you just need a creative imagination

tori-ayne  asked:

Did you see Wonder Woman? The fighting that the Amazons did was extremely choreographic and really beautiful to watch for a plebeian like me, but did it seem grounded in reality?

There’s nothing about Wonder Woman that’s grounded in reality. This is an intentional design decision and, to be fair, the likes of Atomic Blonde and Haywire aren’t either. In Haywire’s case, it’s because what makes for a good MMA fight is about as far from SpecOps as you can get.

The combat seen in Wonder Woman is stylistically designed to be superhuman because Diana and the Amazons are superhuman. They’re immortal, godlike beings who live on a paradise island hidden from the rest of the world. Their combat style and choreography emphasizes that aspect of their characters. It’s part of the visual storytelling ongoing to show us who and what they are.

Wonder Woman is the sort of archetypal character meant to inspire, who we look up at in wonder, who inspires us to be better, and to believe in ourselves.

The combat isn’t grounding in reality and it doesn’t need to be. In reality, we can’t reflect bullets with gauntlets and walking across No Man’s Land with just a shield would just lead to Diana’s legs being shot out from under her by a gatling gun. Realism isn’t the point of the movie though. Besides that, Wonder Woman is no more realistic than Captain America fighting Nazis with a shield or Batman doing whatever Batman does in the Dark Knight. Or Athena kicking Ares keister in the Illiad.

Wonder Woman walking into the No Man’s Land is thematic not realistic, and that’s the same for the movie’s fight choreography. Hear it: Wonder Woman walks into No Man’s Land. You don’t even need the visual to feel a sense of awe. This woman walking where soldiers are scared to go.

This is archetypal, mythic storytelling with mythic heroes.

The problem is that “grounded in reality” has become the new version of “believable” or “suspension of disbelief” or “relateable” except with much more restrictive rules. Usually because this justification is really “I don’t like it, therefore”. Used more often to shut down conversation than start it, because “realism” sounds more legitimate than personal preference or inherent bias. If you’re ever in a discussion with someone and they can’t elaborate on why it isn’t “realistic” with a genre that was never about realism anyway, then you can usually say this is why.

Realism as an argument gets brought up a lot with superheroes, and the idea that anything in the superhero genre (and this includes superspies) is real is laughable. It’s called “superhero fiction” for a reason, and DC’s heroes from the Gold and Silver Age are all archetypal, mythic heroes who are better than humanity and through which we find the best of ourselves.

What’s real are the emotions and beliefs Wonder Woman inspires in you, the sense of awe, the wonder, and the hope. To hope for and fight for a better future than the one we see before us. To inspire our dreams so we find the courage to chase them. To look up at the stars instead of down at our feet. To believe we’ll find victory so long as we keep getting up again. To remind us we can change the world.

Sometimes, we just need freedom reality’s constraints to find the best in ourselves. Inspire us to see who we could be, beyond what we’ve previously believed to be possible.

You know how many glorious scientific inventions we have because of science fiction? Like hoverboards from Back to the Future. Or flip phones from Star Trek. They weren’t grounded in reality either when they were imagined. There was only the possibility they might, maybe exist… someday.

When discussing anything creative try and remember this: no is not a shut down nor does it remove the idea’s value. Rather, any explanation on the subject is meant to help us gain a better understanding of the subject. The more we know then the more choices become available, and we’re able to pick the one best for us.

The choreographers, directors, and producers who put together the Amazon’s combat style are people who have a firm grasp of how combat is supposed to work both onscreen and off it. They chose this route because what we see on screen is representative of the themes they had in mind and the story they were trying to tell. It was intentional, not accidental. They knew what they wanted.

The point is don’t be discouraged from chasing after a feeling or a dream just because fiction is what inspired you. The difference between fantasy and reality is the will we have to take ourselves there.

Neptune - place of your hidden potential

Neptune is a planet of illusion and confusion. It is very mysterious place in our chart. It brings people a lot of disappointment due to Neptune’s very enigmatic nature. I believe the house our Neptune is placed holds a great potential that is hidden there and takes time to fully understand. What makes you confused and vulnerable with a little bit of work can also be a source of your great strength.

The House Neptune is shows when you are the most vulnerable. This is a place of confusion, place that you have always a problem to tell the reality from illusion. The way to master your Neptune placement is to recognize your weakness and allow yourself to be vulnerable in this area. Be aware of what brings you confusion. Awarness is your greatest weapon. This is what Neptune truly wants to tell you. Be aware.

1st House - be aware that your weakness lays in your perception of the world and yourself. You may feel lost in life, confused about how you see the world. You may not see it for what it is and people may see you not who you really are. Don’t idolize this world. Don’t idolize your views. Don’t let your artistic nature cloud your judgment. Also, don’t be afraid to be emotional. Don’t be afraid to show your sensitivity. Use amazing psychic gifts you have. Finding confidence in life may be hard for you since your perception of self is delluded but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible. You just have many sides to yourself and you can’t be defined with one word and that’s okay. Be a chameleon; don’t limit yourself to one. Also, your natural optimism can make you a little bit naive so you need to watch out for people because some of them will have no problem using your good heart against you so take care of yourself and trust your intuition more.

2nd House - be aware that your weakness lays in your self-worth. It is what brings you the biggest confusion. You may feel vague about your self-worth. You may feel confused about material things. You need to understand potential that lays in your soul and the practical use of your imagination. You also need to understand that material things are not the biggest evil on the world. They are also not your biggest need. It will always bring you confusion. Find balance!  Be aware of your money (abundance or their lack) in your life. Use them constructively on what you really need. If you can, make your art to give you profit.

3rd House - be aware that your weakness lays in the processing of your words. It can often feel like the words you are looking for in your mind are hidden behind a mist, like they are there but you can’t find them and use them. You can also feel at the moments that you are a better story-teller than everyone else in the room and desperately try to prove it. Don’t idolize the power of your mind but also don’t ignore it. Be aware that you can get an access to a beautiful inner encyclopedia but still you need to make an effort to check yourself while using it. Be aware of the voices you will hear, ideas you will get and be open to messages from your head but be selective of how you will use them. You can take people to other dimensions with your you words, you are highly creative but you must be aware that you need to check things twice before saying them because sometimes your words can be really confusing. Focus on making yourself more clear while speaking, avoid using unecessary words.

4th House - be aware that your weakness lays in your roots. Family always can bring you a lot of confusion. Many times you don’t see your family for who they really are, you probably idolize them a lot just like your chilhood. You may feel truly lost at your core, not knowing who you are and being too dependent on your roots. Truth is, that yes,  you can become emotionally independent person who is also able to help others to see through their own delusions. You just need to make yourself your strong foundation and set clear boundaries with your family. Your imagination make them seem better that they really are. You need to remember that your home and people who make it are part of your life not the center. Family life will never be as perfect as you wish but it doesn’t mean it’s not going to be good. Appreciate what you can have.

5th House - be aware that your weakness lays in your vision.  You idolize everything. Romance, people, children, hobbies… Everywhere where you can express yourself and follow your vision of “something perfect”.  You just try to run from reality this way. Just be aware perfect love  or a child doesn’t exist. Express yourself artistically, yes, but don’t let your imagination cloud your judgment. Life here is not a Hollywood movie but it doesn’t mean it’s not beautiful. Use your imagination in your creations but don’t let it control your love life (and other aspects). You are extremely creative. Use it wisely.

6th House -  be aware that your weakness lays in working. You love to help others. Animals, people… Your service is needed but is also a place of your delusion. You may get lost in your job. You need to take responsibility and do your work in whatever you choose to but remember about taking care of yourself too. Also, you should pay more attention to deadlines. You can get lost so you need to remember about passing time and other details. You are really responsible and devoted, don’t overdo yourself but also try to look at yourself (especially your health) realistically. Getting a flu won’t kill you but don’t ignore it either. Keep yourself in check.

7th House -  be aware your weakness lays in your  relationships. Whether they are of romantic nature or platonic; you may appear as a very confusing person to others and others are like that to you too. You may have problem with recognizing people who have bad influnece on you, you may idolize them and you can be too dependent on others. There is always something very entangled in your partnerships and you need to recognize that and stop idolizing people in your life. You need to directly adress those issuses. There is a chance for you to see relationships with people clear, as they are. You will become more confident and more independent as a person. Just stay aware of your relationships and don’t let them define you.

8th House - your weakness is tied to taboo topics. You may become obsessed with sensitive topics like death and sex.  You may feel you lack understanding of those and  try obsessively to get information in those areas. You may feel confused and feel you are truly not living your life here on Earth because you may focus too much on matters connected to the other world. You need to be aware that  delving into dangerous matters with that kind of passion may not bring you what you want and just make you feel more lost in life. Use knowledge you gain in constructive way. Don’t hoard it, it can cause you more pain. Share it with others. Don’t idolize taboo. Focus on mundane things too. Come back from the dead, your world is here.

