself drifting off suddenly. Your eyes close…

“M/C, did one of the Watchers bite you?!” She asks suddenly, her fingers gently running over your shoulder. Your eyes snap back open, just in time to see Sean and Craig look over at you. You feel your cheeks grow warm and you glance over at Jake, who seems suddenly very interested in a sign that reads; Your number 1 job is to make people smile!

He glances casually at you, and you can see he’s trying to keep a straight face. He winks, before looking back at the sign.

Michelle follows your glance, and you see her raise an eyebrow. You give her a look, and she pretends to zip her lips, going back to cleaning your wounds.

“Actually, now I look closely I think it’s more like finger nail marks.” She says lightly, “Probably from when I grabbed you as you fell, remember?” You nod, and you see Craig and Sean return to their conversation. You mouth a thank you to Michelle, who just smiles.

Once she’s done, you pull your shirt back on and head back to your spot, slumping down and closing your eyes.

Several minutes pass, before Michelle turns to Jake.

“Jake, come and sit down.”  He glances over his shoulder, giving her a look.

“I’m good, Maybelline.” He tells her, unmoving.

“Jake, you’re bleeding.” You open your eyes to see her cross her arms.

He looks down, noticing a damp patch on his shirt before shrugging.

“I’ve had worse.” He counters, and you can see frustration building in Michelle’s face.

“Don’t push it, Maybelline. I don’t need you to stick a band aid on a paper cut.”

“That is-“

“Jake McKenzie, sit your ass down now.” A voice snaps.

The quiet murmurings in your group stops, and you realise suddenly it’s you who snapped. Jake looks surprised for a second. Then…

Everyone looks at you, but you remain focused on Jake as you get to your feet.

“Don’t test me, Jake. Shut up, sit down and let Michelle look at you.” You step forward, leaning on the table as you stare him down. He looks you up and down, before also starting to lean on the table.

“I don’t take orders from you, Princess. So-“ He stops suddenly, hissing. You blink, and glance at Michelle, who shrugs. You look back at the Pilot.

“Did you just hiss at me?!”

“No, I-“ He stands up straight- and sways slightly. His hand moves to his side, and you see a flash of pain cross his face. Your anger vanishes, and you move around the table so you’re beside him.

“Lie down.” You order, pointing at the table. He opens his mouth to argue, but seems to lack the strength.

“Doesn’t look too comfy. I think I’ll pass.” He flashes a smile at you. You don’t smile back.

“Now. Or I’ll get Craig to hold you down.”  Craig looks up, grinning at the sound of his name.

Jake seems to weigh up his options…

He lies down on the table. He doesn’t look happy, but you don’t care. Michelle gets to, moving Jake’s shirt out of the way so that she can see his wound. Your stomach twists as you get a look at it. A deep gash runs across his side, bleeding sluggishly. Michelle tuts, grabbing a towel and pressing it against the gash.

“Hold it down.” She directs you. As you press down, Jake lets out a grunts of pain, and you feel him flinch slightly. Michelle continues to work- glancing at you when she finds scratch marks down his back. You give her a look of innocence, and she shakes her head. A sudden light touch on your hip makes you look down. Jake’s eyes are locked on you, his hand now resting on your hip. You smile down at him, and he smiles back. You notice how pale he looks, and how a faint sheen of sweat covers his forehead. You feel guilty that you didn’t notice before.

“Hey, Princess.” He mumbles. You smile, reaching out with your spare hand, brushing a lock of hair out of from his face. Slowly his eyes begin to close and you look over at Michelle. She looks at you, giving you a gentle smile.

“Let him sleep.” She whispers. You move out of the way as she moves to check the gash, bandaging it. . “If it starts bleeding again, I’ll stitch it.” She walks off, heading to the sink. You sit back down, this time near Jake’s head. Your reach out, your fingers gently curling in the Pilot’s long hair. He seems to relax at your touch, and you can’t help but relax yourself.

“Hey, M/C.” You don’t bother looking over.

“Yes, Craig?”

“Zahra and me wanna know- How long have you and Flyboy been doing the nasty?”

You hear the sound of someone being slapped.

“What? It’s not like I asked for details!” you hear Craig hiss.

“I will literally murder you.”

(You decide not to answer the question.)

