To the person reading this:
I just want to tell you something. Life can be hard sometimes. Whether you are struggling mentally, physically, emotionally, or something else, know that your struggle is valid. Don’t let anyone tell you that “you aren’t sick enough” “your life wasn’t bad enough” “people have it worse off than you” . Everyone deals with life differently. Two people could experience the same exact event at the same time and still be affected differently. Also just because you may not look like the stereotypical description of your struggle, doesn’t make your struggle any less valid.
Have depression and are withdrawn, sad a lot, or any other stereotypical behavior? That is completely valid and ok.
Have depression but smile all the time or don’t “show” that you are depressed? That is completely valid and ok.
Have anxiety and are always tense/nervous/restless? That is completely valid and ok.
Have anxiety but seem calm and relaxed outwardly? That is completely valid and ok.
Have a physical disability where you need a mobility aid? That is completely valid and ok.
Have a physical disability but don’t need a mobility aid? That is completely valid and ok.
Need a mobility aid some times but not others? Still completely valid and ok.
These are just some examples of different ways people could be struggling even if they don’t show it.
Never judge a person by their appearance
I am here for you. I want to help you. You are amazing and beautiful and i hope one day you realize that..