9th House -  your weakness lays in your philosophy. You may feel confused about your beliefs and be easily influenced by others in this area. Whether you are more into spirituality or religion, any area involving higher realms seems to be bringing confusion to you. This also apply to higher education. You may have problem with finding out what you want to study and you can become perpetual student or reject idea of studying at all. You may have problem with describing your life philosophy and often change beliefs. You can become a fantastic teacher for yourself and others. You have great psychic abilities. Don’t let this confusion stop you from spiritual development.

10th House - be aware that your weakness lays in your social position. You  feel confused about your position in the world you may feel lost on your life path and you may appear to others as this always indecisive person in those matters. Be aware that feeling of being lost in life happens to everyone. You need to remember about what you truly want to achieve and understand that it will take time. Don’t idolize achievement. Follow it but don’t forget about other important things in life. You will be at the top of a social ladder. You will inspire others to work hard for your goals. Just be aware that outer sucess is not the goal end in life.

11th House - your vulnerability lays in your sense of belonging.
Confusion is tied to your need to be a part of a group. You may idolize them a lot. You may idolize society a lot and see no flaws in how it functions.  You may also do that to your friends. You need to stop looking at people through pink glasses. Remember that humanity is flawed. Be aware of that  being a human means making  mistakes. You can be a strong individual who can do a lot of good for people and society but you need to remember about the fact that society is built from individuals who just like you, are only humans. Allow them to be.

12th House - your weakness lays in your isolation. You may feel very helpess and confused, you may feel you are not safe in this world and you may try to delve into another to find your inner security. You isolate yourself from this world and it not only brings you more confusion but it is also a source of your pain. You can’t run from yourself. You are extremely gifted person. You have amazing ability to reach higher dimensions but you shouldn’t do that in order to avoid pain. Be aware of the mundane world and try to stay more connected with it. You won’t regret it. Our world is painful but you are a part of it. And people like you make it more beautiful.

In retrograde
- you may have a problem with accepting your vulnerability due to the aversion in immersing into the more spiritual side of yourself. You are a very private person and you dislike showing  vulnerability but it runs deep in you and you cannot reject this part of yourself.

Astral Travel vs Astral Projection

This is honestly one of our most requested posts right now. We’ve got numerous anons in our inbox asking us “what is astral travel, how do you do it, and how is it different than astral projection?”

So first off I’m going to address what the astral is so we’re all on the same page. The astral is, in essence, a variety of different realms/dimensions/spaces that can be accessed and is populated by astral beings. Spirits often live here, various deities and entities, and even human souls who simply exist there or are dead or will exist in the future. (Time is weird in the astral.) It’s basically an Otherworld or perhaps the Otherworld often described in myths and legends. It’s not always safe. Just like you shouldn’t trust every single human you meet here on earth, you shouldn’t trust every single spirit you meet in the astral.

So now on to different ways to access the astral, primarily astral projection and astral travel.

Astral Projection

Personally, I find astral projection a lot harder. It’s essentially a form of self-hypnosis. A quick google search/preliminary research will most likely tell you that astral travel and astral projection are the same thing.

Astral travel and astral projection are not the same thing.

Astral projection typically involves a very deep meditative state. It’s pretty much synonymous with inducing an out of body experience (OBE). Your mind is on the edge of sleep and has to stay there in order to induce the right state for astral projection.

Personally, I find this dangerous. First of all, exploring the astral is not safe. Take a guide with you or make sure that your body/self is personally protected. (Sprinkle some black salt on your forehead, carry a protective charm, make a spell jar that will protect you during astral travel, etc. Doesn’t have to be fancy, just keep yourself protected!) There are potential dangers to astral travel and astral projection.

The biggest concern I have with astral projection is that it can often induce sleep paralysis and other hallucinations that are not necessarily related to the astral realms. People who have experienced sleep paralysis may see shadow people at the edge of their bed, demons attacking them in their sleep, etc. Your body is asleep but your mind is awake. Brains are weird. It can also induce a state of panic because hey, your body isn’t moving but your mind is very awake, sounds like the perfect time to panic and make you believe that you’re being possessed by demons. Which, if you’re already scared of demons or negative/evil entities, your mind will be more likely to create those and some very real spirits like to feed off your fears.

So now that I’ve probably scared most of you out of astral projection, let me talk about the ways that astral projection can be a good and useful way to access the astral.

It’s easy to believe that what you’re experiencing is real. With astral projection, your soul is literally separated from your body, and things are a lot more vivid. When successfully and safely practicing astral projection, there’s a lot less room for doubt over what you’ve experienced because typically it is incredibly sensory. Humans have a tendency to believe what they can see/feel/touch/smell/hear.

It’s also easier to be aware of what you’re doing in the astral. You’re experiencing a very vivid trip to the astral, so it’s easier to know and control what you do. Messages are likely to get through easier. It’s very similar to lucid dreaming in that you’re aware of what’s happening so you can respond appropriately. That’s not to say that you can’t be aware of things during astral travel, it’s just a bit easier with projection.

Unfortunately, it can be very difficult for some to astral project for a variety of reasons. Personally, I have a very difficult time doing astral projection. Your energy might be blocked or your soul may just really wanna stay inside your body. Realizing you have a hard time doing astral projection can be really discouraging if you believe that it’s the only way to get into the astral.

So if you’re discouraged because astral projection seems really hard and unattainable and kinda scary and now you’ll never be able to do the spirit work that you want to, don’t worry. I’m about to talk about astral travel.

Astral Travel

Just like astral projection, there are dangers to astral travel. I don’t want to make this post seem like it’s perfectly safe and harmless to astral travel without concern for your safety. Don’t be afraid, but don’t be stupid.

Have you ever done a guided meditation or visualized what you want? Congrats, you can astral travel! It’s almost difficult for me to describe how you astral travel simply because it’s almost second nature to me now. Unless there’s something blocking or hurting me, I can pretty much access my astral space or explore at any time of the day. (Lol I’ve astral traveled at work before. I don’t recommend that, as astral travel can and does require some concentration.)

When you’re new to astral travel, it might be helpful for you to get into a meditative state. Not a hypnotic state, just a nice and relaxed meditative state. Now visualize somewhere that you like. The ocean, the mountains, a nice field, a city you enjoy. Or, if you have a hard time getting there, picture a door. What does that door look like? Tell the door you want to go to your astral space. Now open that door.

Ward your astral space. Your own personal astral space can be modified and changed within reason. But the big difference between imagination and astral travel is that not everything will respond exactly the way you think or want it to. Your space will grow and change without your attention/care. You can even just practice astral travel by taking care of your astral space.

Do you want to leave your astral space? Get your astral protections ready (please for the love of all that is good in this world WARD YOUR ASTRAL SPACE) and visualize that door again. What does it look like? Does it look different? How do you feel about that? What is your gut telling you about the door and where it leads? Listen to your gut. Ask the door to take you to your astral guide. That’s one way that you can find someone to help you explore the astral safely.

I must put the caveat that not everyone will see things in high definition. In fact, it will mostly be in your mind’s eye, not your physical eyes. That’s part of what tripped me up when I first began exploring the astral. I was expecting to see things with my physical eyes but was ignoring my mind’s eye where things were happening. It is very similar to your imagination and personally, I believe that successful astral travel needs some creativity and imagination. So don’t worry if your astral travel mostly looks like a dark space with a vague feeling of what things are and where they are. Pay attention to other things. What do you hear? What do you sense? What do you just sort of know? What do you smell? What do you taste? Don’t worry if visualization is hard for you. It’s still possible to astral travel. A lot of times it’s very easy to overcomplicate it

So there you have it folks! Astral projection vs astral travel! I hope this helps some of you!

Dear #savebendy ,

theMeatly posted this comment 23 hours ago on DAGames’ video

I know this video and the comment aren’t directed at the #savebendy movement, but I still wanted to share it with you.
And I also don’t want to put any words in theMeatly’s mouth, I only want to show you and point out some things…

#savebendy spreads toxicity and hate. It suppresses people’s creativity and imagination. Exactly the opposite of what theMeatly wants, as you can see!

I follow him on Twitter as well and see him retweet art his fans have created …

  • That isn’t always canon!
  • Or just simply shitposts people made that are BATIM related.
  • Or Cosplays! AMAZING COSPLAYS!
  • Humanized versions of the characters!
  • Drawings made by younger people that aren’t that good yet! But we believe in them!
  • He retweets music videos and covers!
  • Heck, some of the art I saw him retweet could even be slightly shippy(AlicexBendy)

But of course I don’t want to say it actually IS ship art, in case the artists do not like that. Just because Alice and Bendy are portrayed in the same picture doesn’t make it ship art!
And I have yet to find art that includes OCs, but I doubt that theMeatly has anything against OCs based on his game!

None of that stuff is “cringy” as some following the #savebendy movement might say. All these people put effort into the things they make and they are passionate about it. They burn… they soar!

Okay, maybe not the shitposts. But everyone needs a laugh once in a while ;)

And with that, all I have left to say is:
Drown out the hate and…

And most of all…

Comfort Prompts

“I’m here, I’m not gonna leave you.”