Anonymous: Bitchhhhhhh I need a part 2 for bump in the road ASAPPPPP :)

Hey guys! Since I have gotten numerous requests for a part two to Bump In The Road, I decided I’ll go ahead and do it. But guys, please keep in mind that if I do write sad/ angst imagines, there won’t always be a part two. Not all stories have happy endings, please respect that.

Part 1

It’s been 7 months since Jake had last seen you, each day that passed made him more regretful than the last.

Jake’s dreams were filled with nothing but your broken face and slouched form as you left him. He knew you were still in the city, he just didn’t know where.

Jake stared at the laptop screen, his eyes blood shot from the lack of sleep. A large coffee with extra cream and sugar was in his hand as his mind wandered off.

“So.” A deep voice broke Jake from his thoughts. He looked up to see his co worker, Lex Charnahan. Jake studied Lex’s features, seeing how he stood tall with his arms crossed as he peered down at him knowingly. “Are you looking for her?” Jake nodded.

“You’re lucky she loves me enough to keep in contact with me.” Lex chuckled deeply.

Jake stood from his seat quickly, nearly tipping his coffee over. “You know where she is?”

Lex nodded. “She’s downtown, look for the Village complex. She’s in apartment 469.”

Jake felt as if he could break out into a happy dance. He grabbed his phone, thanking Lex before running to his car.

Jake’s nerves were on edge. Excitement and fear mushed together in the bottom of his stomach as he parked out side your apartment. What if you didn’t want him back? What if his baby grew up without a dad. No. That couldn’t happen, he would fight for you.

Jake tapped his knuckles on your door frame, feeling slightly nauseous.

“Coming!” He heard your sing-song voice yell from behind the door. No more than a minute later your breath taking face evaded Jake’s eyesight.

“Hi.” Jake breathed, feeling his heart flutter at the sight of you. Your stomach had grown 10x bigger, your skin had this natural glow to it. You still were so beautiful.

You faltered from one foot to the other uneasy. “Hey.”

The tension was so thick, Jake wanted to be in your head right now, picking apart everything you were thinking. “Wanna come in?” You said, pushing the door further open. Jake nodded.

“Here.” You said handing him a cup of tea. “So I’m guessing you came here to  talk.”

Jake nodded and sipped his tea. “I saw the pregnancy test.”

“I guess so.”

“I-I-I was so stressed, Y/N. So fucking stressed, and yes, I under stand that that’s no reason to just end things on the spot. Y/N, I love you, I love you so much. When you walked out that door, you took my heart with you. And when I saw that test-god- I hated myself. These past months have been hell, all i could think about was you and the baby, our baby. You… You don’t have to take me back, but please, just think about it.”

You smiled down at your cup, watching the little specs from the natural herbs float around. “I don’t have to think about it, Jake. Jake we belong together, I’ve known that from the first time you spilled water all over me.” You laughed at the thought. “I want you back, Jake. I want us to be a family.”

Jake jumped up from his spot on the  couch, gripping you into a one crushing hug.

“Jake! Baby! Remember!” You squeaked out.

“Sorry! Sorry!” He laughed breathlessly. Jake peppered kisses all over your stomach. “I love our little family, so much.”

Putting your daughter to sleep doesn’t take a long time. You’ve done it so you know, but some how every time Jake put Stella to bed he would be her over an hour. This time you decided to see what was taking him so long. Usually you would work on same papers or clean the kitchen, but you out all that on a pause and quickly walked to Stellas room. Getting closer to her room you could hear them whisper. At the door you could clearly here Jake say

“Okay, honey. It’s time for bed” you heard the bed move, that meant Stella was getting in it.

“Will you tell me a story?” there was no sleeping without a story.

“Of course. What do you want to hear. One of your Disney stories?” you imagined all the book Stella already had on her table. Ready for story time. You had some ideas of what she would like to hear, but non of those were what she asked.

“No, the story of mommy and daddy” you tried to think of what story she was talking about, maybe Jake got her a new story. You could hear Jake chuckle.

“I’ve told you that story a lot of times. Aren’t to bored of it already?” you could hear Jake sit in on the bed and move the covers.

“No, that’s my favorite story. I like it because it’s true and because of it I’m here” you still couldn’t understand what was going on. But as Jake started to talk you finally knew.

Every time Jake takes Stella to bed he tells her to story of how you and Jake met. How Jake first saw you working at an event and he just couldn’t keep his eyes off of you. He told her about how scared he was to talk to you, but then found the courage to talk you. You listened to Jake telling Stella how he fell in love with you. That still every time he looks at you he falles even more in love.

