you must be very proud of yourself

The Third House - The House of Communication

This is the third part of a twelve part series briefly explaining how the signs work in each house. Enjoy!

The Third House is known as the house of communication because it is in this house where we learn to speak with our conscious. Our communication skills in this sense are deep rooted because the things we say impulsively can be a reflection of how we grew up. Another aspect of this house is intelligence. Essentially, the third house represents how we use our communication skills to spread our knowledge and make an impact within our environment. In the third house we asks ourselves, “How do we best state our case with others, often those we love the most? Will our actions be true to our environment, and our planet, for all time?”

Aries in the Third House: As a doer, you speak with your actions. You are not afraid to take initiative of your own life sometimes refusing the help of others because you can be too impatient. You come up with great ideas and are very expressive in sharing them. Learn that it takes time to get something done, not everything has to be rushed. Patience is a virtue when it comes to communicating and sharing ideas with others.

Taurus in the Third House: You use your materials and finances as a means to communicatively express yourself. You like to learn about how to continuously increase your wealth so this would have an influence on the people you spend your time talking to. Like the bull, you are stubborn with other people’s ideas, try not to quickly shut them down just because they don’t seem right to you.

Gemini in the Third House: This is a natural placement since Mercury rules the Third House and with it, Gemini and Virgo. Knowledge and wit will come easily to you, and you will have a great capability of sharing it with others. You are highly intellectual and creative, showing a constant interest in learning new things to keep your mind occupied. Because of this, you tend to leave things undone.

Cancer in The Third House: Overthinking and intellectualizing your emotions is a common thing you do. Your emotions are important to you so they affect the way you speak to people and who you choose to speak with. Since you can be highly emotional you wish to speak to those who  only make you feel nurtured and protected. However, you must learn to push away from these emotional limitations and not let them affect your journey of self discovery.

Leo in the Third House: You are very critical in your self-expression. The knowledge you search for is of the kind that will help you shine your light on others. Like the proud lion you are you can be stubborn about what is right or wrong, almost always believing that your right is the truth. However, if you can learn to set your pride aside, you may find yourself collaborating well with others since you are able to enthusiastically share your creative ideas.

Virgo in the Third House: Logical and rational as the Virgo is, this placement brings forth many anxious feelings. You tend to overthink every part of your life, constantly trying to think of ways to be the most efficient. Because of this, you have some of the greatest ideas, but you get too critical to the point where you over think your ideas, bringing you to a halt. Learn to communicate with others for help and you will see that you can achieve many great things once you share your ideas.

Libra in the Third House: Using your natural charm, you are able to smoothly communicate with others. This helps you network because you have a calm presence that makes you attractive in a way that people are comfortable with you. You are unbiased and want to feel balanced, so you tend to not take sides but stay neutral. You can also be artistic in the way you talk so you may find yourself communicating through music, writing, or painting.

Scorpio in the Third House: The way you communicate with others is very dark and brooding. You are forceful because you are passionate in what you believe. You tend to force your opinions on others because you want them to see what you see, often finding yourself frustrated. Learn that you must share your acquired knowledge in a selfless way and think more for mankind and how you can help everyone.

Sagittarius in the Third House: If there’s one thing you want to expand, it’s your mind. Sagittarians are known for seeking adventure and exploring new places, so it only makes sense that the way you communicate and acquire knowledge is going to be very abstract. Education is important to you so you will find yourself tackling on more than one subject, for example, going back to school to major in something else. Explore your mind selflessly and remember that it’s helpful to search for knowledge to help others and not just yourself.

Capricorn in the Third House: Slow and steady is the Capricorn in this placement. You take your time and there is nothing wrong with that, you just learn at a different speed than others. However, this might cause you to become introverted so you tend to not communicate well. You are more interested in finding out how to achieve your goals but struggle in putting these ideas into actions. You must remember that in order to fully achieve your goals you need to communicate with the people around you and do the things you aim for.

Aquarius in the Third House: You are very idealistic and out of this world with the views and beliefs you express to people. Sometimes you come off as an extremist because you feel very strongly about your beliefs although people are more interested in the now and not so much the future. You do well in gathering groups and networking, but when doing this, do not forget to stand up for your ideas because although a little out of other people’s element, that just might be the idea everyone is searching for.

Pisces in the Third House: Intuition is a strong trait of yours. So much so, that sometimes it wins over logical arguments. Your mind ranges far with fantasy and this is expressed in the way you communicate. You can be vague, quiet, and stick to creatively writing your thoughts instead of sharing them with people. It is also important to resurface and gather your dream-like thoughts back to reality. Overall, you have a mind full of wisdom that others can trust because of how impressively intuitive you are.

Back then, when you were nothing but a naive teenager, you used to dream about true love, wondering every single night, whilst watching the stars, how it would feel like once you met him. Would you recognise the one right away? Or it would take some time for you to realise it? Man, you were one hell of a weird kid.

However, your questions would only be entirely answered years later, in the exactly moment Elijah Mikaelson walked into your life.

Dear Caroline,

Firstly, I would like to say that I’m sorry for breaking my promise of staying away, but after finding out that you had come to New Orleans, I’ve decided to risk your fury and hope that you might forgive me for reaching out just this once.

Secondly, I’d like to apologize for not being there to help you when you needed me. I’ll forever regret not having been able to keep you safe, but I deeply appreciate your faith me and the fact that you knew that I would’ve done everything in my power to protect you and your children, because it is true. I treasure your trust and can only hope that it has not been broken beyond repair and that you can forgive me for disappointing you.

Thirdly, I must say that Josie and Lizzie are very lovely children and I can promise you that I was on my best behaviour around them at all times – as I will always be, should I ever meet them again.

Which brings me to my final point.

I am well aware that your plans of the life you wanted to have took many unexpected turns and you now find yourself in a different place than you had originally envisioned, but I must say that I am very proud to see that you are finally allowing yourself to explore all of your potential. You have accomplished many things, sweetheart, and you’ll accomplish many more.

This is my way of suggesting that you accomplish them here in New Orleans.

You will find no city in greater need of assistance for their supernatural community. There are werewolves, witches and vampires that could use your help – I could use your help in reestablishing my kingdom.

Many years ago, I said you weren’t ready for New Orleans, I am optimistic that we could now revisit this conversation, but, regardless of your decision, my doors will always be open for you and your family.

I told you that I would wait and I will continue do so for as long as it takes for you to decide that you’re willing to have me in your life permanently – be it a year, a century or a millennium.

We do have forever, after all.