“Don’t say that you love me more than I love you. Trust me, you are the glorious sun to me, my everything and I love you with all my heart.”

“Repeat after me; I am worthy, I am worthy, I am worthy…and believe it, ‘cause you are.”

“Darling, perfect is just a word. Perfection is impossible and chasing after it will lead you nowhere. Just do your best and accept that the result is good.”

“When the most broken put themselves back together, they become the most beautiful angels. It’s okay if it’s sloppy or if a crack is still left open, you’re even more ethereal to me.”

“The longest and most difficult roads in life end in the best places. Be patient and keep going.”

“So what if the world is complex and overwhelming? So what if you can’t do it all, can’t be the best? Stop focusing on your image and focus on yourself. You have these years on this earth, enjoy them, don’t overthink it. “

“I’m love with your mind, soul and body.”

“The best thing you can do in life is to love yourself and let your passion help others to love themselves too.”

“I know you may feel alone right now but just remember how big the world is. How many souls will love you for who you are. They’re out there, don’t worry. Just get through, explore and you’ll find them. Just don’t forget to find yourself.”

“Can I kiss where it hurts?”

“Hey, it’s going to be fine. We’ll get through this together, hand in hand, okay?”

“It’s all about the little things. Your favorite tea, good stories, sparkly eyes, beautiful skies, the thrill of adventure, passion, the feeling of home. Enjoy them.”

“You’re not broken. Your mind is just built differently, get to know it, have a little chat with yourself. The most complicated minds tend to be the most beautiful ones, just don’t let it use you, learn to cooperate with it.”

“Hey, beautiful, you okay?”

“You’re amazing, did you know that?”

“I think I’m going blind from your beauty.”

“Everyone’s different. Everyone’s beautiful. You’re the most beautiful human I’ve met, and I’ve met myself!”

“Breathe, darling, breathe.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know that triggered you, I’ll never do it again.”

“Here, I’m going to make you some tea and we’ll watch a movie, that sound good?”

“ Magic is real. It’s not spells and cauldrons, no… it’s more subtle. Like, when the air seems electrified, when eyes speak more than words, when you sense something none of your normal senses detect. If you stop for a moment and look beyond, you’ll find it.“

“I know you don’t want to, but in the end, it’ll pay off. Just breathe, keep your head up and you’ll be fine.”

Prompt #158

“Is there a reason my bathtub is filled with a full gallon of blood and glitter?”

“Okay. I have a really good reason for the blood but I have no idea where the glitter came from”

There’s nothing wrong with drawing gods or religious figures in “sexual” ways or doing what you want with religious statues or structures. They’re fictional lol. And you can create “sexual” art or imagery of anyone, it doesn’t harm them. Art is just art. And no art or creative expression should be censored or limited at all. Stop getting offended over something that isn’t real. People don’t need permission to exercise their imagination and creativity however they want.

Nine to Five (Part 1)

Pairing: Stiles x Reader

Summary: Father Stiles AU. All Y/n wants is to find a new family to care for, when she comes across an AD in the newspaper, she couldn’t be happier. Stiles hires a new nanny for his daughter, but he soon realizes that he hired someone that would soon become much more than just a nanny.

Do let me know what you think about this, pretty please. Feedback is always wanted. I remember reading something similar to this and I couldn’t get the idea out of my head; I really enjoyed writing it!

Part 2

Gif @darlingiminlove

“What about this one?” Lydia questioned, eyeing a small square at the corner of the newspaper. “Nine to Five nanny service needed in the Beacon Hills area, must have experience with children under six years old. Email your resume… Short, straight to the point.” She mused, showing you the ad. You shrugged your shoulders, nodding at her to tell her to send your resume. With a few clicks on her computer, she smiled at you and took a sip of her coffee.

Being without a job for the last two weeks felt amazing, you felt like a new person; refreshed and comfortable. You were sad to see the family you looked after move all the way to the United Kingdom, you always thought you’d see Lori and Brett growing up so your heart shattered when the news was broke to you, but after a couple of days, you accepted it and it was time to move on. Except every ad in the newspaper was either taken or two hours away.

“Sorry guys, I better take this.“ She stood up as the group nodded, giggling and munching on chips.

 ”(Y/n) (L/n)?“ A voice questioned.

 "This is she.”

“We’re going to need you down at the precinct. It’s about your mother.” She shivered. Her mother was a good woman, after her father left them, her mother became even more protective of her only daughter.

“Is she alright?”

“I’m afraid not. She’s been murdered.” The cellphone dropped out of her hand faster than the speed of light, her body sunk to the ground as she let out sobs of pain. Besides her friends, her mother was the only person she had left.

Archie watched as his friend collapsed to the ground.

“Somehting’s happened.”

It had been 2 weeks since your mothers death. Your friends had done everything to support you. Archie’s family took you in. Both Archie and his father knew that you should not go to your own dad. He was a troubled man, an alcoholic to say the least. Most say it was a good thing that he left your family, if you could even call it that.

“Eat something (Y/n). You haven’t eaten in 3 days.” Your friend’s voice went in one ear and out the other.

Barely hearing him, you took a bit of your burger, just to spite him.

“There. I’ve eaten something.” Archie gave you a disapproving look. “I’m sorry. I’m just distracted.”

His eyes trailed up to your own as he placed a hand in your shoulder.

“I know this has been hard on you, but that doesn’t mean that life stops because something bad happens.” You knew Archie was right, but still you could help screaming at him.

“Something bad happens? Shit Archie, my mother is dead.” Your voice startled him, “God help me for wanting to scream. God help me for wanting to leave sometimes, I just want get out of Riverdale ya know?”

“I’m sorry.” He states.

“You have no reason to be. This isn’t your fault.” You ran a hand through your messy hair. “I’m going to find the dead beat that did this to her, and put him, or her in jail.”

Archie put a hand up to correct you.

“No (Y/n). You’re going to find this dead beat, with my help, with the gang’s help.“

And so the Riverdale Mystery Gang was created.

'We keep awkwardly running into each other and people have started to ship us and I kinda like you ahaha oh god I need to stop blushing’

Specs wasn’t really an engineer. Their friends took him to be more of the theoretical sort, someone who could crunch numbers but was never seen in the lab for more than the minimum amount of time. He could be relied on for knowledge, but anyone who’d been in group projects with him had heard he preferred working with people, and that splitting work with him and expecting it done was a lot less productive than sitting him down in a work space on campus and bouncing the work between you.

His flatmates knew he wasn’t in the flat that much, and assumed he spent the rest of the time with societies and work. If anyone had checked, they would have noted that there was always a two hour gap in his schedule, but since he seemed to be perfectly ordinary (or as ordinary as the majority of EU student body were, at least) no one paid it much attention.

The shop students knew him as the guy who’d borrow their time to get little things done on their machines. A pinch of solder and iron to fix a wire, a small bit of the forge to cast some metal bits in the unused space of a bigger project. The chemistry students knew him as the guy who’d drop liquids in the liquid waste bin. Never more than a glass, a good way of disposing something you didn’t want to drink or keep nearby. The physics students knew him as the guy who’d request a few minutes with some of their meters. Strain gauges were the most common, but voltmeters and pressure gauges were close behind.

He always had an air of detached interest whenever gossip about the Gentry passed around the lecture halls. It was always another student who’d had a run in with a shadowy figure down by the lot, or had met Jimothy to trade beads, or had carefully not looked too closely at their flatmate recently.

Specs remained a guy with a few good friends who was a nice enough person to chat to throughout his first year. Then, in his second year, his sister came to EU.

Frizz was a drama student, eccentric, always ready with a smile and with a temper that was righteous in its fury. She wrote her own plays, sang her own little songs and drew in her spare time. She and her brother met up every other day for a quick hug, her drama friends quickly becoming acquainted with the smaller group of second year chem eng students who accompanied the elder sibling. When Frizz began dating, in as quietly dramatic a fashion as always, her brother was the one who looked her partner in the eye and stared for half a minute before calmly patting them on the shoulder and giving them a grin when he felt them shaking.

It was only a few months before Frizz had racked up a substantial number of encounters with the Fair Folk, as the liberal arts students tended to. One of Specs’ friends caught the occasional glimpse of worry beneath his usual friendly demeanor, but since Frizz had seemingly taken her brothers words of mild caution to heart she’d not come out of any of them the worse for wear.

Then, halfway through the year, Specs went backstage after a production had finished, he and the rest of the group of friends who’d come to support those of their number involved, to find Frizz’s partner running to him, terror in their eyes.

“They took Frizz!”

Specs face lost all emotion, and the rest of the group took a step back to give him space. A couple of them followed him as he left the theatre with a steadily quicker stride, and lost him as he began sprinting out into the grounds. They hoped he would be alright, knowing that the loss of a sibling would be heartbreaking. One or two of them resolved to go to his flat to comfort him the next day.

What they didn’t expect the next day was for Specs to be sitting behind a table on one of the main university paths with a selection of gadgets and items in front of him and a big digital timer counting down.

The first person to approach him was met with a fake, friendly smile and asked if they’d like a free sample. When they asked him what on earth he was doing, he took a yo-yo from the table in explanation.