“What do you love about mommy the most?” Stella asked in a sleepy voice. You knew she would be asleep in just few moments.

“I love her smile. I love how her eyes shine when she looks at you and me. I love her big heart” Jakes words made you tear up. He tells you everyday how much he loves you, but hearing him speak about you that way to his daughter made it even more special. By the sound of the movement, Jake was getting off the bed. So you quickly made your way back to the kitchen. Just as you collected yourself Jake walked in.

“She’s asleep” he said coming to you and hugging you from behind. He rested his head on your shoulder. “You okay?” with a smile no your lips you turned to face him. Pulled Jake in a kiss.

“I love you” you smiled at him. You meant every word.

“I love you too.” Jake leaned in and kissed you again. Even after all these years and having an amazing, beautiful daughter, you still both loved each other very much. Just like Jake said you fell in love with each other every time you saw each other.

Clexa Week 2017 Day 5 - Canon Divergence

Summary: After being shot by Titus, Lexa is visited by some familiar faces on her way into the afterlife who help her to realise that maybe there are things worth fighting against death for.

Read on AO3.

When she wakes up it no longer hurts. Not physically, anyway. Emotionally, Lexa feels a little bit like she’s been repeatedly attacked with a blunt sword – apparently dying does that to a person – but one glance down to her stomach is enough to tell her that the sticky black stain that spread across her front when the bullet entered her has disappeared. She touches the skin through the material of her shirt anyway, just to make sure, but there’s nothing, not even an inkling of her earlier pain.

As her fingertips brush over the area where the wound should be, it all comes flooding back. Her heart throbs painfully within her chest at the memory of Clarke standing over her dying body, hands applying pressure to her stomach, her face glistening with tears as she watches Lexa slowly slip away from her.

The tears sting in her own eyes and she tilts her head back as she tries to blink them away, unwilling even in death to show that weakness. A lump forms in her throat and she closes her eyes, wondering if she’s bound to this pain for the rest of eternity.

“She’ll be here too, after a while.”

Lexa’s eyes startle open at the voice and she gets to her feet, only to see a familiar figure walking towards her, dressed in her usual furs and with the recognisable swagger in her step.

don't you ever think about the fact we'll never see a scene between Jake and Bellamy? they would have gotten along fine. Bellamy called him Mr. Griffin when he met him, but Jake laughed and told him to call him by his name. They would have talked about books. Both of them loved reading and now they spend hours talking about literature. Jake would have seen how much he cares about Clarke and would have trusted him since the moment he found out he loves her (it didn't take him long to notice it)

Hi! Can you do number 13: Dancing for Jake and MC?

Thank you for the prompt, @xo-endlessmayhem-xo! This gotta a little out of control and ended up being way longer than I intended. I hope you enjoy it!

Closing up the hanger, Jake climbs onto his motorcycle and heads home. He guns the engine and takes off. The bike roars along the rough roads of the Costa Rican city he’s made his home.

Just over a year ago, they’d managed to escape the horror show that was La Huerta. Everything had gotten worse, so much worse, before it got any better. Even better was pretty goddamn awful. They’d lost people. Not one of them would ever be the same after what they’d gone through. And the icing on the whole shit storm was that he’d lost her. No, not lost her. He’d left her. He had wanted to do right by her. So he’d held her close, kissed her with everything he’d had in him, told her he loved her, that he’d always love her, and and then he’d left her. He’d been a coward and ran away in the night, leaving her alone. She deserved better than living her at the edge of the world with a wanted man. She had her whole life ahead of her and he wouldn’t tie her down because of his past.

Jake Gyllenhaal Imagine

When you got that horrible call your heart had dropped to your heel. You were now rushing to the hospital. Tears in your eyes and praying to God Jake was alright.

While you were doing some house stuff: washing dishes, cleaning the floor. You got a call from the hospital saying Jake was brought in, with open wounds. Someone had attacked him, but you couldn’t even think who could it be. Everyone loved Jake. He was the nicest guy there is. Finally at the hospital you ran to the nurse and in a panic filled voiced asked

“I was call saying my boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal was her. Can you tell me where he is?” the nurse saw the panic and tears in your eyes and quickly told you the room number. You ran down the halls looking for it when you found it, you stopped a the door. Imaging the worst. You were scared to walk in, but still did. When you opened the door you found Jake sitting on the bed with blood still in his face, cuts all over it, a big band aid in his forehead. Jake looked up then looked back down.