                                                                                              Eternally yours,

Garrett and Marian - Legacy Banters
  • Marian: Well... not quite how I imagined this family reunion going. I was envisioning more hugs and maybe some wine over dinner. Not attempted assassinations
  • Carver: Really? You think this is so abnormal for our family?
  • Marian: Well you got me there
  • ---
  • Bethany: What could our father have to do with this mess? The Carta have had more than enough time to try and find us
  • Garrett: I imagine that having two Champions of Kirkwall with the last name Hawke may have tipped them off
  • Bethany: But it's been three years since you and sis defeated the Arishok. Why wait that long?
  • Marian: Well I don't know about you, but if I was going to go after the people who killed an Arishok then I'd probably want to make a little time for planning, wouldn't you?
  • Carver: Do these morons strike you as the sensible type?
  • Marian: Two points in one day Carver? Don't tell me the Templars are actually drilling some wit into that skull of yours
  • Carver: *laughs* At least /my/ wit makes a point, dear sister
  • Bethany: Ooh, that had to hurt
  • Garrett: Do you need some healing for that one, Marian?
  • Marian: Oh shove off, all of you
  • ---
  • Garrett: And we're back in the Deep Roads
  • Marian: Oh it's not that bad. I mean... Look at all the... Ugh, no, you're right this is terrible. Let's all promise never to go to the Deep Roads after this. Three times is enough
  • Garrett: Three times? When was the second?
  • Marian: Um... well...
  • Carver and Bethany: *sing song voices* Somebody's in trouble
  • ---
  • Bethany: Varric wrote to me the other day
  • Garrett: Telling another of his stories, I bet. Was it the one about the high dragon, because that didn't really-
  • Bethany: No. He was giving me an update. On you, actually. I was... worried, so I wrote to him and asked
  • Garrett: I'm fine Beth. Really
  • Bethany: No you're not. Not yet. But I know you, and if anyone can get past it, you can
  • Garrett: Thank you
  • ---
  • Carver: You might want to be watch yourself, Garrett
  • Garrett: How come?
  • Carver: Ever since you sided with Orsino the other day, there's been... Rumours. Meredith isn't happy with you, and it's only because she allows it that you're still free
  • Garrett: So is she going to have me dragged to the Circle, or is she getting the Brand ready now?
  • Fenris: Don't say that
  • Carver: I would never let it get that far. But I thought I'd warn you, just in case you were thinking about making her mad
  • Garrett: I appreciate you telling me Carver. Don't worry. I'll be careful
  • ---
  • *after completing Malcolm's Will*
  • Marian: So... the stonework down here is... lovely, isn't it?
  • Carver: Not now, Mary
  • Marian: I was only... Alright
  • ---
  • Marian: Are you okay, Gary?
  • Garrett: I'm fine... Just...
  • Marian: He loved you. And Bethany. He'd be so proud of you
  • Garrett: You sound so sure of that
  • Marian: Of course I am. Because it's true. And don't let that nasty shit in your head tell you otherwise - it's a liar, remember
  • Garrett: *chuckles* Alright
  • Bethany: Be careful sister, people might think you've got a heart after all
  • Marian: *dramatically* Oh no! *clutches chest* I think... I think I'm getting feelings! Quick, someone beat them out of me!
  • Carver: *laughs* You be careful what you wish for sister
  • Isabela: I'd rather ride them out of you
  • Garrett: Ah, and there's the dirty line. I was starting to worry something was wrong Bela
  • Isabela: And you're as sweet as ever, Garrett
  • ---
  • Varric: Twenty silvers, that's my final offer. Take it or leave it Elf
  • Marian: What are you betting on, and why am I getting left out of it?
  • Varric: You want in? We're betting on what it'll take to get Junior and Waffles to hug
  • Garrett: *groans* You're not calling me 'Waffles' again, are you?
  • Varric: I have to. Every time I say 'Hawke' all four of you turn around. I'm being considerate
  • Carver: I bet there's /someone/ here who'd like to see him covered in syrup
  • Garrett: Carver!
  • Fenris: *embarrassed noises*
  • Isabela: Ooh, new friend-fiction idea!
  • Garrett: Don't you even dare!
  • Isabela: Too late, already dared. Can we make camp? I need to make notes
  • ---
  • Varric: Hey, Rivaini, I'm expecting royalties if that friend-fiction of yours gets published
  • Carver: When you didn't even come up with it?
  • Varric: You wouldn't have brought up syrup if I didn't call him Waffles
  • Garrett: Maker save me...
  • Bethany: And me...
  • Marian: Usually I like dirty things... But this is too far, even for me
  • Isabela: Are you saying you wouldn't like it if /I/ were covered in syrup?
  • Marian: Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realise you were my very hairy twin brother, Bela
  • Isabela: Well when you put it that way...
  • ---
  • Isabela: I always thought we were the loud ones, you know
  • Fenris: What?
  • Marian: I know right. Maybe they're just less shy about it now
  • Garrett: Do I want to know?
  • Isabela: You already know. Or did you deafen yourself?
  • Marian: To think, they don't need us shouting encouragement through the wall anymore. I'm so proud
  • Isabela: Our boys are growing up so fast. Maybe next they'll master foreplay
  • Carver: Oh Maker, I do not want to hear this
  • Bethany: Neither do I
  • Garrett: *loudly* And I would be very happy if we could stop talking about this. Right now
  • Isabela: Yeah, see. That kind of loud
  • Fenris: *deadpan* If you're so fascinated by Garrett being loud, then you must not be doing a very good job at making Marian scream, Isabela
  • Marian: Oooooooo
  • Isabela: Oh, you snarky little shit
  • Bethany: *loudly* If we could stop discussing my older brother's and sister's sex lives, I would appreciate it
  • Carver: *loudly* Oh look, more darkspawn. Let's kill them so we can stop talking about this
  • ---
  • Marian: So our choices are the nice, Tainted madman, or the mage who wants to let a darkspawn magister out of his hole in the ground? Why can we never make nice decisions, like what kind of wine to have with dinner?
  • Fenris: I agree. It is the only decision worth making
  • Marian: When you're not throwing it at the walls, I assume?
  • Fenris: That was six years ago
  • Marian: And you never offered me a glass
  • Fenris: You are recycling jokes now? Has the great Marian Hawke's wit finally lost it's edge?
  • Marian: Ooh, you are just asking for it now
  • ---
  • Varric: You okay Garrett? You've been a bit quiet since-
  • Garrett: I'm fine Varric. There's more important things to be worried about right now
  • Varric: It's not easy to realise that someone you looked up to wasn't quite what you imagined. You ever need to talk, you know where my suite is
  • ---
  • Isabela: So... is no one going to bring up the fact that Varric called Garrett by his name earlier?
  • Varric: What are you talking about Rivaini? Waffles and I were just having a friendly chat
  • Isabela: Don't bullshit me. You called him Garrett. I heard you
  • Varric: That doesn't sound like me, Rivaini
  • Marian: He called you by your name when Velasco carted you off to Castillon
  • Isabela: What?! No fair, I didn't get to hear!
  • ---
  • Bethany: Are you sure about this, brother?
  • Garrett: It has to be done
  • Bethany: I could do it. I am a Hawke after all, and a mage. You don't need to-
  • Garrett: No, Bethany
  • Bethany: But-!
  • Garrett: Bethy, if I let you use blood magic, I'd never be able to live with myself
  • Bethany: And if you do it, will you be able to live with it?
  • Garrett: I'd rather it be me than you
  • ---
  • Varric: If he pulls a dragon out of his ass, I'm leaving!
  • Marian: Oh great, and now he's almost certain to pull a dragon out of his arse! Way to go Varric
  • ---
  • Bethany: Here, you didn't get a chance to close that wound earlier
  • Garrett: Thank you
  • Fenris: I just hope it was worth it
  • Marian: Well we /did/ just kill a darkspawn magister. I can't wait to hear how Varric tells this one
  • Varric: Well I doubt I'll have to exaggerate a damn thing, considering how weird this shit is
  • Fenris: That isn't what I meant...
  • Garrett: I'd have avoided it if I could, but someone had to. And if it meant sparing my little sister from that...
  • Fenris: I understand. But... Please, just be more careful from now on
  • Garrett: I will, I promise
  • Isabela: You two are so sappy... It's actually rather cute

Talcott on Jared

Talcott: Your Majesty…do you remember my grandfather?

Noctis: Yeah.

Talcott: There’s something I wasn’t able to tell you back then. Grandpa died because of me… It was my fault. An imperial officer approached me in town, asked if I was from the Crown City. And that was just the beginning:

“What brings you here, young man? You didn’t come here by yourself, did you? Your grandfather is a butler at a manor? How very grand! He rubs shoulders with the royal family? You must be ever-so proud!”

Talcott: I answered him without thinking. A little after that, the man showed up at our hotel.

Noctis: Talcott…

Talcott: Think what you will of me, but please know that Grandpa didn’t give you away.

Noctis: Listen.

Talcott: …Yeah?

Noctis: You’re not a kid anymore. You should know by now what happened that day wasn’t your faultnone of it. Y’know, it’s hard to ask someone else about their pain, but it’s just as hard to share your own with someone else.

Noctis: I appreciate you opening up to me, and I swear I’ll make things right. But believe me when I say that nobody blames you. Not me, not your grandpa. Trust me: you have the king’s word.

Talcott: I suppose you’re right, Your Majesty. Thank you.

This made me giggle so much. Enjoy this Bellas' practice short fic XD

Aubrey clapped her hands together, trying to quieten the suddenly rowdy group of girls in front of her. Good God, they were like 5 year-olds on a sugar high.

Placing two fingers into her mouth, she emitted a shrill whistle that immediately halted all conversation. Once satisfied that she had garnered their full attention, the blonde plastered a smile on her face mustered up as much enthusiasm as she possibly could.

“Firstly, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for, so far, obeying the one rule of this group… not sleeping with any of the Trebles.” Every single girl in the auditorium turned towards the “sex-maniac”, very surprised that Stacie was included in that compliment.

The girl in question realised everyone had gone quiet; she stopped filing her nails and, noticing that all eyes were on her, looked affronted. Her eyes roamed over the faces of the girls staring at her and she held a manicured hand to her chest. “I am insulted that you think that I would have broken that rule! Do you really think that sex is my top priority?! I only have sex 6 times a day!”