“I’m starting off with the smallest stuff. Wholly iron and steel, six metres long wire string. Get it swinging at two and I guess you could even wrap someone up in it. Time goes on, I’ll start getting rid of the bigger stuff I’ve got stashed around. There’s a spray paint system I worked on the other day, it’s got a lovely red finish at up to twenty metres. I put some red iron-based paint in it, easily replaceable.”

Of course, most people steered clear of his stall, afraid of angering the Fair Folk, but there was always someone desperate, and soon he’d given out about thirty of the smaller things. There were several people who observed a tall man, lines of red rising on his skin in a manner that suggested something had coiled round him, stride over to the table.

“You will stop,” he said in a sibilant, angry tone.

“Huh?” came Specs disinterested reply. “Oh, you’re right, two hours have gone past and still my sister hasn’t turned up. Time to move on to the next batch.”

The man seemed to grow taller, hands becoming more pointed. Specs pulled a hula hoop from the stand and tossed it over the man’s head, breaking a catch and allowing a spool of chicken wire to spring from within, encircling his interrogator. After a couple of minutes, he pulled the chicken wire down, taking a small water pistol from the table instead. The tall man glared and retreated.

After half a day, Specs was seen walking to several iron electric boxes and pulling out things stashed within, before returning to the stand to place his unearthed stash on display. Unlike the steadily grander toys he’d been selling, these things didn’t hide what they were made for. An ugly looking thing with springs held several iron bolas. A mass of batteries were strapped to a couple of electromagnets with a supply of iron filings to feed between the two. Swimming goggles with lenses and rocks. Flashlights with reticules and chemical warning labels. Ball bearings and a hand cranked handheld self reloading catapult.

For those who were desperate, the rumours that had spread around campus were enough to bring them in. Each piece of equipment was explained, warnings about not firing this through a glass window, it could put someone’s eye out, that shouldn’t be aimed at the legs in case it trips someone up, this should be handled with a paint mask and with no-one in the immediate vicinity.

In the evening, as Specs handed out the last of the things he hadn’t been holding onto for himself, a group of assorted people with burn scars, pocks of red and faces in assorted angry expressions that looked near inhuman came towards him.

“You’ve made a lot of people angry.”

“They can join the club. I still haven’t seen my sister.”

“You have no more threats to hand out. You will be sorry.”

“Oh? No, I’ve got a whole wardrobe full of these things. Then there’s the emergency stashes I made, just in case. Then the stuff I’ve left half finished. And, of course, I might start handing out copies of my designs, I had a bunch of people interested in what I offered today and I’m sure some of them would love to know how these things work, try a hand at making their own-”

“You wouldn’t dare.”

“Wouldn’t I? I don’t see what the problem is. I’m just putting my frustration into something productive. If only my sister were here to calm me down…”

The next day a girl with Frizz’s face approached the stall. She left when Specs offered her a wire Chinese finger trap to try out.

It was midday when Frizz herself appeared, wandering drunkenly over to Specs stall and hugging him as though she’d never let go. Specs brushed her hair with a hand covered in iron rings, murmuring in her ear. He kept one arm around her as he packed up the stall, hefting the duffel bag and stall with difficulty with one hand before the siblings’ friends arrived from class to help.

That evening, in Specs flat, with Frizz lying exhausted on the couch in the kitchen, one of his friends quietly asked why he’d had all that stuff prepared. In the course of one and a half days he’d handed out enough anti-fae tools for a small mob, and he’d been hinting he had even more. One of Frizz’s friends, the one who never wore iron and smiled all the time, looked slightly scared as she asked why he hadn’t used it.

“My family have always been creative,” he said. “You can see my sister’s talent. My dad paints, my mum sings. I imagine things. And some of those things are not very nice.”

He looked at his hands. After two days of being either clenched or solid as a rock, they were shaking now.

“It was fun to imagine solutions to a problem I’d never faced. To make something cheap, effective and that I’d never need to use, but should have around just in case. Heck, I even said to myself that it was alright to design bigger, because it wasn’t as if it’d be used on anyone nice.”

He began to cry. His voice went very, very quiet.

“I don’t want to be known for weapons.”

Gemini Compatibility

Note: Please take into account your Moon and Venus signs and remember that any pairing is possible with compromise, please don’t base your relationships completely off of astrology

Most to Least Compatible for Gemini:

Gemini and Aries:

Aries is a sign that expects nothing but loyalty in a relationship and sometimes Gemini’s can find this difficult. They go into the relationship with good intentions but as an Air sign, faithfulness isn’t something they’re the best at and this can upset Aries and set off their fiery temper which can in turn scare Gemini away and make them distant, confusing and angering Aries even more! This relationship can be like a dog chasing its tail and then squealing in pain when they bite it. Gemini’s require intellectual stimulus to keep them interested and Aries’ need a spark. Gemini’s aren’t the best listeners in the Zodiac and won’t pay much attention to emotional angst and everyday issues which can end up wounding Aries’ ego and annoying them. Aries’ passion and intensity could possibly frighten Gemini and scare them away.

Despite all this, Aries and Gemini have the potential for a very fun and loving relationship. Gemini’s tendency to debate about things can get Aries’ all fired up if it’s not about something serious, thus satisfying Gemini’s need for an intellectual debate and Aries’ need to be passionate and argue about something. Gemini’s and Aries’ both despise boredom with promises a very exciting and exhilarating relationship. Gemini’s are always evolving and changing which is good news to Aries’ who finds it hard to settle. This is a relationship that both sides can learn from. Gemini can show Aries’ the beauty of the mind and communication and Aries’ can show Gemini how passion can say things that words can’t. Neither are very fond of sharing emotions so there will be mutual empathy and understanding there when both are opening up. As problematic as this pairing is, it is capable of reaching a comfortable state of excitement and common ground, a lot of work is needed though.

Gemini and Taurus:

Taurus and Gemini are generally not a very compatible pairing, mainly because Earth and Air signs don’t mix very well, but there are also characteristics exclusive to these signs as to why they’re not compatible. Taurus is quite a jealous lover, preferring to have their partner to themselves and getting quite upset if they feel their partner is straying whereas Gemini hates to be tied down by someone, they’re known as the sign who have trouble with staying faithful and this is a huge no-no for Taurus. Taurus’ safe and secure nature isn’t exciting or challenging enough for Gemini who is always full of new ideas and goals. Gemini always needs new things to keep them busy and Taurus might not be able to keep up, preferring the comfort of home and security. Gemini, being an impulsive liar can end up hurting and manipulating Taurus without noticing it, causing Taurus to build their wall and dig up their hatchet.

However, like with every pairing, this one has a lot of potential. Taurus has a love of the arts which can spark a real intellectual stimulation in Gemini which is what they really need, it might even bring out their creative side and encourage them to produce new ideas. You need quite a lot of patience to be able to put up with a Gemini, not particularly in a bad way, it’s just they’re constantly jumping from one thing to another. Luckily, Taurus has more than enough patience to tolerate this as long as Gemini is willing to meet some of their needs too. Both signs are insensitive to an extent so there’s mutual understanding when it comes to comforting and emotions etc. which can benefit especially Gemini. Taurus’ seem to lack imagination and creativity but when in partnership with Gemini, Taurus can be exposed to new ideas and may find interests they never knew they had. Both signs are quite humorous so a good friendship can make a good foundation. If Gemini can be careful with Taurus’ emotions and if Taurus allows Gemini to have their space, this pairing can work.

Gemini and Gemini:

Same sign pairings have incredibly good fortune in terms with compatibility but sometimes things can get a little stuffy when a sign as well expressed as Gemini is duplicated. For example, Gemini like to feel free in any relationship they have. Depending on their Moon or Venus signs, in this relationship, one partner will be more likely to stray than the other. This isn’t an intentional thing but can be very upsetting. Gemini’s like to argue, whether it’s friendly debate or a serious conflict, this can lead to things getting pretty heated. Gemini’s like to talk but sometimes tend to zone out when it comes to listening, this can be problematic and hurtful to both partners as no matter how much we cover up our emotions, at the end of the day we all need someone to listen. Not to mention that Gemini is the jester, the trickster of the zodiac and can successfully trick and manipulate others. If this gets out of hand, serious damage could be done.

However like all same sign couples, Gemini’s make for a very understanding and zesty relationship. Gemini’s crave intellect and friendly debate, of which there is an infinite abundance in this relationship. These two will never run out of things to talk or debate about, they will open doors in each other’s mind that they never knew were even there. Witty and intelligent humour will bond these two together and give them reasons to laugh even in their darkest times. Despite their argumentative nature, this couple will be very good at communicating their problems to each other which is a big factor seeing as this is where most couples meet their downfall. Wrong words, miscommunications – these are not things that Geminis are prone to and this can help the relationship grow amazingly. If these two show each other how much they care and show as much loyalty as they can without compromising their own values and morals, this couple have a strong foundation to build their ideas on.