“Jake” you ran to his side, but was afraid to touch him. He look in pain and you didn’t wan to him him anymore pain by touching the wrong spot. “What happened?” Jake didn’t look at you by that you could tell that what happened wasn’t something he was proud of and even might have been the one to start it. You stood by Jake waiting for him to say something, and an answer nothing happened wasn’t going to do. “Jake” you called his name again and finally he spoke.

“I ran into Mike” you heart stopped. Mike was your ex. A guy you hated, a guy who broke your heart you never thought you would recover until you met Jake. Mike was the ex you wished yo had never had. Jake knew all about Mike, he also seen him before and every time he saw Mike, Jake wanted to kick his ass, but every time you were there to stop him. Not this time.

“So you saw him and just attacked?” that wasn’t something Jake would do, but seeing how he looked, that was your first idea.

“Not really” he said and looked back at his banged up hands.

“Then what happened?” you sat next to him, but didn’t touch him, still afraid to make him be in pain. It already looked like he was in pain every time he took a breath.

“He deserved it. We saw each other on the street. I was gonna walk by and do nothing, because I know you wouldn’t like it if I did or say something” Jake looked at you to see if you were already angry at him. But you just listened to him only showing how sad you are to see him like this. “I walked past him and he opened his damn mouth. Started to insult me and I was okay with that. He couldn’t have done that all they but then he started to say horrible things about you. So I lost it. The things he said were just horrible” Jake turned his body to you. “I couldn’t let him speak like that about you” he took your hand and held it looking deep in your eyes.

“Do you have any broken bones?” your question surprised Jake. He looked at himself then back at you.

“No, just some cuts. He might have some broken bones” before Jake could laugh at what he said you cupped his cheeks and pulled him in for a kiss. You weren’t okay with violence , but Jake was defended you. You knew what kind of a guy Mike was.

“You’re not angry?” Jake said after breaking the kiss.

“I’m upset you had to fight, I’m sad you have all these injuries, but everything will be fine. I’m just happy you are some what okay” you smiled at Jake, You loved that man so much. Thanks to him you knew what love was and that it wasn’t with pain and yelling.

“Hey man, you want a beer?” Jake sat in a beach lounge chair directly next to the one Aleister had sat down on, Jake leaning backwards, his hand extended, and Aleister sitting straight upwards.

“Beer? Are you insane? A liquified murderous substance that shouldn’t even be legal? Pardon me, but no, I would not like a beer,” Aleister scowled.

“More for me,” Jake chuckled setting one down near him and downing the other, “So, I saw you talking to Grace.”

“And? Please get to the point, Jacob,” Aleister prodded, turning his gaze away from Jake.

“And, you totally like her. Why don’t you just tell her?” Jake chuckled, as if stating the obvious, and shut his eyes in a state of bliss as the breeze washed coldly over him providing a welcomed contrast to the heat of the sun.

“You’re one to talk,” Aleister scoffed, “Why don’t you just tell MC? Don’t even deny your feelings towards them.”

“I–” Jake went to talk and then sighed, “Whatever. At least I’m trying to woo them first, all you do with Grace is get mad at her.”

“Do not,” Aleister denied quickly, “You’re not even wooing MC, they probably don’t even have a clue.”

“I’m sure they do,” Jake smirked and then rose his hands up in defense, “But I’m sorry for wanting to help you out by proving I could relate to what you’re going through.”

“Hmph,” Aleister chuckled, “For once something you’ve said makes sense.”

“Thanks?” Jake laughed, “Oh, who are we kidding. It’ll take a miracle for them to like us.”

Aleister sighed deeply and then stood, “I’m going to go find Grace. I’m ready to tell her how I feel.”

“Go get her, tiger,” Jake chuckled, staying where he was.

“Tige–?” He was going to ask and then cut himself off, “Whatever. Aren’t you going to tell MC?”

“Sooner or later,” Jake shrugged.

“I never thought I’d have to give you a motivational speech, but you should go tell them,” Aleister admitted.

Jake finally admitted defeat and nodded, “I suppose that if you even have to tell me that it’s long overdue than it must be long overdue.”

The One With Jake

Pairing: Alec Lightwood x Reader

Summary: You and Alec had been friends for a long time but when you start going out with Jake, Alec begins to drift away and become someone you barely know. It’s only when it comes to protecting you from getting hurt that Alec realizes what he really wants.