Fat Amy raised an eyebrow.

The taller brunette re-considered her own words, before giggling. “Actually I’m not insulted because that does sound like me. Boy if that rule were not in place, I’d have gone through every single Treble… twice!” She went back to filing her nails.

Cynthia Rose helpfully pointed out that no one would ever catch her sleeping with a Treble or any guy for that matter, whilst Lily quietly commented that no one would catch her full stop. The Bellas were not sure if that was even what Lily said; some thought they heard the words “bank robbery”, and others heard the word “vampire”.

Rolling her eyes and letting out a loud sigh, Aubrey turned her attention back to Stacie. “I’m especially proud of you Stacie. I know how hard it must have been for you to control yourself.” Chloe knew Aubrey well enough to know that she was subtly being condescending.

Choosing to ignore the response “very hard”, Aubrey continued with what she had been saying. “Now, Stacie has just brought it to my attention that, although you’re all big girls and can take care of yourself, I need to remind you all about safe sex-”

A loud laugh interrupted Aubrey, and Beca retorted, “I’m surprised you know what sex is, Cap'n Barbie! With a stick so far up your ass, I’m certain it’s been years since you were last laid!”

Fat Amy and Stacie burst into laughter, whilst the other girls hid their giggles behind their hands. Beca took great pleasure watching Aubrey’s face turn bright red in anger, steam practically shooting from her ears. Even Chloe found the insult hilarious, though her eyes never once strayed from Beca.

Aubrey was reduced to nothing more than growls and curse words and she looked seconds away from either killing the alt girl or puking all over her. Seeing that her best friend was of absolutely no use, she breathed deeply. Once. And twice. After years of softball, she knew that her pitch pipe was a perfect throwable object… it was too tempting.

Pretending to not notice Fat Amy high-fiving Beca or the brunette smirking at Chloe, who promptly turned away blushing, she spoke once more.

“Moving on… We’re going to start with some trivia. What is the “Big A” that prevents pregnancy?” Aubrey looked at each girl in turn, knowing the question was easy enough for them to answer.

A few moments of silence followed. Stacie continued filing her nails, not even bothering to think of an answer. Chloe continued her normal habit of staring at Beca, who in turn was gazing back at her, wearing her signature smirk. Fat Amy had her phone out and was not-so-subtly Googling the answer, whilst Cynthia-Rose was looking at the Australian’s phone from over her right shoulder. Jessica and Ashley had moved their chairs closer together and were whispering to one another and Lily simply stared at Aubrey, her eyes wide and unblinking.

The Bellas’ captain was seconds away from giving up when Fat Amy suddenly shouted out boisterously “A CONDOM!”, scaring the daylights out of everyone.

A scattering of snickers could be heard over the otherwise silent hall. Aubrey simply stared at the larger blonde, shocked. Before she could comment, she was once more interrupted, this time by Stacie.

“A dildo!” The seductive brunette looked awfully proud of her answer; she exuded such confidence because, of course she was right. Beca caught Chloe’s eye once more and winked, the older girl smiling dopily back at her; they were obviously experts in this field.

Cynthia-Rose added “A lesbian!” She knew there was never a worry of her getting pregnant after all, she winked at Stacie, who in turn cackled at her hidden, but not-so-hidden, meaning.

Aubrey closed her eyes and counted backwards from ten. Where the heck were these answers coming from? “No… the word starts with the letter ‘A’!”

Beca shouted the words, “An arrogant douche!” And it was no puzzle as to whom she was referring to. Chloe nodded eagerly at her answer, knowing it to be 100% accurate.

Before Aubrey could tell Beca and Chloe to keep it in their panties, a quiet murmur could be heard from Lily. All the girls leaned forwards, a hint for her to repeat what she said. “A fetish for vampires.”

The girls slowly edged their chairs away from the Asian girl. After another awkward silence, Chloe screamed “A Jesse!” and promptly burst into peals of laughter, soon followed by the other girls, Beca practically falling of her chair in hysterics. Even Aubrey cracked a smile at her best friend’s dislike for the puppy boy. As much as she had initially worried about alt girl breaking the oath, it was as clear as day that this would no longer be an issue.

Stacie’s comment “Anal?” was the final straw and soon enough, each girl completely lost it and tears streamed down their faces. Knowing that this Bellas’ exercise was a lost cause, the blonde captain simply joined with the merriment and let the girls have their fun.

Her answer of “abstinence” was lost in the laughter.

Y’Know, I’m proud to be a furry.

I get it, you think the things furries are into are off the wall. There’s a load of strange things out there, but let’s sit down and look at fandoms as a whole. Because despite what people think, furries are not the only fandom with strange things going down.

Every fandom is going to have folks that are into vore. Every fandom is going to have people into diapers/watersports. Every fandom has that person that takes themselves way too seriously and uses fanbase terms that don’t make sense in the context of the conversation (plot, nyah, moirail, etc). Every fandom out there has people with kinks.

Every fanbase is made up of people.

There’s all sorts of folks. Young and old. Gay and straight. Religious or not. They can be all those things and everywhere in between. At the end of the day you have to know one thing.

People are people.

People have kinks and personalities. People shift like the tide, washing new concepts and trends to shore every moment of the day. Some people like things you might not. People can do bad things and they can also do good things. People can feel afraid to enjoy things because they know others don’t enjoy them. However, people dislike being totally isolated in what they enjoy.

So fandoms are born.

A fandom is not a person. By its self, it can’t have kinks or personalities because it’s a concept. It’s like a house. It provides shelter and warmth, a space for you to feel free. Yet like a house, it can’t decide to become an apartment on it’s own.

People shape their houses and likewise shape their fandoms. So you find the fandom that feels like a safe place to be, you add your little flair to the house. You have plenty of housemates that each have their own room. Each room is different, but has the same warm feeling of home. You look around your room and feel proud because you don’t have to worry about being totally yourself anytime you want because it’s your house.

You wake up one day and find that your house has been egged and that there’s people on the street screaming that you are dirty and horrible for living in that house. You ask someone what they’re talking about and find out that there was someone in your house that likes something very strange. The crowd declares that -everyone- in your house must like that thing.

You try to tell them that, no that’s the room down the hall, not every room has that same opinion.

They don’t listen. They don’t want to listen.

People are quick to pass judgment and even swifter to launch an attack based on that judgment. They want everything to be neat and packaged into one large box. They like to generalize. It’s easier to just say, “Oh they live in that house, they must be into this.”

People don’t like being wrong.

So they judge the house because of some of it’s rooms. They decide that the house its self is to blame. So they want to burn it down to prove a point. They want to show that their house is somehow better than your house. Then they turn around and someone is trying to burn their house down for the same reason.

MLP fans are not just neckbeard dudebro’s.

Steven Universe fans are not just militant SJW’s.

Undertale fans are not just skeleton chasers.

Homestuck fans are not just psychopaths that go insane over buckets.

Furries aren’t just sex crazed dog-fuckers.

Those aspects of fandom exists. They exist in every fandom that has ever existed. They exist in every culture of humanity.

Yeah there’s bad stuff that happens in fandoms. Welcome to the world, bad is everywhere! It’s just a fact of life.

There’s also good stuff!

Furries and Bronies have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in charity auctions, or to save local business owners at risk of losing it all. They’re some of the most generous folks I’ve ever met.

SU, Homestucks, and Undertale fans are wonderfully creative and brilliantly talented. They want to make a statement, and take charge of things because if their content creators started where they are now, then they can do it too!

They’re all in different houses than you might be but at the end of the day we all share the same neighborhood. We’ve got to start taking care of each other instead of going to war over what some people in another house say.

Fandoms are too vast to denounce everyone in them because of the actions a few folks.

You need to meet people before fighting them over a fandom they’re in. It’s not healthy, and just ends up with you getting angry over an idea that might not even belong to that other person.

People are people. Let people be proud of themselves.

I’m a furry, and I’ll never be ashamed of that.

I’m proud of my fandom’s house.

