you know which one

VEEP: Off the Record with All the President’s Men

Timothy Simons: “The guy who was named as the possible Dan came up to me and was like [rudely], ‘Hey, I hear I’m one of you guys. I don’t know which one because I don’t watch the show.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, OK. Well, if you’re in communications, you’re either gonna be Mike—he’s kinda old-school, kinda checked-out…’ ‘No, no, no.’ ‘Well, then there’s Dan—he’s kind of the younger, sharky one.’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, that’s me. Who is that?’ I pointed over to Reid, who was ten feet away. ‘Oh, that’s Reid Scott over there, he plays Dan.’ And the guy stood there, looked at me, and said, ‘I don’t go over and get him, you go over and get him and bring him over to me.’ It was like…yeah, that’s exactly like Dan.
“I did actually go up and talk to him for a second,” Scott adds. “He literally looked me up and down and goes [contentiously], ‘I guess I see it.’”

Hi there! I just posted a new t-shirt design. What do you guys think? If you’re interested go to my online store and check it out. I won’t obtain any profit, only 5$ for the design and those will be donated directly to the following organizations:

You can even message me, letting me know you buy one and specify which organization you want to donate :)

Go Vegan

you missed him as soon as you
turned your back and left him in
your shadow with nothing but
burning cities on his shoulders.
the path you forged is blazing
with things unsaid, clinging to
the tip of your tongue, and you
fight the overwhelming urge to
turn back around and tell him
you’ll stay.
but you can’t stay.
your demons broke all their leashes
and you love him too much to
let him get torn to shreds by the
shadows that lurk in the corners
of your vision. he went to war and
you are the sacrifice that was made.
it’s not fair, nothing is fair, and you
pound the truth into the earth until
your fists are bloody and red.
you don’t know how you can feel
so much and after feeling so little,
and you don’t know which one
felt worse. you dream of being
swallowed up by the ground, of
being run through with the
commander’s sword, of being
crushed beneath the weight of
an entire mountain. you dream of
his hands on your skin, like he’s
worshipping a goddess, and you
dream of his head between your
thighs until you see the stars again.
you entertain the possibility of
retracing your steps until you wind
up at the place you call home, and
you pretend for just a moment that
he would drown you in his love and
the sweet smell of his skin.
nothing lasts forever, nothing feels
right, nothing is fair. nothing is fair.
nothing is fair.

Kinda miss Ghostyknight since I like having a shorter url. I feel like some people have gotten used to my new one and I feel bad for messing things up again ;;

I can't remember my mbti personality so I wanted to take it again. But idk which online test is reliable. Do you know of one I can trust?

I believe this is one of the ones I’ve taken before, and I’ve just taken it again to check and it did give me the same result as the others I’ve taken.

Sewing Needle Masterpost

Alright cosplayers, I normally would direct you to my Patreon for this, but I see a LOT of cosplay blogs leaving this important information out of posts.  SEWING NEEDLES.  They are NOT all universal, and knowing which one you need for a project can literally make or break a project.

Universal Needles:

  • Okay, I’m not being a smartass here, I promise.  Standard all-purpose (hah) needles are called universal.  They have a straight shaft and eye, and are designed to be used with woven fabrics (I.e., fabrics that have no stretch).  They’re good for general sewing, quilt piecing, and other projects that don’t otherwise require a specialized needle.

Ballpoint Needles

  • The day I discovered ballpoint needles, my life as a costumer literally changed forever.  As their name suggests, there is a “ball” toward the end of the shaft near the eye of the needle, and these are designed to work with stretch fabrics, especially knits.  The shape of the needle allows it to push the fibers aside while sewing, instead of punching right through them, which dulls your needle horribly.  Eventually, your needle stops sewing, and just starts pushing your fabric down into your machine, which is a HUGE mess to clean up and fix.  I literally had to disassemble the bobbin mechanism of a sewing machine once because I was using the wrong needles.  If you have a stretchy fabric project that’s giving you problems, try a ballpoint needle.  A serger is always best, but a ballpoint is way more accessible to most cosplayers.  Schmetz makes a “Stretch” needle that is good for non-knit stretchy fabrics, but ultimately, that comes down to personal preference.

Leather Needles

  • This one should be self-explanatory.  Leather needles are pretty hefty, typically a universal-shaped needle (I.e., with the smooth shaft), and are AMAZING for sewing leather and leather-look armor.  They’re also especially good for vinyl projects, some upholstery fabrics, and anything heavier than canvas, because of how strong these are.  They tend to be a little more expensive ($6 or so for a pack of five, versus $3-$4 for a five-pack of universal), but they are ABSOLUTELY worth it.  Sewing through thick fabric like leather or vinyl can and will bend or break your needle, which is a really high risk for injuring you while you sew.

Embroidery Needles

  • Embroidery needles are good for more than machine embroidery.  They have a narrower shaft, a smaller eye in some brands, and are excellent for lightweight projects like chiffon, organza, and tulle.  Because they’re designed for embroidery, which is a LOT of stitches over a small area, they tend to be a lot sharper, too.  They’re fabulous for super lightweight projects, and my toolbox full of supplies has at least three packages of them at any given time.

Quilting Needles

  • These needles are typically used when quilting the layers of a blanket together (the top, the batting, and the bottom).  They’re heavy-duty, although not to the same extent as leather needles, and are good for sewing three to four layers of “soft” fabric together, such as if you’re lining a project, although for the most part, it’s easier and cheaper to use universal needles for this sort of project.