Gemini and Cancer:

Air and Water are tricky mixtures when it comes to relationship pairings. Air can stir water and water can make air heavy and damp. Gemini is very much a carefree, come and go partner whereas Cancer is a very home oriented, committed lover. Cancer needs to feel secure and safe at all times and depending on how dedicated Gemini is, this could be a problem. Gemini’s are the tricksters of the zodiac, they’re like a breeze, you feel their presence but you can’t catch them in your hand. Gemini’s love freedom and will be repelled if they feel in anyway obligated to be 110% dedicated to a person. This isn’t to say that every Gemini is disloyal, it just means that they need their space and if Cancer doesn’t understand this they can get hurt. Cancers like to address their emotions and if Gemini doesn’t accommodate this, it could be incredibly destructive to Cancer’s wellbeing. Both signs are quite manipulative, Cancer with their emotions and Gemini with their words so in this relationship, both partners will have to be able to recognise when they’re not being fair and be able to stop.

However, like all pairings, this relationship can work if both partners are willing to realise their differences and use them to learn from each other. For example, this relationship covers a lot of bases! Cancer is the mother of the zodiac and can provide understanding and emotional intelligence to Gemini who can sometimes neglect their emotional needs by talking them out of existence. Cancer will sense when Gemini is sad or hurting and can show them that it’s ok to feel things and can show them how to heal. Gemini is the communicator of the zodiac and can show Cancer how to communicate their emotions clearly so that it’s less of a puzzle to find out what they want. They can provide Cancer with different perspectives and thought patterns to help them out. Gemini is very artistic and Cancer is very intuitive, together they can produce artworks of all kinds. These two can make for a very character building pair and can last very long with the right amount of work and effort.

Gemini and Leo:

Air and Fire pairings always work well to a certain extent. They make for a very passionate and innovative couple but as with any other pairing, they are not without their faults. Romance and sexuality is very important to Leos, they feel it is the essence of relationships however Geminis, being air signs, rely on an intellectual connection to keep their spark alight. If Gemini can’t find intellectual stimulation in a relationship, they may look for it elsewhere which could make Leo jealous and spark an argument. Leo is “the royal” sign of the Zodiac and may be inclined to sit back in the relationship and let Gemini do most of the work – which Gemini will not be happy about. Both incredibly flirtatious signs however Leo is more inclined to be jealous than Gemini. Elementally speaking, Fire needs Air to exist, but Air does not need Fire. Leo may be the one that falls deeper than Gemini.

However when Air and Fire signs work well together, they work REALLY well! Think of this romance as one between a Monarch (Leo) and their Jester (Gemini). Gemini is blessed with a golden tongue and can flatter and entertain Leo as much as their heart desires, Leo’s amusement and attention is in itself a reward for Gemini. This pairing is likely to become a socialite type of romance, the type that would host dinner parties, or parties in general together. Gemini challenges Leo on an intellectual level and Leo always rises to the challenge. Leo likes to admire thing, and luckily Gemini has an abundance of qualities for Leo to enjoy. Geminis are exceptionally creative, especially in their words. Leos are natural born performers as well as creative in their actions which can appeal to Geminis as it can complement their own talents perfectly. If the two partners in this pairing can learn to put equal effort and respect their differences and their boundaries, this relationship can be one neither will forget.

Gemini and Virgo:

Sadly, this couple is definitely not one of the most compatible, it’s on the other end of the scale I’m afraid. For Virgo, stability, routine and organisation are key in relationships, that’s just about everything that Gemini may find restricting and heavy. Gemini needs freedom to explore what the world has to offer, regardless of how spontaneous or unplanned these things may be and that can really scare Virgo. Archetypically speaking, Virgo is much like the parent, and Gemini is much like the child of the Zodiac. Mature, practical Virgo may feel responsible for childlike, unpredictable Gemini which after a while, may strain Virgo. A lot of the time it will be Virgo who is looking after and maintaining the wellbeing of the relationship, even though it may come to them like second nature, it is not very healthy. Virgo’s detailed oriented nature may make Gemini feel scrutinised and generally, they haven’t got much in common, nor have they got enough differences to make it interesting.

However no pairing is ever impossible and with work this relationship can definitely last. Geminis are very creative and can communicate their ideas well, their Virgo partner can provide a solid foundation for them to build their ideas upon and can provide them with depth and practicality. Virgos have an awful habit of biting off more than they can chew and they end up becoming swamped in one situation or another. With Gemini as their partner they can learn that it’s ok to take time out to relax and heal themselves which is very important for their wellbeing. Intellect will most likely be the focal point in this relationship as both partners crave it. They tend to have the same type witty, sarcastic of humour also, meaning that conversation rarely runs dry. Fights can be handled very maturely and efficiently seeing as both signs are ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. If Virgo loosens the reins and Gemini steps up to their responsibilities in the relationship they can most definitely be good for each other.

Gemini and Libra:

Air signs tend to amazingly together, as most same element signs do. Personally I believe that Gemini and Libra are near perfect for each other. They do of course, have their downfall. In most relationships, there’s always one person who tends to fall deeper than the other and in this case, that person is mostly likely the Libra. Librans love to love. They require a bit more emotion than Gemini in order to feel satisfied in the relationship and this can sometimes make Gemini feel uncomfortable. Gemini’s detached attitude may come across as untrustworthy to Libra and could hurt them. Although air signs like a friendly debate, Gemini sometimes tends to take it too far and it turns into an argument, this can upset Libra and make them compromise themselves to restore harmony. They’d both rather brush their problems under the carpet than to solve them and this can build up into one big problem. Deep relationships between these two can be hard to come by.

However these two are incredibly compatible, a meeting of the minds comes with this pairing and they both value that greatly. Both signs are very intellectual meaning they can really sit down and have a conversation. Gemini can really appreciate and admire Libra for their fairness and good judgement and Libra can fall in love with the witty humour that Gemini provides. Whimsy and optimism are the theme of this relationship, it simply never grows stagnant. This element of continual change and growth makes long term relationships less daunting for them (mostly Gemini). When in an argument Geminis communication skills and Libras compelling sense of justice and fairness guarantee that whatever the outcome of the fight is, it was for the best and was mutually agreed on. With compromise on both parts, this couple provide for each other a safe haven of creativity and light heartedness.

Gemini and Scorpio:

Air and Water signs can go very well together because they encourage the relationship to make its decision using both head and heart. However in this pairing, it’s getting Gemini and Scorpio to work together in harmony that’s the trick. Scorpio’s dark and deep essence may make Gemini feel dragged down, causing them to become more aloof in the relationship. Having a Gemini in your life is like a whirlwind, constantly jumping from one thing to the next, this can be quite disruptive and alarming to Scorpio who is very strategic and whose emotions are rightly compared to still, deep waters. Scorpios are quite possessive in their relationships which can repel Gemini. Geminis are naturally flirtatious which could anger Scorpio if it’s not directed at them. Geminis whimsy nature conflicts greatly with Scorpios strategic one. Gemini may not have to emotional capacity to handle Scorpios strong feelings.

However if these two work through their differences, the relationship is definitely achievable and maintainable! Scorpio’s dark passion can both intrigue and frighten Gemini which leads to a lot of exploration on their part. What you see is not what you get with a Scorpio and Gemini will enjoy putting the puzzle together. Scorpio rarely divulges their emotions to others but if they decide to, Gemini will have all the right resources to help Scorpio get their feelings across as accurately as they can. Geminis don’t see much point in holding grudges and if they use their golden communication skills, they can eventually convince unmovable Scorpio to let go of past hurts. While Geminis like to try their hand at everything, Scorpio can help them find their strengths and channel their focus for a smarter move. If they realise their differences and instead of ignoring them, use them for growth, these two are unstoppable.

Gemini and Sagittarius:

These two signs are opposites and like with any opposite signs, it can either go amazingly well or horrifically wrong. Like I’ve said before, Fire and Air go quite well together in terms of passion and friendship. However they can run into as much trouble as any other pairing in the Zodiac. Both signs tend to get carried away with themselves and will need to establish a good foundation if they want a good long term relationship. Whereas Gemini is quite good with words and chooses them wisely, Sagittarius sometimes comes across quite blunt and a poor choice of words could upset Gemini. Sagittarians can be quite opinionated and are stubborn when people question that, but that’s what Gemini does in order to get a view of multiple perspectives. Both signs are quite competitive in arguments and this can lead to it getting serious. Unless Gemini and Sagittarius have a strong common interest, this relationship can lose its spark and die out relatively quickly.

Should this relationship go well however, it’ll be quite rewarding. Both of these signs love to experience and learn new things and are constantly on a quest for new things to do. Since this is so important to both of them it creates a bond between the two when in a relationship. This is the relationship that will never grow old since they are constantly trying new things and finding out more about each other in the process. This make a long term commitment a lot less daunting for the both of them. Sagittarians need freedom, physically speaking whereas Gemini need that freedom in an intellectual form. Both partners let each other have the freedom they need as they know how important it is. Gemini is the thinker of the couple, who comes up with ideas while Sagittarius is the philosopher, who expands on those ideas. If they can combat their differences and use them beneficially, Sagittarius and Gemini can be life-long partners.