  • Mars in Aries: With Mars in Aries you have a very strong and dominant character and a great amount of energy and enthusiasm. You are a self-starter; independent, ambitious, impulsive and very assertive, acting very directly and often without consideration of others. If your Mars is afflicted you probably have a bad temper, and tend to be impatient, overly aggressive, and may not consider your sexual partner's needs. You are seldom reflective when it comes to doing something, but act first and ask questions later. Your more fiery emotions are always an insult away. You have blind courage and sheer guts. Usually souls born with Mars in Aries have a significant relationship to the military or some armed forces, or at least to the government.
  • Mars in Taurus: With Mars in Taurus you are very earthy and place great value in sex, possessions, and/or money. Both your pride and desire to possess things are strong. Like the bull, you're stable, patient, persistent and slow to anger, but also jealous and very stubborn. You have a tendency to hold on to people and things too much, and may need to develop your capacity to share. You have a hard time getting started, and frustrate your strong ambition through inertia and by not acting when it's necessary. Your sexuality is also passive, and highly sensual. You're dependable, and can withstand almost anything. If your Mars is afflicted, you need to be aware of being resentful.
  • Mars in Gemini: With Mars in Gemini you're witty, versatile, mechanically inclined and have talents for many different things and simultaneous projects. This last, however, is also a failing; you need to focus and concentrate your energy and not scatter it over too many enterprises and directions. Watch a tendency towards sarcasm and gossip. You have a lot of mental energy and enjoy communication. If your Mars is afflicted, you may say things you don't mean or make promises you don't keep, and there can be trouble with friends or relatives.
  • Mars in Cancer: Mars is said to be in its "fall" in Cancer, its weakest sign placement. With Mars in Cancer you're domestic, ambitious and a hard worker, but approach your goals indirectly and covertly. You tend to be somewhat timid and not outwardly aggressive. If threatened, you can be very defensive, and you dislike competition. You may have stomach or digestive problems, and since your moods affect your digestion, you shouldn't eat when upset or fatigued. Mars in Cancer is often indicative of discord at home, as well as a great deal of emotionality and an equal difficulty in its outward expression. Your sexuality is often associated with sentiment or possessiveness.
  • Mars in Leo: With Mars in the fire sign Leo, you're vital, courageous, passionate, enthusiastic, proud, and have energy to burn (which you do). You need to be appreciated for what you personally do, as your lover(s) should know full well. If Mars is afflicted you may be jealous and get into arguments where loved ones are concerned. You have a powerful ego (unless there's also a strong Neptune in your chart), and hate to be wrong. A lover of sports, games, and entertaining others, you can be very expressive, dramatic, and sometimes forceful. You have strong likes and dislikes, and are good with kids and animals.
  • Mars in Virgo: With Mars in Virgo you're practical, ingenious, a hard worker and very willing to serve others, but you really need to stop fussing over nonessentials and questioning your own purpose or motivation. You're a master of detail, but get into trouble with coworkers because of your penchant to fuss over trivia. This also narrows the scope of your work, since it keeps you from seeing the larger picture. You get angry when others don't work as hard as you do. You have an innate urge to save, salvage and conserve, and can make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
  • Mars in Libra: It is difficult to be self-assertive, aggressive and sexual with the planet symbolizing those qualities in the sign of balance and harmony, although Billy the Kid, Genghis Khan and William the Conqueror seemed to have done alright with that placement. You need to find the proper balance between aggression and submission, between having to have your own way and letting the other guy have his or hers, for you alternate from one to the other. You vigorously put your energy into your relationships, but that's also where you tend to be argumentative and to stir up trouble. This is due to having to have your own way, and because you use your partner's reactions to you to make your own energy and self-assertion more visible to yourself. This can be especially problematic for women in this culture. This placement generally softens and sweetens your energy, indicates a good arbitrator or lawyer, and can provide motivation towards art. Libra is known as "the iron fist in the velvet glove," so you have a forceful but concealed agenda.
  • Mars in Scorpio: With Mars in Scorpio your energy is so powerful that self-discipline and self-mastery are a must. It is important to commit yourself to an ideal, for you have a lot of healing power. You are intense, proud, strong-willed, and your presence is so strongly felt by others that you can be commanding in silence as well as in speech. Your drive for power and your sexuality are very strong and often concealed, and you can easily manipulate others to get what you want.
  • Mars in Sagittarius: With Mars in Sagittarius you're independent, friendly, optimistic, a lover of freedom and the outdoors, but—since Sagittarius is a mutable sign—can scatter your energy and may at times be impulsive and unreliable. There are two types of personality with Mars in Sagittarius; one is drawn to sports and gambling, the other more to philosophy and religion. You may blend the two. In this regard your sexuality can either be lusty and free, or very moralistic. You enjoy travel and need physical outlets for your energy. You're frank and candid, and if Jupiter is afflicted can be blunt and tactless. You'd rather travel far than be stuck in routine.
  • Mars in Capricorn: Mars is said to be "exalted" in Capricorn, its strongest placement by sign. Mars is sexual energy, aggressiveness, passion, courage, force, vigor, stamina and mechanical ability. In Capricorn it is like a plough biting into the resistance of the Earth, dedicating personal energy to constructive work. This position indicates strong pride, responsibility, strength of purpose, persistence and self-reliance. With this placement however, you need to be careful of manipulating people in your climb to the top. Your strong ambition may stimulate antagonism from others, which, coupled with your tendency not to explain yourself, can cause problems on the job. Your sexual energy often has a lot more to do with power or conquest than with sentiment or feeling. A hard worker, you are driven to manage and to be in control. An important lesson for you is to let go of personal ambition and to work for the sake of the work itself.
  • Mars in Aquarius: With Mars in Aquarius your energy and drive to achieve tend to be independent, unconventional, aggressive, enterprising, erratic, and alternating between extremes of activity and sloth. Your sexuality is also this way, with an interest in experimenting as well. If your Mars is afflicted, you can be argumentative, stubbornly contrary, belligerent, and impatient. You are thorough in planning ahead and covering all the angles when it comes to your ambitions. You tend to be a reformer, and enjoy working with organizations or in community projects.
  • Mars in Pisces: Mars in Pisces is a good placement for musicians, dancers, renunciates, sailors, or people whose lives deal with the sea or maritime affairs; but otherwise you tend to lack direction and perseverance in attaining your personal goals. You have the capacity, however, to synthesize many aspects of a complex situation; and, since your intentions are naturally covert or hidden, this makes you an excellent strategist. You may not be physically strong and can be very restless. There’s a tendency to instability with Mars in Pisces, so alcohol and drugs are ill advised. Intuitive, sensitive and idealistic, you’re driven to go beyond the material world to spiritual or mystical realms where all are one; but in the process you may get lost in the clouds.
Why you shouldn't attack non-offending pedophiles

In order to protect children everywhere, you should be civil with non-offending pedophiles. Now I know that might sound really weird, but let me explain how I arrived at this conclusion years ago.

I’m sure most of you remember the glory days of Omegle. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a website where you can chat with random people completely anonymously, either one-on-one, or in response to a question posed by a third person. I, like many other shithead 13 year olds at the time, fucking loved that website. I especially loved the “answer a question” option, and would spend a lot of time on it. These questions were usually stupid, but every once in a while you’d run into a legitimately interesting question. One day, I came across just that— a question that read as follows:

“What is your deepest, darkest secret that you’ve never told anybody before? Tell that to the other stranger.”

Before I myself could answer, “stranger 2” sent his first message in response. (WARNING: If you are triggered by discussion of incest/molestation, please stop reading here. This could be very disturbing for some people.)

The stranger’s answer to the question was essentially this:

“I am 19. I still live at home. A few months ago I kissed my little sister while she was in the bathtub.”

Again, if you’ve ever been on Omegle, you know that it is riddled with trolls. Initially I assumed he was joking, but I soon realized that he was no troll, and that he was completely serious.

From here on, I’ll summarize the conversation I had with Stranger. I think we must have talked for over an hour.

I asked him how old his sister was, and he told me she was seven. I of course reacted in shock and disgust. He then expressed that he knew he probably shouldn’t have done it, and that the memory of the event had been gnawing at his conscience for weeks. I asked him if he was a pedophile and he says that he supposed he was. I firstly launched into a very long rant about why incest is risky and wrong, a point in which we disagreed, but that’s a detail for another time.

As I talked with him I learned more about his history and feelings. He said he was in love with his sister. He also told me that he was repeatedly molested when he was a child by a man who was a friend of the family. But he stressed that he wouldn’t be like that towards his sister, that he wouldn’t be cruel like his abuser was, that he wanted her to feel happy and safe and that he didn’t want to hurt her. I told him that if he ever interacted sexually with her, he would automatically be hurting her. He tried to argue with me on that point but it was obvious that subconsciously he knew it was true, but didn’t want to accept it. He told me he didn’t believe that all adult-child sexual interaction was wrong, and that he thought that kids COULD consent in certain circumstances, which was another point I argued with him about. He eventually said that his sister was already sexually curious and had engaged him in the past.

