you rescued me

youtube

I found this kitty in the street, so cold and hungry she was shivering, trying to figure out if she could eat a cigarette butt. I brought her inside, fed her, got her nice and warm, and now she’s the happiest girl alive??

Can anyone in the NYC area give her a home? We have two cats already, and as much as I’d love to keep her, we don’t really have room for a third. She looks about 4-5 months old, and seems perfectly healthy, other than being underweight: although of course a visit to the vet would not go amiss! She is MISSING HER TAIL, it is just a little two inch nub that wiggles around furiously and is the Cutest Goddamned Thing I’ve ever seen.

Here’s what I can tell you about her after looking after her for a couple of days: she is curious and affectionate, eager to bond with any human who looks her way. She is comfortable being picked up. She is very gentle: even when playing, there are no teeth or claws! She is timid of other cats, but not aggressive or terrified, so I think with a little patience she could definitely be a happy part of a multi-kitty home.

Please be her Christmas miracle! I really don’t want to have to bring her to a shelter. This little girl has been through enough, and deserves to have a home for the holidays.

UPDATE 12/18: Lil MOCHA has gone to her new home! Thank you so much to everyone who helped to spread the word about this kitty who needed a miracle. The temperature dropped here in NYC right after we took her in, down to the teens, and she might not have made it through the week. But now she’s gone to the home of a loving cat mom who lost her own kitty to old age less than a month ago; so I think she needed Mocha as much as Mocha needed her!

I am going to miss her, but I know she will be ridiculously happy in her new home. Happy holidays, everybody!

I’m not going to write about all the times you screwed me over.
I’m not going to make you out to be this bad person.
Because at some point you were what was right for me.
You rescued me when I was lost.
You helped me win the battles with my demons.
You made me feel beautiful.
And when you looked at me, I knew I mattered.
Those are the memories I will remember you by
At some point in time, you did love me.

So no, I won’t hate you
For outgrowing me
For lying
For leaving
But I’m not going to pretend I’m ok with it either…

One Piece ワンピース [Water 07 Saga / Enies Lobby Arc] : Cipher Pol Number 09 (CP9) vs The Straw Hat Pirates

Nico Robin : “First with Aokiji..and now, I’ve involved you twice! If this is to continue forever, no matter how kind and compassionate you all are…someday, it will be too much of a burden. Someday, you’ll betray me and cast me aside! That’s my greatest fear.. That’s why I didn’t want you to come rescue me! If I’m going to die someday anyway..I want to die here!
Chief Spandam : “I see, that makes perfect sense! Hahaha! Look at that symbol Straw Hats! It represents the unity of more than 170 nations…it represents the World! Do you realize how frivolous your resistance is?! Do you understand the sheer power of the organization that is after this one woman?!
Captain “Straw Hat” Luffy : “I totally get who Robin’s enemy is. Sogeking. Shoot down that flag.
“Sogeking” Usopp : “Roger. Hissatsu Firebird Star!”
Chief Spandam : Are you crazy?! Do you really think you can survive now that the entire world is your enemy??
Captain “Straw Hat” Luffy : “Bring it on!! Robin! I still haven’t heard it from your lips! Say that you want to live!!”
Nico Robin : *Live? I didn’t think I could wish for that. No one..ever allowed me to wish it. If it’s really okay..to make one little wish..I..*  “I WANT TO LIVE!!”
Captain “Straw Hat” Luffy : *heh* “Let’s go!”

A.U. where CP9 are secret paramilitary police like the Nazi SS & the Straw Hats are a (gang) crew in high school. My 2nd all-time favorite moment in One Piece! The Water 07 Saga was a superbly written storyline in OP. The twist of the Cipher Pol Number 09 members, the story of Cutty Flam & Shipwright Tom, and the clashes between the two groups blew me away. The Enies Lobby arc also revealed the Straw Hats in their peak conditions, very similar to the “Sasuke Recovery Mission Arc” from Naruto, these are my favorite kinds of arcs when you get to see many key characters fight to their full potential. Nico Robin was such a beautifully written character and her backstory was precious. I’m kind of sad to see her thrown on the backlines in the New World because she deserves better. Also, Sogeking was a huge development for Usopp, really pushed his character forward in the series. And of course, Blueno vs Luffy & Rob Lucci vs Luffy were some of the best fights in the series. Gear 2nd!

: Haikyuu!! - Makko Shobu

“Jack, I need you to rescue me.” Bitty clutches his phone tightly, trying to keep it steady.

“Bittle? What’s going on? Where are you?”

Bitty looks out the door at the rain. It’s fat and heavy and he can barely make out the cars he knows are parked a few metres away in the lot.

“I was baking a pie, but Holster had finished all the eggs at breakfast without telling me. He’s done it before–finished the eggs, that is–but he told me last time. So I had the flour on the bench, and spices, and I opened the fridge and–because there was no note, Jack so–”

“Bits?” Jack interrupts. “I need you to do something, okay? For me?”

“Oh. Okay, Jack.”

“Great. Take a deep breath.”

The air is freezing at the entrance, with the doors opening and closing as other shoppers walk in and out. Bitty opens his mouth and does it anyway.

“Good job. Now slowly let it out.”

Bitty blows out and he swears he can see his breath cloud in front of him even though he’s inside.

“Once more,” says Jack, “then tell me where you are.”

In. Out. “Murder Stop n Shop.”

“Thank god.”

“What, why?” Bitty asks, confused and shivery as a gust of wind comes in. “Jack. That’s not good. It’s raining so darn much and I’ve got no umbrella and too many groceries. I can’t afford to let these things get wet.”

“Look to your left.”

Bitty turns his head to see–as best he can in this weather–the pathway leading to the store.

There’s Jack. Walking through the torrential downpour with a massive, blue umbrella, and his phone to his ear.

“You just "rescued” me from a dragon, and you look so proud, but that dragon is actually my best friend. Oops.“ Au

“I’m a mermaid/merman, and you’ve fallen in love with my voice. How do I break it to you that you don’t actually love me, you’re just enchanted?” Au

“I’m an alchemist, and you’re my ever-so-patient assistant who finds me the random ingredients I ask for, I really need to find a way to thank you.” Au

“I’m half-dragon, and I’ve always hidden that from everyone, but now you know, and somehow, you don’t think it’s awful? And you’re touching my scales? And asking me to roast you marshmallows? I can’t decide if I’m relieved or annoyed.” Au

“You’ve been my best friend for years, and I can tell you anything, right? Good, because I sort of stole a dragon egg.” Au

“You and I were sent on a quest together by the king, but now we’re horribly lost, and I’m fairly certain this quest was just meant to kill us.” Au

“It doesn’t matter if I get my memories back or not, I know you: You’ll come find me again, you’ll come rescue me no matter what happens. You’ll come for me, and I’ll discover you all over again. I love you. I love you without the memories. I love you right now.” - Cassandra Clare, Born To Endless Night

  • ESTJ: Are you trying to rescue me? I don't need rescued, I got this. STOP TOUCHING ME!!!
  • INTJ: Your hands are cold. *squeezes them tightly for a few seconds* OK, that's a more optimal temperature. *lets go*

  • ISTJ: I'm not sure why we need to be making physical contact... please stop.
  • INFP: Let me cry, let me love you, let me hold your hand until death do us part. Or until my cat needs me... I might also snag that bottle of tequila while I'm feeling these emotions...