A/N: I know it’s been a while so here is an 8 page alec fic to make up for it! i won’t even split it up into two parts!!!

MASTERLIST, MOBILE MASTERLIST (you can like it and save it for later!)

“What’s going on?” Alec asks, his arms crossed over his chest. Even he had to stand on his tip toes to see over the large crowd gathered around the common room.

“You’re asking me? You can’t even see and you’re a giraffe,” Jace scoffs, nudging him lightly, causing him to stumble out of balance.

“Jake is asking y/n out,” Isabelle’s voice interrupts the two of them as she appears by their side.

“Who is Jake, again?” Jace asks and Isabelle rolls her eyes, “The hot new transfer from the Idris institute, the one who arrived with our mother? Don’t pretend you didn’t notice.”

Alec rolls his eyes, “Some of us are too busy to notice who comes in and out of the Institute,” he growls, “Plus, he’s wasting his time, there’s no way y/n will say yes.”

Just as the words leave his mouth, a collective ‘awww’ resonates from the group.

“You sure about that?” Isabelle teases, pushing through the crowd and dragging you out. Your cheeks are tinted pink as Jace wiggles his brows at you, “Are those for me?” he point to the flowers you held in one arm and then at the stuffed bear in the other.

“N-no,” you stammer as your eyes settle on Alec who wears an unsettled expression, “You okay?” you ask him and he shrugs, “I have to get to practice.”

“I’ll join you,” you smile, making your way towards on him.

“On second thought, I might go take a shower.”

His strides are much longer than your own, so before you can argue, he’s already exiting the common room.

“What’s up with him?” you grumble and Jace stares at you with an amused expression, “Like you don’t know.”

You stare at him and his jaw drops, “You can’t be that oblivious!”

“What?” you half laugh, turning to Isabelle who bites her lip, “He likes you y/n.”

Her words hang in the air, daunting you, “You’re being ridiculous,” you laugh, “He doesn’t like me.”

Both Jace and Isabelle remain silent and you tug at your shirt, “He doesn’t like me,” you repeat firmly, following after Alec. By the time you reach his room, he’s already in the shower and you flop onto his bed, burying your face in his pillow.

“Y/N?” his voice startles you and you jump, sitting up straight. There’s a towel hanging low around his hips, his toned abs distracting you from his face.

“Eyes up here,” he teases and you roll your eyes, “Shut up.”

You both laugh lightly and he clears his throat, “What are you doing up here?”

“What was with you downstairs, what’s going on?” you ask, hesitantly.

“Just tired I guess. That shower made me feel better.” His smile is warm and friendly, just as you had always known it.

“Great,” you grin. You weren’t sure if it was relief you felt, but whatever it was, it showed.

“Why’d you say it like that?”

“Hmm? Nothing,” you mumble, absentmindedly. Alec gives you a pointed look and you slump, “It’s just, Isabelle seems to think…”

“Think what?”

“Think you like me,” you pause, “As more than a friend.”

Alec bites his lip before letting out a burst of laughter, “Yeah right,” he chuckles.

You laugh nervously, “Yeah – yeah, it was stupid. I know.”

Alec sits down beside you, ruffling your hair playfully, “Isabelle sure is creative.”

You felt an ache in your chest, though you weren’t sure why it was there. And then a moment later, you did.

“Is it really that crazy? You and I?”

Alec barely looks at you, his gaze fixated on the wall, “I mean, yeah, don’t you think?”

It is only after a long piecing silence that he looks at you, “I don’t like you like that,” he laughs, unaware of the pain it causes you. You want to force a smile but you can’t.

“You’re sure? You have no problem with Jake and me?”

Alec puts an arm around your shoulder, “Y/N, I have never, nor will I ever, see you like that.”

You doubt there’s more to it than that but you slowly nod, finally forcing a smile, “Okay…”

Alec pats your back, “Now up, up, up. I have to get ready.”

“Right. The party tonight.”

Isabelle liked to throw a huge party every time the Clave called a meeting which occurred at least once a month. Once all the adults left, they had the entire Institute to themselves for a night and Isabelle always made the best of it.

“And if I were you, I’d put in some effort. Wouldn’t want to lose that pretty boy of yours already, James, was it?”

“Jake,” you correct him.

You scramble out of the doorway, a heavy blush setting across your cheeks as you realize that not only had you just got turned down by Alec but you were actually upset by it.