“She once asked to see my penis.” He told me. I forget if he said he showed her or not, but he emphasized that he never touched her or had her touch him in any way even then.

“It would have been so easy.” I remember him telling me. “I could’ve done it right then. I really could’ve. But I didn’t. I wanted to do it so bad but I didn’t.”

He said he thought he was “a terrible older brother.”

Throughout the conversation it became obvious that this was a person seriously teetering on the edge of “Do I do it? Or do I keep showing restraint?” And "Would it be fine? Or would it hurt her?” He was completely conflicted and at odds with himself. He didn’t know which path to take, he didn’t know what he should do.

It was at this point that I realized that I was responsible for, and would have a considerable influence on the safety of this child. The situation I faced then was not hypothetical, not one in which there was a lot of wiggle room. I knew that whatever I said to him would directly affect the safety and wellbeing of a real, living, breathing, little girl. It was stressful to say the least.

It would have been easy for me to follow my emotions and tell him he was disgusting and irredeemable, to spew the narrative at him that I see so often here in “anti” blogs and the inboxes of MAPs. The narrative I’m talking about is this one:

"All pedophiles are disgusting, inhuman, ticking time bombs who lack the ability to control themselves and are all ultimately doomed to offend.”

Now, please think with me for a second. Imagine this was what I said to him at that moment. He had never told anyone about this, so it was plausible that my input would be the only words he would hear on the subject, the only viewpoint he heard. Imagine I told him that he was “disgusting, inhuman, a ticking time bomb who is a danger no matter what.” Please, please think about the gravity and reality of this situation.

If I had said that to him, and left it at that, I believe I would have directly put that little girl in immense danger. He could have heard me say that, and decided I was right, he was inhuman, and that in the end he wouldn’t be able to restrain himself, and that eventually he was going to wind up molesting his sister no matter what.

So, his logic would follow, why try?

Why even attempt to control myself?

Why don’t I just go and act like the monster the world believes me to be?

If I’m doomed to offend, restraining myself is pointless. I’m disgusting and since I am disgusting, I might as well act on it. I’m fucked either way. Might as well get it over with.

It’s terrifying to think about.

But luckily this is not what I said to him. I, realizing that the safety of a child was on the line, responded carefully, and calculatedly. I said something like this:

“You are not a terrible older brother. You have shown you are responsible, and that you are able to restrain yourself from hurting her even when you are most tempted. I know that you love your sister very much. And if you love her that much, you need to do what is best for her no matter how painful it may be to put yourself at a safer distance. I am proud that you have been able to rise above your desires and emotions so far, even though it is so difficult for you. Because of this, I think that you’re being the best older brother you can possibly be. Please keep fighting, do it for her.”

He thanked me, we said goodbye, and then the battery to my iPod touch died. I think I must have stared into space for minutes afterwards, processing what I just experienced. I never told anybody about the conversation.

To this day, I often think about the Stranger, and his little sister, and wonder what ever happened to them after all these years. I hope from the bottom of my heart that what I said that day helped, even just a little bit. I hope that he was able to become determined not to offend, that my words gave him some sort of energy to try even just a little harder. Most of all I worry about that little girl. I hope that she wasn’t hurt. I really really hope so. I think I did what I could that day, and that I preserved the safety of a child.

Now for my conclusion. You don’t have to like pedophiles, you don’t have to sympathize with them. It is a hard thing to do, and not everybody wants to. But what you do have to be aware of is that your words can affect the real world, and the safety of real children, no matter how indirectly. Push aside your disgust and nasty gut responses and be civil with non-offending and even recovering pedophiles. NOT for THEIR sake, but for the sake of the children around them.

Pedophiles exist and will continue to exist. It is a unpleasant fact that we share the world with them. No amount of hate mail or death threats will change that, nothing you can do can make them disappear, no matter how much you may wish it to happen. That’s reality. But what you can do is influence them, whether you choose to do so negatively or positively. I hope people who read this understand the point I’m making, and understand the weight their hostile anonymous messages and harassment have. You may very well be responsible for a child’s safety, like it or not.

Please be responsible, please be mindful, and please be civil— for the sake of children everywhere.

Yes, Really

How do I care for a ChiRe baby?

This is for all the new carers out there, or anyone needing some helpful hints on how to care for your ChiRe!

(Please keep in mind I am referring to the ChiRe to be cared for as “your” ChiRe to simply say you are the one caring for them, not in any way, shape or form that you personally own them, as they are their own individual and there is ABSOLUTELY no power exchange here in the ChiRe community🌟.)

Section 1

  • So first thing’s first; what is your ChiRe like? How old do they regress to? What do they like to do when they regress(draw, prance around, play with toys, etc.)?
  • You should know these things about your ChiRe before you start to care for them. The most important thing is to talk to your ChiRe outside of regression and know what they expect, what’s comfy for them, and other important information such as their regression age. If your ChiRe is always regressed, which I know some are, do your best at talking to them, nicely, and let them show you what they like. It’s likely that if a ChiRe trusts you enough to allow you to be their carer, then they will comply and tell you exactly how to care for them!
  • So, I understand that all regressors and carers alike are all different people, and not everyone can follow a step-by-step rulebook on what to do.
  • However, there’s very important guidelines that you as a carer, have the responsibility of knowing how to do.
  • Carers have different roles in a ChiRe baby’s life. Some may take on a parental role, some may be the ChiRe’s datemate but care for them when they regress, some may be the ChiRe’s best friend, family member, or platonic relationship. Whatever the means, you as a carer are responsible for that ChiRe you agree to care for.
  • So that in mind, it’s okay for you as a carer to have your doubts and your own needs. But, you have to be understanding that your ChiRe has certain needs that also must be met. A ChiRe can regress and with the promise of a carer, expect you to put them to bed, brush their teeth, and other simple things of that nature. But if you don’t do those things, and a ChiRe expects you to, here’s where a serious problem begins to unfold. If you’re not able to be there for your ChiRe, something must be worked out between you and said ChiRe that’ll make it so something seriously wrong does not begin growing. Your ChiRe could fall into depression, feeling as though they are being neglected, they could lack to take care of themselves as they are not being guided by their carer, and lack of self-care could lead to illness, eating disorders(if the ChiRe needs you to remind them to eat/fix them a meal), and so forth- I mean, you see where this is going, of course.
  • You might also be caring for a ChiRe with a mental illness. This is especially important, (not to say that all ChiRe’s aren’t important, because they are!), however most mentally ill ChiRe’s require lots of extra special needs, that you must be willing to adhere to. If you agree to care for this ChiRe, you need to understand that this ChiRe is very, very tender and likely depends on you, and that isn’t your or their fault. It can be a good thing for the both of you if you understand what your ChiRe needs and you are okay with this. Make sure you talk to your ChiRe, as stated before. If you fail to be there for your ChiRe and you allowed them to depend on you, very serious things could happen to that ChiRe.
  • No one would ever wish these harsh things on the person they love and care for, Other solutions may be- having more than one carer for that ChiRe, setting up alarms for that ChiRe, or, in some cases, the ChiRe can not be regressed while you are away. Whatever works for you and your ChiRe is how it should be- and remember, it’s always best to communicate and tell each other what you need from one another. Caring for someone else is an important and a serious matter, please do not take it lightly, in the end you could hurt someone very small, and end up hurting yourself too.
  • So, are you ready to care for a ChiRe? If you think you are not able to, it’s okay. Gently let that ChiRe know that you aren’t stable enough to care for anyone else. Ultimately, you need to put yourself first before you take on the role of caring for someone else- you must care for yourself! But if you are ready, feel free to read on.

