If any of your complaints about this development fall along the lines of “but azriel” “she doesn’t seem like the type” “she never showed any signs” “amren would be a better fit” you really need to reevaluate your judgment

THE FINAL BOSS: A SPURNED WOULD-BE LOVER

I have decided to make this “final boss” series a thing, because I sincerely love all the varied, weird and beautiful antagonists I’ve created over the years! This is K, who is the mysterious head of a great and powerful corporation who hires a thief to steal the secrets of his competitors. Over time, he eventually finds he has feelings for the thief, but unfortunately, the other rebukes him. So what is a man who has received everything in the world to do when he can’t get the one thing he truly desires?

Why, do everything in his power to ruin the life of the thief, kill his loved ones, break him down, and either witness his destruction or make him understand that he really should accept all the love that K has to give.

But if that wasn’t bad enough, K is not a simple ordinary man. He constantly carries an umbrella over him and avoids sunlight, and while some may joke he is a vampire, the truth is far more horrifying. Many years ago, he happened upon a terrible creature, and forced the creature to fuse with him, becoming something far more powerful than even he imagined. The umbrella is not for him. It’s for everyone else. For, as soon as he steps into the sunlight, he violently transforms into a giant, voracious worm-like creature that will rampage until nothing around him is left alive.

A man with an umbrella who holds so much fury in him that it squirms like a worm within his rotting excuse for a heart. What a guy!

I will forever want justice for every female character who was demonized by fandom because their canon ties to a male character was deemed a threat to a popular slash pairing.

Anders + Looking at Hawke

anonymous asked:

Hey uh.. not to bother you by any means.. but can I get a link to those tips for drawing people crying you did once?? I looked through all the tags and couldn't find it myself, sorry..

Oh, it’s no bother! http://whatisthiscutenonsense.tumblr.com/post/147379834506/eruhamster-retroautomaton-some-crying-tips

But honestly, I’m not actually too happy with those anymore. They’re pretty old. I still sort of hold the same value when I draw them, but here’s some more updated tips, if that’s alright.

One of the biggest complaints I got with those tips was that just a single tear is good enough. Well yes and no. Tears are just a helpful tool, and of course not everyone cries the same, so yes, a single tear can be just as impactful, as long as your emotion and context carries the message.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, there’s heavy crying. And this can take many forms. Again, the face has to carry the intensity of the emotion; the tears are just there to emphasize it. More intensity, (for some people) does tend to include more liquids and leaking.

And of course none of it has to be perfect or even. As I love to touch on, crying is messy and ugly. It brings out the most strained emotions. So none of it has to be symmetrical to get the point across- if anything, it gives it more movement.

I of course draw in a more cartoony fashion, so if you did want to go on the more realistic end of the spectrum, you can focus on the actual physics of tears and how they act and react on the face. More realistically, they come from the inner eye, and are much smaller. They tend to fall in wayward paths, slowly, but  sperraticly, and in droplets or thin streams. You can also add streak marks and flush up the face, depending on the subject.

I’m glad you liked my old tips, and I hope these new ones help!

Man, does anyone remember when writing fanfiction was actually fun and people didn’t try to set rules about how everything is supposed to be well written, canon, absolutely 100% IC and realistic
Remember when people could write a fanfic where Harry Potter met Edward Cullen and got in a relationship with him and Bella and no one would make fun of the writer?
Good times

@pandagnomeium thank you for the ask tho!

some more Power Rangers Band AU fic

since @thecousinsdangereux asked, I wrote a ficlet based on that Band AU post going around. Basically, this is an article written about the band after the success of their first single. (I am not a music writer, I’m so sorry to the profession).

Mighty Ranger Danger on Tour

By Jane Smith (staff writer)

I caught up with the five members of Ranger Danger, an upcoming indie rock band from California (aren’t they all?), backstage after one of their gigs. They’re crowded nearly on top of each other on the ratty old sofa in a tiny closet serving as their dressing room at the back of the building. I ask if they need any more chairs but Kimberly Hart (lead singer) just shrugs her shoulders and flings her feet into Trini Kwan’s lap, the bassist only reacting by trying to tie her shoes together.

Definitely no personal space issues with this group.