It had been an entire three months since you and Jake had started dating and you and Alec had never been more distant. There was no fight, or argument, you just grew apart. He found a girlfriend, actually, girlfriends. New ones, every week or so.

“Who is that?”

You and Isabelle had headed down to Pandemonium for drinks, only to find Alec cuddling up to a gorgeous blonde, one who made you revaluate your black jeans and t-shirt in comparison to her expensive, red, satin dress.

“Don’t know, don’t care. I’ve long given up on keeping up with who he’s going out with,” Isabelle mumbles, taking a sip of her drink.

“Maybe we should go say hi,” you suggest innocently and Isabelle raises a brow, “I don’t think he’d want to be…interrupted,” she smirks, nodding towards him. They were making out. You were almost certain he had lost his tongue in her throat the way they were going at it.

You adjusted your t-shirt a little before strutting over and clearing your throat. That didn’t do it so you slowly slide the girls drink off the side of the table, letting it collapse onto her lap. She shoots straight up and you pretend to look shocked, “Better go rinse that off before it sets,” you advise her.

She runs off, looking elegant as ever despite being covered in sticky liquid.

“Hey stranger,” you smile, taking a seat next to him. He shuffles over slightly so your knees are no longer touching. You weren’t sure if it was intentional but you notice.

“Why did you do that?” he asks and you stare at him blankly, faking innocence, “Do what?”

Alec smirks knowingly, “Oh please.”

He was cockier than usual. A permanent smirk was plastered across his face and there was something behind his eyes, teasing and taunting you.

“Well, who is she?” you ask, trying to sound cheery.

“She’s uh – that’s-“ he rubs the back of his neck before shrugging, “Who knows.”

You try to bite your tongue, but your mind outwits you, “This isn’t like you.”

Alec’s expression hardens, “And you think you know me?”

“I mean, I do, don’t I? And this isn’t… your thing. I mean she’s gorgeous, all of them are,” you state, referring as kindly as possible to all the girls he had screwed over in the past three months, “But you’re not that guy that hurts girls that care for you.”

“You’re right, I’m the guy who gets hurt by girls I care about.”

He stands up abruptly and you slide out of the booth as he storms towards the bar. Isabelle makes her way to you, looking over her shoulder concernedly at Alec, “What happened?”

“I have no idea,” you mumble, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

“Hey beautiful,” Jakes voice is loud over the music. He presses a kiss to your cheek, “Sorry I’m late, I had something to take care of.”

“Was that ‘something’ hooking up with the newest trainee at the Institute?” Alec spits, shoving Jake out of the way as he places his drink on the booth table as he returns from the bar.

“Alec!” you shout, surprised and disgusted by his sudden rudeness. You were so close to him you could smell the alcohol in his breath, “He’s drunk,” you mumble to Isabelle.

“You not going to tell her, man?” he asks Jake who smiles awkwardly, “I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Alec, you need to back off,” you say warningly. Alec laughs darkly, scowling at Jake as the two of you walk away. You come to a stop outside the club.

“You have to stop talking to him,” Jake states blankly.

“Oh, come on, he’s drunk, cut him some slack,” you laugh, wrapping your arms around his waist, “He’s my best friend.”

“Was – he was your best friend. The two of you have barely spoken in months.”

“Yeah but-“

“No, y/n, no. No more talking to him.”

“I can’t do that,” you sigh. You press a kiss to his lips but he pulls away, “Well why don’t you come talk to me when you can?”

Before you can stop him, he’s climbing onto his bike and speeding off. Just then Alec brushes past you, turning around to give you his infamous scowl before wrapping his arm around the blonde’s waist and disappearing.

“Fucking awesome,” you grumble as you reach the Institute, only to find Alec sitting outside.

You trudge past him on the steps and he catches your ankle, sending you tumbling into his arms. You quickly rush out of them, standing up and trying to look more confident than you felt.

“Sorry,” he chuckles. He looks lighter now and more sober.

He looks at you knowingly, “You know what.”

“I really fucking don’t,” you sigh, walking into the institute. He jogs behind you to catch up, “I didn’t mean to embarrass you like that.”

You keep walking but Alec’s legs are much longer than your own. “Come to my room. For a minute.”

It had been months since you had been in Alec’s room. You missed lying in bed together, complaining about anything and everything.

“No,” you state. Alec pulls you alongside him to his room.

You could’ve tried harder to get away, but you didn’t.