Section 2

  • So now we know that you are able to care for a ChiRe- great! I’m already super proud of you for taking on such a unique and important role in someone’s precious life. Now, it’s up to you to make this a good experience for yourself and for your ChiRe! I’m sure, depending on the ChiRe, that they will help you through all of this- so please don’t think you are all alone. Your ChiRe loves and trusts you, and will likely understand your mistakes and help you to fix them. And please know it’s okay to make mistakes. However, if you make a mistake, don’t give up on your ChiRe- they love you, and I’m almost positive they forgive you and WILL help you!
  • So now what? You’re ready to be a carer, you know your ChiRe and what they need, you feel confident and excited! Well I’m so glad for you, welcome to being a carer!
  • One of the most important things you have to do is wait for your ChiRe to be ready and how much they’d prefer you help them at first. Maybe they want you to watch how they regress first, and let themselves warm up to you. Or maybe they’re shy and need your help regressing in front of you. Whatever the case, it’s time to put in your best effort. If you are figuring out exactly what to do while watching your ChiRe regress, it could actually help to take notes, as silly as it sounds, it may come in handy in the future.
  • You should plan a schedule for yourself to keep things from cluttering and clashing. Plan a time that your ChiRe agrees on when they should eat, play, nap if needed, spend certain amounts of time doing things they need, take their medicine if needed, when they should brush their teeth, get ready for bed, and sleep! Of course, you need to make sure your ChiRe is comfortable with you setting up a specific schedule. Some ChiRe’s might prefer to keep their normal schedule, one you might have to conform to!
  • When everything’s all set, you can ease into starting the schedule and helping them to regress. It’ll feel funny at first, but you’ll soon start to see it is an honor to care for someone and very rewarding. (Hey, you might even get super cute drawings to put on the fridge!)
  • You’ll have lots of fun with your new ChiRe!

Section 3

  • Aside from all the good times you and your ChiRe baby are going to have, there will be harder days for you, and especially for your ChiRe.
  • Suddenly your ChiRe is upset. You can’t tell if it’s at you or something else. Perhaps the ChiRe baby won’t speak to you, is crying, or worse- having a panic attack.
  • I know this moment can be SUPER scary- and it may be hard for you to keep your own composure. But please, be patient. It can be a very tough life for someone who is regressed, and possibly mentally ill. The best thing you can do is be there for your ChiRe. This will allow them to trust you even more by showing them you will not leave them when they need you most.
  • But first and foremost, you must know if your ChiRe baby wants to be alone or truly needs your help. Still, whatever the case, you still need to be there for them. Even if they prefer to be alone, you’d still might want to remind them that you’re there- don’t spam them- but make sure they know you care.
  • If you are with them in real life, and your ChiRe is comfortable with this, pull them into your arms and tell them you are there. Those are some of the most comforting words a baby who’s sad could ever hear. Shush them, tell them it’s okay, rub their back if they are okay with that. Let them know that you’ve got them.
  • If you aren’t with your ChiRe in real life, you can still do just as much to be there for them. Perhaps in a Skype call, or messaging them constantly to tell them it’ll be okay.
  • Try offering them their favorite toy, snack, or stuffie (or if online, telling them to get their favorite toy/snack/stuffie and asking them to show it to you and explain it to you), offering to take them to play somewhere, play a fun online game with them, or even watch a movie with them of their choice!
  • Maybe they need a relaxing bath with bubbles or a nice dinner, or even a nap.
  • Whatever you do to help them, please don’t leave your ChiRe alone. They need your care in this, and just as much as they’ll brighten up your days- they need you for their darker days, too.
  • These times are always hard, but all bad things will soon pass and hopefully quicker with your help. Just remember, everyone has their own healing pace, but it always helps to have someone there who loves and cares for you.
  • Now things start to get tricky when it’s you that’s having the rough day and not the ChiRe baby. You may be sick, or something happened and you’re really sad and you might not be able to care for your ChiRe all that well. Believe me, it could and most likely will happen- everybody has off days.
  • The best thing you can do is understand you’re still responsible for your ChiRe, and you have to communicate your problems to them so they can understand and help you to the best of their ability. It’s a 50/50 effort, and even ChiRe babies must know that their carer can’t handle too much all at once.
  • The worst thing you can do is pretend nothing’s wrong. Bottling things up is never good and neither is keeping something important from your ChiRe, who may be a very, very important person in your life. Communication is always key! Your ChiRe will understand. They may even be able to help you while regressing. They might bring a smile to your face by making silly faces, sending silly messages, drawing you a picture, and so on.
  • But remember it’s okay to have a bad day; for both sides. Always be there for one another, and everything should be okay.

Section 4

  • Eating. Meals are always tough, but if your ChiRe requires your help, it’s best to know the diet they are on and how to maintain it.
  • Your ChiRe may not eat meat, or may eat too much of it- it’s time, if they are comfy with it, to help them adjust their diet if needed. Everyone should have at least 3 meals a day. If your ChiRe needs that help, sort out some meals for the next few days and keep them on a good schedule(one you can maintain as well as your own, of course.)
  • Make sure your ChiRe gets enough protein and enough veggies and all the vitamins they need. Don’t force them to eat, but don’t let them not eat either. It’s very important for them to get all the nutrients they need to grow!
  • If you’re with them in real life, it might be a good thing to prepare their meals for them, as well as making them happy while doing it- like nuggets shaped as dinos, mac and cheese and sprinkle brownies for dessert! You don’t want your ChiRe baby to get sick so make sure they eat as healthy as possible. Even if they don’t like veggies, make sure to sneak some in their meals as much as possible!
  • If you’re not with them in real life, send them gentle reminders of what they should eat, how to make it if they need help, and guide them along. Maybe have the two of you eating around the same time!
  • If your ChiRe baby is vegan/vegetarian, try preparing them some veggie nuggets, veggie burgers, or other meals they may like and make sure they eat lots of fruit and veggies and take all their vitamins. Have them drink a milk alternative or juice. But most importantly for everyone, is make sure they have WATER!
  • Lots of people don’t stay hydrated especially babies who can’t really care for themselves when regressed. It’s always a good idea to make sure your ChiRe baby has AT LEAST 11 cups of water a day- I know that sounds like a lot, but it’s VERY important! Encourage your ChiRe that water will help them grow strong and keep them feeling good!
  • Make sure you get the right amount of nutrients you need as well!!

Section 5

  • Keeping your ChiRe baby entertained can be easy or hard depending on if you’re busy or not. This is why schedules are always important.
  • ChiRe’s have lots of different things they like to do, especially when regressed. You have to make time for them to play, color, and learn. You should always be able to do these things with your ChiRe. However, if you have things to do like a job or schoolwork, giving your ChiRe certain things to do while you are away may be super helpful.
  • You could give your ChiRe some online games to play, some things to color or paint, or make sure they have a friend over or someone else to help keep them busy. While you’re with them, however, you should always try to spend time with them and keep them company- after all, you are their carer.
  • This part of the post won’t be very extensive, because I am not entirely sure what every single individual ChiRe is like! They all want to do different things, and it may also depend on the age they regress to. So of course, talk with your ChiRe about what they may like to do!

Section 6

  • You should always make sure you have some time with your ChiRe. Not spending time with your ChiRe is very bad, as you already know I’m sure- it can lead to super bad feelings on both sides!
  • So make sure you always spend consecutive time with your ChiRe- help them to read, count, have them color for you, watch movies, play games, and all sorts of other stuff you and your ChiRe like to do together!
  • And if you think you’re limited because you’re online, that’s not true! Try video calling or voice calling, using sites like to watch stuff together, send each other pictures, and if you really like to, roleplay!
  • Roleplay can help with distance because you could say: Okay, time to brush! *picks you up and takes you to the bathroom to brush your teeth.*
  • Lots of people are familiar with this and it may seem silly, but it’s really helpful! It adds more to your words rather than simply saying “Okay, time to brush!”. It feels a lot more real and comforting, which is super duper important to someone who needs to be taken care of. However, it’s not a neccessity if you or your ChiRe don’t like it- it’s simply helpful for some!
  • Your ChiRe should be one of the most important things in your life, so please, treat them like they are a priority. Leaving them entirely out of your life and life decisions is not good, and can be very damaging. Remember that you are taking care of someone. That is someone’s whole life, please be a good experience for them, and for yourself.
  • Bed time- bed time is very important to me personally and is one of the most important times you can spend with your ChiRe baby. How they enter dreamland is so important and something every carer should be able to help their ChiRe baby with. Always make sure you read them a story, tuck them in with a kiss on the forehead, make sure they’re super comfy and snuggle them! It’s always the best time putting your ChiRe to bed!
  • If you’re with your ChiRe in real life, take them to a park and push them on the swing, take them shopping, or somewhere fun where they can play and be themself and still have time with you! Spend some good time with your ChiRe, and please don’t leave them all alone!

Let me know if I need anything else here, I can always add to this! But I truly hope this is helpful to some!