Topstitch Needles

  • Designed to be heavier, with a large eye for thicker threads, these needles are best for decorative stitching and topstitching, as well as upholstery fabrics.  Unless you need something super intense to go through a couple layers of very heavy fabric, the average cosplayer can usually skip over these.

Denim Needles

  • Again, these are fairly self-explanatory.  These needles are designed for fabric that is very tightly woven together, or that needs an extra push while sewing.  Similar to leather needles, these are great for heavy fabrics.  It does come to personal preference between the two again, and I personally prefer leather needles unless I’m specifically sewing denim.

And that covers needle types!  I won’t go into sizing here, because that’s a whole other post, but having the right type of needle for what you’re making is 85% of your success factor on the equipment side.  I’m always open to questions if anyone has them, and if you like what you learned, please consider supporting my Patreon, linked at the top!

Wow Amarcia-san, I did your reading, and you got my favourite tarot card!

The Past: Death - The skeleton symbolism shows that the inner self (the skeleton) is the most durable part of the physical self. This card means transformation, change which is a blessing in disguise. A clearing out which will make way for something better. This card usually means a major change in life. Harsh fate which does not consider personal feelings. This is my favourite card because it is super creepy and doesn’t mean what you would think based on what it looks like. This is a card all about change and inner strength.

The Present: The Seven of Cups: Keyword - Choices: An important decision has to be made; however, there are many options to choose from. Make your decision carefully. Doorways of opportunity open, but you have to develop intuition to know which one to go through. Don’t rely on some old spirit living in a cursed item to tell you which door to choose.

The Future: The Ace of Swords: Keyword - Force: The Ace of Swords shows the start of an unstoppable movement. Things are changing for the good. Someone will trigger your trap card! Success is guaranteed, as the card cuts through obstacles like a Blue Eyes White Dragon. As with all Sword cards, the Ace shows there are duels to be fought, but with courage and intellect, nothing can stand in your way!

There you are Amarcia-san. I do hope you enjoyed your reading and had fun. If anyone else would like a tarot card reading, then please let me know. Cheers!

Aww, thank you my love!

A vacation, eh? Well we know which one I’m going to pick! That would have to be the one with your good self and ohtobealady - our mini girlie getaway to the beach! The monstrous sunburn I got due to my own stupidity wasn’t that great, and I did hate to cut our visit to NOLA short as a result, but otherwise: we had great breakfasts, fun in the surf, sorbet and daiquiris, I bought a sun hat, we blocked traffic and discussed egg salad and penises (mutually exclusive, of course), cried together at The Theory of Everything, had a good drive and a free Cracker Barrel breakfast at the end there… Divine. Wish it could’ve gone on for longer.

Something I was told that meant a lot… There’s been a few things - I do rely a lot on verbal affirmations though I don’t like to admit it. One that springs to mind revolves around the difficult time following Mom’s death, on the way back from interring my mother’s ashes on the opposite end of the country from where the funeral was held. Not having the means myself, I rode with the funeral director, whose name was Alex and who was quite young. Naturally, I’m out of it still, but one of my gifts is polite small talk. It’s a six-hour drive though and you can’t fill it all, and I kept nodding off. It sounds kinda silly, and simple, but I remember him telling me that it was okay to sleep. It meant a lot because I wasn’t really sleeping, or resting, or grieving, or anything like that, and that simple comment seemed to encapsulate this notion that it was okay to be tired and weak and vulnerable at a time when I really didn’t feel like I had any ‘safe places’.

What turns me off! What fun! Obstinance, rudeness, lack of personal hygiene, any kind of controlling or belittling/patronizing behavior, unsafe activities like driving recklessly, close-mindedness, lack of interest in my interests and opinions. Basically: I’m watching how you treat your waiter and listening to how you speak about your mother, and paying attention to what kind of questions you ask me (if any) and what makes you laugh.

Hello! I was just searching for a smut fic I read a while ago. The slytherins and gryffindors play a game at midnight where they pair off and have to do sexual things. Dramione, Ron and pansy, Ginny and Blaise and a few more! Was a great read and would recommend.

I know exactly which one you are talking about :D

Eros & Psyche by RZZMG (Rated NC-17) = 4
Draco challenges Harry & the Gryfs to play EROS, a scandalous card game. It’s Slyth vs. Gryf, pride vs. desire, male vs. female! Who wins the game of hearts & amour? FIC CHALLENGE! HOT SHAGGING. Pairings-DMxHG,GWxBZ,RWxPP,SFxLB,TNxDG,HPxTD. A/U 7th year.

The smut in this is AMAZING!

-Dramionefanfiction (Senja)

Mosquitoes are a thing here in Finland. There are lots of them. But that also means I’ve done some thinking about them in an attempt to appreciate them as something other than a nuisance. And they’re much spookier if you think of them as blood faeries.
- Live in the woods and near water sources
- Human-detection senses
- Matriarchal society structure
- Demand small libations from humans and other animals
- May or may not curse you with something nasty
- Different blood faeries specialise in different kinds of curses
- Possess different curses for different animals
- You can’t make deals with them or know which one might curse you

First meeting meme: ⚠ (@seresutain)

⚠ on the battlefield/under attack  (I didn’t know which symbol you meant so I picked one close enough to it)

“This is not good, this is not good…”
Larimar whispers to herself, looking around with a wide eyed look and musket in tow. She didn’t like this level of excitement. It felt like everything was going to crash down on her, but battle was battle. She hated that her first battle with something other than a gem monster turned out this way.

“I don’t want to fight! You- Can you reason with them?”
She pleads with the other gem, shakily aiming her gun at another member of her species. It all made sense why they had left her behind. She was too soft for war.