“Sit,” he smiles. He fishes through his drawers before pulling out an album. The both of you sit against the pillows, close enough to feel like you were still friends but far enough that there was still something unfamiliar between the two of you.

“We were so cute,” you smile, looking at a photo of the two of you at age six.

“Times were simpler when Jake wasn’t around,” he laughs nervously. “Cut it out,” you groan.

“Jake doesn’t even want me talking to you after tonight.”

Alec sits up straighter, “So you’re going to stop talking to me?”

“N-no, I just-“ you pause, studying his expression, “Why are you smiling like that?”

“Nothing it’s just, the great girlfriend y/n, is going against her perfect boyfriends wishes.”

“It’s not funny to me – this isn’t a joke to me.”

“I’m sorry,” he slips an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him and you rest your head on his shoulder.

“It sucks. It all sucks. I hate fighting with him.”

“You deserve better.”

“He’s a great guy,” you smile. You look up to face Alec who is already staring at you and then, within a blink, he presses his lips to yours. It takes you a moment to understand what was happening but as soon as you do, you pull away. You jump further back away from him, running your fingers through your hair.

“Why did you have to do that?”

“Y/N, I-“

“Why did you do that?!”

“I just –“ he sucks in a deep breath, “He cheated on you. I saw him kiss that new girl and I –“

“And you what?! Thought you’d add me to the long list of girls you’ve hooked up with? No – fuck you.”

“No, that’s not it!”

“You know, I asked you. I asked you if you liked me 3 months ago and you said no. And you said it like it was the craziest thing in the world. And so I went out with Jake despite knowing I wanted to be with you.”

“I wanted to be with you too, I just, we were friends and I didn’t-“

“Well we aren’t even that much anymore,” you spit, “Don’t ever come near us again.”

You don’t reply. You slam the door and run before you hear anything that’ll make you look more pathetic than you already do.

Alec wakes up to the sound of Jace yelling excitedly and dragging him out of the warmth of his sheets, “You’re going to love this.”

Alec felt the cold air hit his body but had no time to adjust as he was dragged downstairs to the training area. His eyes widened a the sight of you pinning Jake to the floor in a position that even the word ‘painful’ didn’t describe.

“What happened?”

“Wouldn’t have a clue,” Jace chuckles, “We better get her off him, he is literally black and blue.”

“Hodge can handle that,” Alec laughs, leaning against the counter.

By the time Hodge pulls you off him, Jake can barely catch his breath and you can’t help but feel a little proud.

“So you caught him cheating then?”

You stare at Alec, “Nope, I just took your word for it.”

“Why is that?”

“Because I know you’d never try to hurt me like that.”

“So are we good?”

“Yeah, we’re good.”

It was a lie. You weren’t – you could never be. He had kissed you and you hadn’t let him explain why. Bringing it up now would be weird which left you both in an awkward position.

“Okay, cool, I’ll see you tonight then?”

“Isabelle’s monthly party?”

“Right – I think I’ll pass.”

When the clock hits nine, the sound of the party could be heard outside. This was no help for you, when you were trying to drown out the noise upstairs.

“Debussy?” Alec asks, listening to your music intently in the doorway, “Yeah, mixed in with Kanye West if you don’t shut my door,” you laugh. He pulls it close behind himself.

“That wasn’t an invite for you to stay.”

“Sounded like one to me.”

You roll your eyes.

“You okay?”

He was wringing his hands, still standing with his back against the door.

“Yeah, the noise is just really loud if you leave the door-“

“No, I mean about Jake.”

“I guess. I mean that was three months of my life wasted, but other than that.”

“So you weren’t in love with him?”

“Oh, god no,” you laugh. It was funny when you thought about it. You had said yes to Jake only because he had asked in front of a crowd, but you both grew closer and you fell for him, you weren’t in love but maybe you could have been.

“And what about with me?”

“What about you?”

“Are you in love with me?”

“No…” you laugh nervously, looking back down at your book. Alec plucks it out of your grasp and tosses it away from you, “Don’t lie.”

“I’m not lying.”

“Y/n,” he says softly, settling down beside you, “I think after all these years I can say confidently that I know when you’re lying.”

You furrow your brows together, “Well, are you in love with me?”

He says it so quickly – without consideration.

“I always have been and I always will be and just admit it - you are too,” he nudges you playfully.