As always, be safe and happy, and thank you for reading!~

  • “Don’t you put any stock in this destiny hogwash!”
  • “Fruit is proof that the gods exist and love us! Just kidding! Life is meaningless.”
  • “How dare you interfere with my ploys to get attention!”
  • “How well will you die?”
  • “I am a prince before I am a son or brother.”
  • “I don’t know who’s responsible, so I’m going to destroy you all!”
  • “I don’t pick fights I don’t win.”
  • “I suppose all I want is for all of our people to be happy.”
  • “I think that every creature is weird and wonderful in its own way! …Except cows. Cows just annoy me.”
  • “I will not rest until every woman in the realm swoons at just hearing my name!”
  • “If the stomach is empty, empty, too, lies the heart.”
  • “If you’re looking for ransom I can assure you, I don’t have any money. What I do have are a very particular set of honey cakes.”
  • “Laugh, and I’ll kill you.”
  • “Let me check… Nope. Still not going to do it.”
  • “Look, I know I’m unbelievably sexy, but you don’t have to stare so hard.”
  • “Look…Would you mind rejoining the enemy?”
  • “No mercy, No forgiveness!”
  • “Now submit! Give your body over to me!”
  • “Oooh, it seems we’ve touched a nerve! I do so enjoy inappropriate touching…”
  • “Pick a god and pray!”
  • “Shut up and prepare to get stabbed.”
  • “Smile! You’re dead.”
  • “Sometimes the righteous path is the most treacherous to walk.”
  • “Surrender to me now and live!”
  • “Surrender? Sorry, I’m not familiar with the word.”
  • “There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know.”
  • “They caught me with my pants down.”
  • “Time to tip the scales!”
  • “WAR IS HECK!”
  • “War and I go way back!”
  • “War is a simple thing. What comes after, that is hard.”
  • “We’re not pawns of some scripted fate. It’s the invisible ties we forge that bind us together.”
  • “Well, usually I disarm foes by removing their arms. But your way sounds impressive, too!”
  • “Well, when a mommy zombie loves a daddy zombie very much…”
  • “When life gives you lemons, squirt lemon juice into everyone else’s eyes so that you don’t have to suffer alone.”
  • “Yay for my face!”
  • “Yes, it’s a Brave Lance, and I’m proud of it.”
  • “You are just a corpse that does not know he’s dead.”
  • “You deserved better from me than one sword and a world of troubles.”
  • “You there, in the bushes. You have until the count of five to show yourself before I start throwing sharp objects. One…two…four…”
  • “You’re about to die, scream if you must.”
  • “You’re not pathetic! You’re human—like the rest of us.”
Stuff of Legends

I’m still not over the ending to BBC’s Merlin, so here ya go.

I made it so that Arthur lives, surprise. Yup. Merlin feels.

Arthur stared at him from across the campfire. A day earlier, Arthur was unable to feed himself, take off his own boots, walk on his own for God’s sake, and now here he was, alive, healthy, feeling better than he had in… forever, actually, all because of the man sitting across those crackling flames.

Strangely enough, even with the news that the man had told him several nights before, the first word that sprouted into his mind wasn’t warlock.

It was friend.

Best friend, in fact. Merlin might be a sorcerer, yes, but that made him no less everything Arthur already thought he was before. As much as he wanted to be angry, peeved, to hit Merlin over the head and growl why didn’t you trust me, he couldn’t. Not with Merlin.

Not his Merlin.

“You look a million miles away.” His voice was cheerful. “What’s on your mind?”

Arthur finally focused on Merlin’s blue, blue eyes. Every so often, he had noticed, they would flash golden, and the fire would grow a bit stronger. It was a small gesture, the young king knew, to show how much his friend trusted him.

“You.” Arthur frowned.

The dark haired man chuckled, shoulders shaking, and the sight caused the king’s lips to edge upwards. “Watch out, Sire. You’re a married man.”

He decided to ignore that statement, but couldn’t contain his smile. “Speaking of Guinevere, I’m sure you’ll have to tell her when we return. I don’t think she’ll believe that you simply found a way to save my life with normal healing when Gaius couldn’t.”

Merlin looked away in calm thought. “I’m sure she already knows.”

Arthur’s brows furrowed. “You think so?”

“Oh, surely.” His servant nodded, expression anything but concerned. “Gaius would have told her, no doubt.”

“What on earth for?” the king sat up straighter, eyes narrowed. “He would have kept your secret until his dying day, no doubt, even from me! Why on earth would he tell Gwen?”

Merlin shrugged as though the words he said next would not rattle Arthur’s soul. “Well, he didn’t expect to see me return, of course.”

Arthur stopped, eyes shooting wide, and he stared, but the magician chuckled and continued. “At least, that is what I’m assuming. Gaius wouldn’t tell anyone unless he could trust them. Or he didn’t think I was coming back.”

“Gaius-Gaius didn’t think you would return to Camelot?”

“Not alive, no.” Merlin’s eyes finally glanced back to catch his in curiosity of the king’s change of tone.

Arthur’s voice was edged with anger. “And why wouldn’t you be returning to Camelot?”

With me, was left unspoken.

His friend rolled his eyes. “I was taking you to the Isle of the Blessed, Arthur. For a life to be saved, one must be taken. It’s the rules, so to speak. It was you or I, and honestly, we both already know the answer to that choice.”

Arthur’s eyes unwillingly pricked with tears. Merlin, again, without a second’s hesitation, was ready to lay down his life for Arthur’s. And he was almost happy with it, as if his life wasn’t worth as much, as if he didn’t matter. As if life would even mean anything if he was gone, as if Arthur could continue living without him.

“You-you were willing to die?”

Merlin glanced up again, brows furrowed, and he must have seen how misty his friend’s eyes had become. “Arthur, it’s not like I haven’t done it before. I told you, I was mean to serve you, and I’m proud of that-,”

“I heard what you said.” He rasped, his throat suddenly very, very tight. “But-but you can’t possibly think I’d let you-let you go and get yourself killed because of me!”

“It never stopped me before.” His blue eyes were sincere, honest, and filled with a loyalty that drove a sword into Arthur’s heart. Because he didn’t deserve that loyalty, that faith. The belief that Merlin always seemed to have. All the times that Arthur had blamed him, mistreated him, called him names, hit him, degraded him in every way imaginable, and he continued to remain faithful, true, and even now, he had been willing, completely ready, to give up his life to save Arthur.

“So-so when did you try before-,”

“The Questing Beast.” Merlin replied easily, frown deepening at the weakness of Arthur’s voice.

“And-and that was the only time.” Arthur stated more than asked. That had to be. He wouldn’t stand for Merlin being so reckless that he would risk his life more than once just to save Arthur of all people-

“No.” the black hair trembled as he shook his head slightly. “No, that wasn’t the only time.”

“How-how many times?” his voice was shaking now, but he didn’t have the care to be ashamed. Not when he had to know, almost felt as if he might die if he didn’t.

No doubt Merlin would be ready to save him if he did, though, no matter what it cost him.

The idiot.

“I don’t exactly know.” Merlin muttered, looking away, his voice suddenly quiet. “It gets blurred over the years.”

“That many?”

The servant chuckled. “Yes, I suppose. That many.”

Arthur’s mouth hung open in shock. Suddenly, all the branches falling, the walls crumbling, the fires that appeared out of nowhere to save the day made sense. The mysterious getaways, the way Merlin had his strange feelings, how they always escaped, were explainable.

“So, when- when Gwen was accused of sorcery, you-,”

“Yes.” Merlin nodded.

“And-and when Morgana came back with the Cup of Life and tried to take over-,”

“Yes.” Another nod.

“And the sword? In the stone?”

“Also me, yes.”

His heart growing heavier with each confirmation, Arthur stuttered, “When I accidently summoned my father’s ghost-,”

“Yeah…” Merlin scratched the back of his head. “He found me out a split second before you blew that horn.”

Arthur could hardly breathe. “And when Gwen was under Morgana’s spell-,”

“I was the old witch, yes.” He chuckled, cheeks dusting pink at the memory. “That was not one of my favorite ideas Gaius came up with, but it worked.”

“The dragon!” his voice grew louder. “The perilous lands! That dwarf said courage, strength, and magic! The troll! Princess Elena!”

“Yes, yes, yes, and yes.” Merlin nodded. “All of that and more. It’s quite funny, really.”

“What?” Arthur’s eyes began to spark. “What on earth is funny about this situation, because I can’t find a single thing!”