Gemini and Capricorn:

Air and Earth signs are incredibly tricky to get right and require an awful lot of work. Air dries Earth out and leaves it unfertile. Earth makes the Air heavy. For this pairing to work at all, it requires a very strong connection to build upon. Both partners must be determined to make it work or it could fall apart. Much like Virgo, Capricorn is very practical and realistic which Gemini can feel dragged down by. These two signs have very different way of doing things. Gemini likes to take short cuts and easy options as long as they get them to where they want to be. Capricorn on the other hand likes to be thorough and make sure that everything is done properly so they can say they’ve achieved their goal wholeheartedly. Geminis impulsiveness can scare Capricorn and make them build walls, walls that Gemini might not be bothered to break depending on how involved in the relationship they are. Emotions will also be quite tricky to master as Geminis never dwell on them and Capricorns internalize them.

However if these two are completely in love and will do what it takes to make it work, this relationship can be achieved and with the joint ambition of these two signs, it’s definitely doable. Capricorn likes to have control in order to get things done right but they also give Gemini enough space to do them, so Gemini has no problem letting Capricorn take the lead. Since these two are so unlike each other their own qualities seem amplified which makes it easier to understand each other’s needs. Although Capricorns silently deal with their own problems, they’re not the best at communicating them to others which may lead to a row if there is any miscommunication. Gemini can help Capricorn say what they feel. Gemini whizzes through life, not taking times to really appreciate things, Capricorn can help teach Gemini to slow down and smell the roses. If they really try with each other and do their best not to give up, these two can be very successful together in life in general.

Gemini and Aquarius:

Same element signs as I’ve said before are almost always the most compatible for each other as they share many qualities, however sometimes the differences between them can be quite problematic. Aquarius is a fixed sign and so can get stubborn when others are not cooperating for them. Gemini doesn’t like this very much as they’re mutable and they drift and flow rather than getting caught up on one thing. Aquarius may not give Gemini enough room to breathe if they get caught up in the relationship rather than just going with it. Aquarius likes to be in charge and if they don’t allow Gemini any space or freedom this could push them away big time. Neither of these signs pay much attention to their emotions and this can end up being a problem if they go too long without voicing their feelings. Although they have a lot of intellectual stimulation from each other, real passion is quite hard to come by as this pairing is more of a meeting of the minds. However even though there might not be much passion, how much this affects the relationship really depends on the partners.

This pairing is generally a very compatible one as both signs here crave and provide intellectual stimulation. Aquarius’ rebellious streak inspires and excites Gemini and their ideas. Aquarius’ need to be different, and they need that difference to be noticed. Gemini admires Aquarius’ individuality and provides the attention that Aquarius seeks. Both signs are very good at communicating to each other so fights rarely occur. These two like to spend time talking and debating, expanding and building on each other’s ideas and theories. If they have the right mind set these two can be very productive in terms of making these ideas more than ideas. Where Aquarius inspires Gemini, Gemini amuses Aquarius with their witty, intelligent sense of humour. When these partners practice equality and free will in their relationship, it’s an incredibly mindful one.

Gemini and Pisces:

Probably the most compatible Air and Water pairings, these two share a lot of qualities for signs that aren’t of the same element, and although Water supposedly dampens Air, and Air stirs Water, some believe that in this match, it’s beneficial. However communication sometimes gets messy here despite Gemini’s talent. Pisces’ are known as the martyr of the Zodiac and will suffer in silence unless someone asks them what’s wrong. Gemini might not notice anything wrong as Pisces’ are also quite good at making it seem like nothing’s wrong, much like Scorpio, their emotions run deep. The more comfortable they get with each other, the more likely Gemini is to notice that Pisces sometimes like to wallow in negativity, not all the time, but sometimes it’s necessary for regeneration. Gemini may feel awkward with this seeing as they themselves aren’t in touch with their emotions. On top of this both signs tend to be quite drifty, and as loyal as Pisces is, they always like to flirt with different possibilities, if there’s no strong attraction these two could float apart easily.

However this pairing as I said is highly compatible and can bring abundance to both partners’ lives. Both Pisces and Gemini have seemingly endless creativity that comes from different places. Pisces’ creativity comes mostly from their intuition, a lot of their emotions inspire the things they do whereas Gemini’s creativity comes from thought, they can take something mundane, think about it for a while and bring out the beauty and wonder from it. Gemini’s communication skills do not go to waste in this relationship either. As emotionally intelligent as Pisces are, they sometimes have trouble getting the right words out to describe how they’re feeling, Gemini can help Pisces with this. Gemini’s ideas can sometimes get too big for some people to handle but Pisces, who can understand these ideas on a deeper level encourages Gemini to think as big as they can. Despite Gemini not really expressing their emotions, Pisces knows when there’s something wrong and somehow knows how to heal Gemini without them even noticing. With the right amount of compassion and attraction, these two are a very compatible couple.

Down-to-Earth Love, Strong Emotions, and Technology

July 25

The sun and Mars are still conjunct in early Leo to an exact degree.  So the possibility of taking sudden action is a big possibility since the sun is focused on that.

Mercury in Leo is at 29 degrees, and soon after going into Virgo, it will go retrograde and come back to this point. This is also the area where the next new moon solar eclipse, will be landing, and it is also the point of the fixed star Regulus.  In this spot, it is connecting to the grand fire trine with NN, Uranus and Saturn. It is closest to being trine to Uranus, which brings unexpected news, insights, brilliant conversations or unusual statements (well that’s everyday, these days).  But it is HIGHLY positive and with Mercury in loving Leo –the sign that rules the heart—and Uranus in Aries—the sign that takes action, there could be unexpected action based on telling someone you love them, engagements, or news of a child or future child.  Positive news about teaching children through technology, in a futuristic way or about something unusual. It is important to the social destiny and also highly positive, and Saturn in the grand trine can help with the ground work—highly positive to make something real in a responsible, practical way that builds the structure so it can be strong.  In Sagittarius, there could be legal matters involved, or higher education and possibly international ties or something that involves foreigners or foreign travel.

Jupiter is square Pluto this week, almost exact today, and while Jupiter and Pluto together can relate to power and wealth, some astrologers believe that this configuration relates to using power and money for the good of others.  Jupiter is beneficence and good fortune and in Libra it is about relationships and justice. Pluto is power and economics and in Capricorn relates to being responsible.  This challenging angle can mean that extreme power, extreme changes (Pluto) can affect harmony in a big way (Jupiter in Libra) that can be stressful and that it is necessary to be responsible in business, government, authority in order to achieve justice, fairness, and positive partnerships.

Venus is opposite Saturn still moving away from that aspect.  Feet on the ground when it comes to love and money as well as beauty and décor—what we call ours. Not to get too carried away, especially because of peer pressure (among social groups, norms—represented by Gemini), or when seeing things in the media and wanting what you see. Saturn brings things down to reality and in Sagittarius  gives a wider perspective of what is really meaningful and considered to be a higher-level perspective.

Venus is sextile Eris and close to being sextile to Uranus. Angle of opportunity to take positive unexpected or sudden actions related to meetings or social groups/activities. Possibly a financial benefit connected to future technological activity or developments, or through futures investments. Moon in Virgo is opposed to Chiron.  Feelings and emotional issues regarding health and

Nutrition, getting in shape may be spurred on by pain or feeling unhealthy or a negative issue related to health, wounds or injury, or negative reminders of what health should be.  There could be sensitivities regarding health concerns and those could spur on the feelings about the need to work harder on health and nutrition.

July 26

Sun and Mars still exact.  Focus on taking action related to things we love, children, playfulness and fun, or even risks.  Matters of the heart and matters of enjoyment.  Beware of the tendency to be impulsive since there is a connection to Uranus in Aries, still, and that can result in unexpected blow-ups.

Early on, Neptune is  opposite the moon today, and there could be emotional hindrances to the details related to sensitive issues, health, or feeling at peace. Emotional responses to the small details regarding a creative project could come up, as well.  And perhaps an emotional issue happens related to the health of someone in the music or film industry, or the mental health of someone based on an emotional disturbance related to things being in order, or overwork, or taking care of health and fitness.  It may be a good day for a mental health day away from the ordinary schedule, since mental, physical health as well as the focus being distracted by either a need to just let the imagination run wild while you are doing a detailed or organizational task, or the opposite—maybe you are too focused on the small details when what you need to do is just let it go and see where things lead.  Being more creative in a spiritual way.

Later, there is a grand cross in the sky formed by the Moon in Virgo, Saturn in Sag, Chiron in Pisces and Venus in Gemini.  There will be challenges related to emotions concerning things like health and nutrition or how things are being organized, or the small details about how things are being done—either related to healthcare, or legal matters, or financial discussions in the news and the reality vs. what is being said. Emotional responses to the details about that will come up as well as stressful issues regarding health, healthcare, pain and injury and some kind of harmony or financial matter.