“I will not,” you laugh, nudging him back. Alec places your hand in his and traces his thumb over your knuckles, “I don’t want to waste any more time – I don’t want us to waste any more time. Seeing you with Jake was the most pain I’ve felt in my life.”

“Really? Worse than that time the demon got-“

“Worse than that,” he cuts you off, rolling his eyes, “All those girls, as wonderful as they were, they weren’t you. No one is.”

“That is true,” you turn to face him, shifting so you’re sitting cross-legged, “But maybe you were right back then. Maybe us going out is too weird. I mean it’s us… what happens when we break up?”

“Honestly… I don’t think we ever will,” he says softly. He inches closer to your face, stopping so close to your lips you feel like your heart’s going to burst, “I mean it’s us,” he whispers before closing the space between the two of you. You wished you could’ve stayed like that forever.

“HOLY SHIT!” Jace exclaims in the doorway, “IZZY YOU HAVE TO COME SEE THIS!”

“Jace,” you groan, covering your face with your hands. Alec, however, looked more proud than embarrassed.

Isabelle appears in the doorway and looks between the two of you, “They did not.”

“They did,” Jace leers, “Finally.”

Isabelle walks over and begins to smack Alec with a pillow, “SERIOUSLY?! OF ALL THE GIRLS?! MY BEST FRIEND?! DID YOU RUN OUT OF GIRLS TO SCREW OVER?!”

“It’s not like that,” he grimaces, rubbing his arm as he snatches the pillow away from her, “We’re dating – we love each other.”

Jace face palms, “Did you already profess your love? Dude – what happened to playing the field? Letting y/n work for it after she picked Jake and all that?”

You stare between Alec and Jace as you stand up, “You knew he liked me?” you poke a finger into Jace’s chest, “And you knew he was hooking up with all those girls to get over me?!”

“Uhhhhh,” Jace looks around in panic, “I, uh – I – it was just an idea – I didn’t think he’d actually do it!”

Jace bites his lips and holds his hands out in front of him as you walk towards him, “You’re dead, Wayland,” you growl. Just as you’re about to rush after him, Alec pulls you back.

“Later,” he presses a kiss to your neck as he hugs you from behind, “We have a lot of catching up to do.”

41 for Jake mc 😲♥️

41: “I’m pregnant”.

She sat on Michelle’s bed as the girl examined her with a critical eye, lips set into a frown. Grace stood farther away, shifting her weight from one leg to the other, eyes worried at the silence of the pre-med student.

The one with a pink shirt moved her gaze towards Iris, and so did the other two females in the room. “Weight increase detected. Combined with her symptoms of fatigue, nausea, frequent urination and sore breasts, signs indicate that the source of them is most likely a pregnancy”. The hologram informed with a smile.

Grace let out a gasp at Iris’ report, while Michelle remained calm and moved her gaze back to her. Standing, she sat on the bed and held her hand, drawing small patterns on it in a comforting manner. “How likely is it, Iris?” The sorority girl asked.

“There’s an 89% possibility”. The blue woman answered after a moment. “If a sample of blood is presented, I can verify whether she’s pregnant or not”.

Finally snapping from her trance, the girl suffering from nausea grabbed the pocket knife secured by her belt and poked her finger with the blade, hard enough to draw out a small amount of blood and allowing Iris to scan it.

“Pregnancy confirmed, congratulations!” Iris chimed minutes later, oblivious to what it meant for any girl to be carrying a child in the situation they were going through.

The lady gripped Michelle’s hand tighter at the news, her breathing becoming more shallow at the hologram’s words. “I’m pregnant”. She choked out, her words not above a whisper.

Sometimes, when she couldn’t sleep and the stars shone brightly, she’d sit by the shore and think about what her future with Jake looked like. She thought about what their lives would be like if they weren’t trapped on the island or if he didn’t a bounty on his head. She thought about little children running around a patio, blue eyes like their father’s and their ringing laughter as her husband and her played with them. She had thought about those things, but they were mere illusions, something that wasn’t supposed to become real.

And those things wouldn’t become real either. She might be carrying her and Jake’s baby, but the child wouldn’t have the life it deserved. Hell, it might not even be born if she had to keep on fighting and running for her life the way she had been doing so since they stepped a foot in La Huerta.

“Are you going to tell Jake?” Grace questioned, ripping her away from her thoughts.

“Are you even going to keep it?” Michelle asked, voice and eyes soft, void of judgment as she made her inquiry.