“Arthur, I was only saying that-,”

“Saying what, Merlin?” Suddenly he was on his feet, arms waving like a mad man. “That you risking your life over and over and over again to save my sorry arse is hilarious? That it’s something we should both just kick back and laugh about? That the fact that you are so stupid to trade your life for mine on a weekly basis is a joke to tell your children? You could have died!”

He stopped, shoulders falling. “Why would you do that? What reason, on this earth or other, would you do that to yourself?”

Merlin’s eyes turned gentle. Warm. “Because you’re the closest friend I have and I couldn’t bear to lose you.”

Arthur froze, and suddenly Merlin’s voice was filling his head.

What is the life of a servant compared to that of a prince?

I’m happy to be your servant, till the day I die.

I’m not going back, not without you!

And I use it for you, Arthur.

Arthur’s vision was blurring.

Only for you.

And suddenly Arthur could take it no longer. He could not bare this, this unnamable emotion building up in his chest. He could not think that Merlin, sweet, dear, precious Merlin had risked his life over and over again. That he had blatantly disregarded his own worth and future to secure the success of Arthur’s. He could not even understand how he could be so devoted, so loyal to the point that he would die for him.

Some men are born to plow fields. Some live to be great physicians others, to be great kings. Me? I was born to serve you Arthur. And I’m proud of that. And I wouldn’t change a thing.

Arthur nearly attacked him then, as Merlin’s confession whirled in his mind. It could be called an attack, surely, for his arms might have crushed his spine with how tightly he was holding him. But Arthur wouldn’t stop, not yet, not as he buried his head into the crook of his shoulder, as he let the pent up tears roll down his cheeks, as he muttered a million thank you’s into the fabric of his scarf, as he let out all the emotions that had been crawling around inside him since Merlin told him he had magic.

He closes his eyes and thanks God for Merlin. How compassionate, how selfless. That Merlin isn’t bitter about being in the background, not gaining any glory for his amazing acts. For his bravery. That Merlin, sweet Merlin, lived not for himself, but for Arthur. Thanked him that Merlin’s love was so great that even if no destiny decreed he be Arthur’s servant, he would be proud all the same, for all he’d done.

And heavens know he thanked God for granting him Merlin as a friend. A best friend.

And more. For friend was not big enough to describe all that Merlin was to Arthur. He might never find a word big enough.

He became aware of his friend’s choked breathing, and pushed away before he was a direct cause of Merlin’s death, staring into those blue eyes. He held his shoulders tightly, not wanting to let go, because Merlin might be an idiot and run off to save his life again.

“You really are a complete clotpole, you know that?” Arthur smiled, tears skewing his sight.

But when Merlin smiled, there were tears in his eyes too. “That’s my word.”

Arthur pulled the man back into his embrace, “Risking your life for me was stupid.”

“I’ve actually gotten quite good at it.” He chuckled, and Arthur became aware of his hands tightening against the chainmail the blonde was wearing. “I think it should be a job, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. Beware extreme pain, emotional and physical. Death may occur.”

They both laughed, and Arthur pulled back again, this time with a full grin. “I wouldn’t want any other person doing that job, you know.”

“Well, no one else would be able to put up with you.” Merlin replied easily.

Another laugh from them both, and they lapsed into a comfortable silence that spoke more words than either could say.

“Thank you.” Arthur finally breathed, and those blue eyes were on him once more.

“For what?” his friend asked, brows raised.

Merlin smiled softly. “Thanks for the same.”

The king returned the smile and rested his shoulder against Merlin’s. Many things might happen in the future, so much adventure that destiny might have in store for them, but none of it mattered as long as Merlin was there to protect Arthur, and Arthur was there to protect Merlin.

He knew, one day, people would tell tales about them. Wonderful fantasies about their quests and great deeds. Songs would be sung, wine raised to their name. They would be known as heroes, conquerors, brave warriors and saviors.

But for now, Arthur thought as he sighed and turned to watch the setting sun, it was just Arthur and Merlin, two idiots who cared for one another more than the world could manage.

They were the stuff of legends.

His eyes glanced up as Merlin muttered something he didn’t understand, and the flames danced before his eyes, turning into a familiar dragon. The fiery creature opened its mouth in a roar, and the flames crackled louder. It flapped its wings once, twice, before flying upwards and disappearing into the stars above.

Arthur’s grin was uncontrollable.

Yes. The stuff of legends.

The Terminal, Ch. IX

No grave can hold my body down
I’ll crawl home to her.

There exists a certain coldness in the air that arrives in early November. It was bitter and dry, chaffing skin and almost freezing puddles from dripping mufflers or spigots in backyard sidewalks. Buildings huffed clouds of yawns into the dusk throughout the city, filling the skyline with cloud factories, while trees shivered and leaves became carpets that bunched in the gutters and were meticulously crunched in morning commutes.

The sky went out like a candle, snuffed in the breeze, and the thick wool of the clouds hid the freckles of stars on the night’s skin, while the moon was nothing more than a nightlight under the afghan of the future condensation. While cars burst to ovens with heaters kicked higher and windows fought the constant battle of hot and cold, scarves were pulled tighter around necks and even over ears to stave off the chill that really raised a raucous after quitting time.

They had made fun of him before. Knuckles turning white as he gripped the metal bat with such anger. How could Stiles carry around a bat as all his friends around him were filled with supernatural energy? What could a strong swing do compare to fangs and sharp nails of a werewolf, or the screeching scream of a banshee? Enough. It could do enough. Beads of sweat collected on his forehead, confused eyes were staring at him as if she didn’t know. “Stiles.” Her voice was breathless, shallow and he could hear the hope. Lydia Martin. The girl he had been so in love with since before the two understood what love was. He never thought he would be stalking towards her, only one idea in mind. He use to have happy thoughts, images on them kissing dancing in his head, ideas of holding her hand and telling her how much she really meant to him, how amazing she was and how she had such a beautiful mind even if she didn’t like to show it that often. But now, now he just wanted to see that beautiful mind painting one of the school walls. One by one, they were going to pay, and he was going to be okay with it.

“Scotty! Scott-o! Movie night, just us bros!” Stiles was excited. Although he enjoyed the idea of being needed around Beacon Hills, there hadn’t been any supernatural sightings for a while and he was liking the idea of having his normal life back. Him and Scott were spending a lot more time together like they did before, stuffing their faces with countless junk foods and lounging in their pajamas, just being comfortable with each other. However, when he looked at his best friend, his smile on his face immediately dropped. Scott was all uneven jaw and apologetic eyes, his lips pursed together. Stiles was starting to think he was gaining some weird wolf powers by association, like he could hear Scott’s heart beat through his chest. “Oh damn.” He sighed. “I’ll go put some real pants on.” Stiles hiked his way up his stairs so he could get ready for whatever was to come. He knew it was a little too good to be true. There was never a true break in this town. He was starting to wonder why he wasn’t being paid for this yet. Grabbing the keys to Roscoe before heading out, Scott patted him on the back as they exited the house and made their way to the clinic.

thank you for proving my point about you being more about getting attention than helping people. you answered an ask that just says 'whatever' instead of helping me months ago when i wrote in talking about how my dysphoria has caused me to have an eating disorder. making fun of some guy who says 'whatever' is more important than helping a trans guy with anorexia. that's the kind of person you are. A+, you must be so proud of yourself.

You made a mentally ill woman cry in a tjmaxx bathroom, I hope you’re happy with yourself.

You people seem to??? Forget that??? I’m mentally ill and it’s really hard to answer asks about mental illness all day without draining myself???

It’s easy to reply to a joke ask. It’s easy to “whatever” with a one word joke with some punctuation. It’s not easy to reply to a very complex issue like eating disorders and when you reply to nothing but stuff about suicide and death all day when you want to die it fucking drains you.

Also I replied to about a dozen asks about dysphoria before I replied to your stupid joke ask.

Not a question but a few years ago you posted on the YouTube subreddit asking for advice on how to be more confident on camera. You were insecure about your smile and had 2000 subscribers at the time. I told you that your videos are fine and that you you needed to upload more. This is the first time I have come across your channel since... And I must say I am very happy to see you doing so well. 600k subscribers it's an amazing accomplishment! You should be very proud of yourself!

I don’t even remember making the post but I did spend a lot of time on Reddit back then. I’m pretty sure it woulda been more like 20,000 than 2000 since I started putting my face in videos after I hit 10k. I’m glad you took the time to follow up on me though haha. Thanks for the encouragement :)