On a personal level, emotions could be strong regarding small details, the little things. Saturn in Sag could relate to delays in travel or legal matters, possibly limitations surrounding education or publishing matters.  Chiron in Pisces could bring up sensitive issues related to health, injury or pain, or feelings of compassion for someone in need of healing.

Venus in Gemini, again, is money or love, values in relation to social groups, meetings and what is in the news.  Gemini can mean there are two things,  or two sides, possibly a need to make a choice of more than one thing. Choosing values over money or love over beauty.  All of these could come up and be affecting the others. This can mean putting out a lot of fires, or feeling as if you need to multi-task, or you have the weight of the world on your shoulders.  Because the moon is in the mix, it will not last more than a day and Venus will also be moving away from this configuration soon, as well.  So the pressure will dissipate in a day or two.

Jupiter and Black moon Lilith are sextile today, meaning very good possibilities for expanding relationships with powerful international women or women in law or education.  It could also relate on a personal level to great benefits to a relationship or partnership and sexuality while traveling, or women feeling more powerful in relationships/partnerships—possibly a just legal decision goes well regarding women’s issues or because of a powerful woman having a big effect on the outcome.

Jupiter still squares Pluto.  This does indicate stress between what is just and fair and major transformations taking place in government, business, banking, and the workplace, or the boss, authority figure.

Pluto is close to being sextile to Neptune and has been on an ongoing basis.  Not exact but still within orb. This can relate to what I talked about last time – reverting to the spiritual and meditation, intuition, and creative issues.  It can be the opportunity for major transformation regarding how people use their spiritual, intuitive and creative gifts, including music, film, art, photography.  There are positive opportunities to make major transformations in these fields and to have a huge impact on the business end of it, the authority side.  Perhaps a new authority figure in the New Age or spiritual world will make a big difference or have a transformative effect.

July 27

Today Venus in Gemini and Uranus in Aries are at a positive angle of opportunity.  There could be surprises or unusual activity going on that could be influential over finances or love relationships, possibly what you own, or that can make you happy if you take advantage of this possibility.  It could be related to what is reported in the news that offers an opportunity to make money based on unexpected events, or coming into money suddenly or unexpectedly based on something you write or communicate, or on a meeting with someone. Or it could be a positive social connection that is made based on an unexpected turn of events or action. You know the kind of thing that happens in movies when you bump into someone coming out of the elevator, or sitting on the train, or with Uranus, online.

The Grand Cross is still in place  briefly in Mutable signs, meaning challenges that could transition us into something new. Specifically, Moon in Virgo opposed to Chiron relates to feelings and emotional issues regarding health and nutrition, getting in shape may be spurred on by pain or feeling unhealthy or a negative issue related to health, wounds or injury, or negative reminders of what health should be.  There could be sensitivities regarding health concerns and those could spur on the feelings about the need to work harder on health and nutrition.

Then the moon will be in Libra for a short time in the evening (EDT), and also be at a positive angle of opportunity to Mars and the Sun in Leo. This could be a big emotional reaction to a relationship issue or to an issue of what is fair and taking action to be more loving, or more happy, or just impulsively taking a risk of some kind—possibly related to a financial gamble– and it turns out well.   We still have the grand trine in fire, but there is a remainder of that grand cross which is now a T-square connecting venus in Gemini to Chiron in Pisces to Saturn in Sagittarius, all at challenging angles, along with the Venus opposition to Saturn. So there could be some tension related to harmony and values among social networks that is at odds with healing and healthcare, helping those in pain, and in making it real vs. putting up walls and restrictions against love, harmony and healing.  This is a struggle that needs to be overcome, and can be as Venus moves ahead and when Chiron moves into Aries.   At that point, there could be less focus on compassion and sensitivity to the pain and injuries and need for healing, and more action being taken to that end.

July 28

The main thing happening today is the moon meets up with Jupiter in Libra, and that brings up highly emotional or very strong feelings regarding partnerships, justice, what is fair, what works best to maintain harmony.  And that is at a challenging angle, almost exact, to Pluto in Capricorn.  It represents big business and the government, those in authority and who have the power. There is less focus on emotional issues and fairness and more on practicality and efficiency. Hard work, not working in partnership with others, not a good balance of perspective, and this is going to result in an emotional plea or a huge expression of feelings that challenge the authority to make things fair and just.   To work together and to take into consideration the strong feelings about the need for fairness and positive (world, high-level) partnerships.

The moon and Jupiter are also at a positive angle of opportunity to Black Moon Lilith, which is related to female power or raw sexuality. So a good possibility, if you do something about it, to have a great sexual day with your partner, that will be extremely beneficial on the emotional scale.  Very good for justice and fairness and feeling good about legal decisions thanks to potential powerful female intervention.

Venus is still at a positive angle of opportunity to Uranus, so there could be unexpected financial benefits in technology-related, future-oriented activities.  There could also be surprises action taken that could relate in an outcome for love and harmony. Possibly at an activity related to social justice, or at a tech show, or online.

July 29

The big player today is the moon at the last degrees of Libra, where it is aspecting Venus in Gemini.  This can mean some feelings or emotions coming up regarding a relationship or partnership is highly positive for communicating in loving ways.  Telling how you feel, in writing and maybe even taking an ad out in the paper or posting it online.  Possibly an emotional proposal that is spread on social media. Another possibility is that the emotional concerns for justice and fairness could receive funding from networking, social media, news reports or social groups that show their love with money to help achieve justice. This could be done in an effort of partnership among several groups.

The moon is also opposite Uranus in Aries. Unexpected activities or outbursts could create hindering emotional feelings regarding relationships and partnerships.  These could be at opposite ends of the spectrum. But Venus is sextile to Uranus, so the Venus/moon connection could mean that the social activities related to love and money will help iron out this opposition.

The moon is also at an angle of opportunity to the NN in Leo connecting it to the grand fire trine – another positive connection that brings it in touch with Uranus in a positive way.  So  whatever unexpected outburst or surprise action is opposing the feelings for partnership or justice, there are other aspects in the sky that are calming Uranus in Aries down and turning things into very positive outcomes—so if you’re feeling a sudden surge of emotion because of an unexpected event that seems problematic, rest assured that there are positive forces influencing that scenario and it will work out for the best.  And Saturn in that mix in the grand trine, keeps feet on the ground, and cooler, reasonable, and high-level (in Sag) perspectives.

Taurus Compatibility

Most to least compatible for Taurus

Taurus and Aries:

Probably one of the most problematic pairings in the Zodiac, Aries and Taurus don’t have many differences but the ones they do have can be quite vital in the relationship. Aries in an incredibly independent sign, and likes to enjoy fun, light hearted relationships with the person they love whereas Taurus has a tendency to emotionally invest in a relationship with someone they really love.  Aries being a fiery, passionate sign can be very carefree with their relationships, often doing before thinking and this can really upset Taurus who tends to get quite jealous or possessive when they feel their relationship is threatened but this is only because they put so much thought and care into the relationship and they’ll be damned if something is going to mess it up. Taurus’ temper can match that of an Aries, sometimes even outdo it but as Aries’ let go of arguments as quickly as they arise, Taurus is one to hold onto that for a long time and can withdraw from their partner if trust and stability is broken. Aries love to win, and when they do they tend to rub their partners nose in it but when they lose, they pretend it never happened, this can anger Taurus since it’s not fair to them.

However with the right level of understanding, this pairing can create a comfortable yet exciting atmosphere. Taurus is the most passionate of the earth signs which appeals to Aries nature. Taurus is a very sensual sign, appreciating things like good food and massages regardless of how simple or it might be. They know just how to pamper Aries, which they enjoy as much an Aries does. They’re very good at handling Aries’ temper since they’re much slower to anger, it builds up over time, which is good for Aries because it means someone is keeping a firm grip and isn’t going to blow up back in their face right away. Aries can bring Taurus out of their comfort zone – for better or for worse- and should pay attention to Taurus’ limits if they want to avoid upsetting their partner greatly – Taurus’ need stability and nothing would break their heart more than their own partner to break it for them. This pairing needs a lot of work and a lot of communication, they need to learn to stay calm and patient but potentially this pairing could be very rewarding.

Taurus and Taurus:

As compatible as same sign pairings are, they all have their flaws, materialism and insensitivity are two big ones in this relationship. Taureans are very materialistic signs, the house and the car are a BIG part of commitment for them because it represents a comfortable, functional home, which is important to Taurus. Materialism can be good sometimes in that you end up with a nice home and a lot to show for it but the problem with it when in relationships is that, the flame can die out and at the end of the day, when asked “Why do you stay in the marriage if you’re not happy?” Taurus’ answer could be “Well there’s the house… and the car.” As for insensitivity, Taurus’ can be insensitive to one another which means emotional issues in the relationship could cause more disruption than they would in other pairings. What I’m trying to get across here is that Taurus’ determined, materialistic nature could lead to them seeing the relationship as more of a goal, something to be completed and by the time they realise that that’s not what relationships are about, their feelings for each other could’ve changed completely.

However this pairing is incredibly compatible despite the setbacks mentioned above! This is possibly the most secure pairing in the Zodiac. Both partners are very loyal and emotionally invested in the relationship. They have a mutual understanding on the importance of the relationship to each other meaning they’re more likely to make it work. Both signs have incredible patience which means fights are quite rare, they won’t fight about trivial things making the relationship a very peaceful one. Both partners are sensual and romantic, constantly pampering each other and making small romantic gestures. The reason this relationship is one of the safest is because both partners will tend to be quite dependent on each other and the chances of one of them getting cold feet and backing out is slim because they fall in love very carefully, making sure they’re certain of their love/attraction for this person. This pairing is one of the easiest if the two can manage to keep the creativity flowing and the flame glowing, this can be a lifelong love.

Taurus and Gemini:

Gemini always needs new things to keep them busy and Taurus might now be able to keep up, preferring the comfort of home and security.

Taurus and Cancer:

This pairing is generally quite compatible but it’s not without its faults. Both signs are very possessive in their relationships. They don’t really mean to be, it’s just a defence mechanism more than anything, since both of these signs tend to root their emotional security in their relationships. Taurus’ possessive nature stems from their need for emotional stability and Cancers’ stems from deep seated insecurity. Because of this, there’s the possibility that the relationship could turn toxic, so they need to be cautious of that and make sure they don’t get too carried away and swept up in the relationship. Taurus’ can come off as insensitive which to sensitive Cancer can seem upsetting and hurtful, as if Taurus doesn’t care. Cancers are naturally very manipulative signs, they manipulate to keep themselves safe, sometimes without noticing. Taurus, who values loyalty and trust above all can feel cheated and betrayed if Cancer’s manipulative qualities shine through. This can cause Taurus to either lash out or shut down, either way holding resentment for Cancer, in turn hurting them.

However this pairing has been known to be quite successful due to the loyalty and nurture involved in the relationship. Both signs require and provide undying loyalty to each other which promises a strong, long lasting relationship. Both signs like to take care of each other in different ways, Taurus makes Cancer feel pampered and treated, while Cancer turns a house into a home which Taurus greatly appreciates. This pairing is the classic “settled couple” stereotype in that their relationship has solid foundations and can last a lifetime. Both signs are very involved and tuned in with one another since relationships are a big part of their lives. If Taurus can try to provide more empathy and sympathy, Cancer might be less inclined to let their manipulative side get the better of them.

Taurus and Leo:

Fire and Earth signs tend to be a tricky match and Taurus and Leo are no exception. Leo’s have a naturally flirty energy about them which Taurus can sometimes misunderstand as “flirting with other people”. This can annoy Leo since they don’t like other people to have a grip on them. Although Taurus’ enjoy equal partnership, they desire to be the breadwinner and “master of finance”, Leos however want absolute dominance because they prefer to be the centre of the relationship. This can lead to disagreements and although Taureans are patient signs, they’re also quite headstrong and when Leo challenges that with their own stubbornness, calmness will go out the window. Leo’s pride could end up getting wounded by Taurus’ possessiveness, as they need constant adoration of some form and if Taurus isn’t providing it, they’ll look for it somewhere else. In bad situations, this relationship could just deteriorate to a title.

As with any pairing, this one does have its upsides. Both signs are incredibly loyal to each other and nothing could prevent them from being faithful. Leos have a bright and exciting outlook on life, when Taurus is introduced to this perception, their love can become less heavy and dense. This way, the relationship is still loyal and trustworthy but not as heavy and daunting as earth sign’s love generally is. Taurus being an incredibly sensual sign, is excited by Leo’s passion for romance and sex. Leos are a sucker for those who can shamelessly proclaim their love for them and Taurus has absolutely no trouble doing so. Taurus loves to pamper and treat their lovers and Leo loves to receive that treatment. Another thing that ensures a long lasting between these two is that neither of them like change, if they have made a commitment with each other, it will take a lot for them to break it and create any inharmonious change.

Taurus and Virgo:

As compatible as earth signs are together they have their faults. Both signs are incredibly determined to make the relationship stable and long-lasting that without really noticing, the spark could go out and the relationship could go stale. Virgo, being the main perfectionist and neat freak of the zodiac, might unintentionally start nit-picking at Taurus which could irritate Taurus and maybe even hurt them a bit. If Taurus’ hidden rage and resentment becomes apparent to cool, passive aggressive Virgo, it can be incredibly repelling. As passive as Virgos are, they have a very sharp tongue and know just which words can make someone tick. If they use this against Taurus and cross any form of line, Taurus’ will hold onto it and never let it go, psychologically punishing Virgo in whatever way they see fit. Neither signs have much of a capacity for emotions which can make the emotional issues more difficult to deal with than usual.

However if the signs keep the relationship exciting this match can most definitely be successful. Both signs thrive in stable relationships and will combine Virgo’s rational-type-determination with Taurus’ romance oriented determination to create a secure, sensual relationship. Virgos generally have a very strong libido which can simultaneously be satisfied by and excite Taurus’ sensuality. Taurus has endless determination and patience which Virgo values and appreciates above most. Both signs are very humorous which means a good friendship between them can make a strong foundation for them to build on. Neither of these signs likes to be put too far out of their comfort sign which means both partners are quite content to keeps things the way they are. If these two can keep the relationship fun and stimulating, this pairing could be one for life.

Taurus and Libra:

Even though Taurus and Libra are the most compatible signs for each other, they do have their downsides. Libra being a very gentle and conflict-avoiding lover can be scared or thrown off my Taurus’ (hardly provoked yet terrifying) rage. Libra’s live and breathe love (whether it’s romantic or platonic) and have a flirtatious air about them. Taurus may confuse this for Libra being flirty with others and may take it very personally and hold resentment. Because of Libra’s hate for conflict and confrontation, they’ll often take the blame in relationships and apologise first to restore the relationship to its initial state of harmony. Taurus may use this to their disposal which can be quite unfair and upsetting to Libra. However Librans can be quite critical in their partnerships, in pursuit of the perfect partner. This may make Taurus feel self-conscious or insecure, making them retreat into themselves.

However, like I said, these signs are the most compatible signs for each other. Both signs LOVE partnership and value it equally but for different reasons which gives diversity to the relationship. Taurus is a very sensual partner, adding the spice to Libra’s love of romance to create a very dream-like relationship which can be a very relaxing aspect of their lives, the part where they can unwind and let loose. Both signs have a love for the arts, Taurus loves the arts that appeal to the senses (music, visual art, photography) and Libra loves the intellectual based arts (writing of all types, theatre). If Taurus isn’t too forceful with their stability, they can provide good grounding for Libra’s who sometimes tend to float from reality. If Taurus can learn to accept Libra’s flirty nature and not take it so seriously and Libra can ease up on the criticism, this match is very well suited for a long-term relationship.

Taurus and Scorpio:

These two signs are opposites, sister signs. As with any pairing that consists of opposites, it can either go really well or horribly wrong, depending on the amount of effort both signs are willing to put into it. Both of these signs are the most resentful, grudge-holding of the Zodiac which means that when they have a serious falling out, it will take them ages, if ever to restore harmony to the relationship. Both signs have a vicious temper when provoked which makes them a very dangerous couple if they’re aggressively inclined. Both signs are insensitive to each other’s emotions and since both feel things very deeply, this can lead to them getting very hurt. Taurus’ likes to have financial dominance in the relationship but Scorpio demands full control. Scorpios don’t enjoy being reliant and being relied on, and Taurus’ tend to be quite dependent in relationships.

However sister signs can be very compatible if they can understand their differences. Both signs expect nothing less than absolute loyalty from their partner and give it back in return, making a very stable foundation to build on. Scorpios need a lot of time for self-reflection and self-discovery in their lives and thus need a partner who will be patient and willing to let them grow. Patient Taureans are perfect for this. Taurus’ are very insensitive signs and might also have a problem communicating their emotions to their partner. Scorpios, being water signs, are very intuitive, and can tell when Taurus’ is having a hard time or is upset and can respond accordingly to avoid a big confrontation about it but at the same time comforting them. Scorpio can benefit from Taurus’ stability greatly since they need someone to keep them steady while they find themselves. Both signs are very emotionally resilient which promises a long lasting relationship. If these signs are willing to compromise, understand and accept each other’s differences, this can make a very promising relationship.

Taurus and Sagittarius:

Taurus and Sagittarius can be a very tricky match, as fire and earth signs generally are, but Sagittarius’ adventurous nature could compromise it even more. Sagittarius’ hate possessiveness, being the free-spirited learner of the Zodiac, Sagittarius needs freedom in a relationship if they’re going to make it work which means Taurus’ jealous nature could repel them. Taurus’ like to settle, to have a home type relationship but Sagittarius’ find it ridiculously hard to settle. Taurus’ craves structure and stability which Sagittarius doesn’t have, on the contrary, they can be quite irresponsible and tactless. Whereas Sagittarius’ are quite optimistic, Taureans are very rational and although Sagittarius can benefit from that, it could also bore them. Sagittarius’ have no time for grudges and resentment, and thus, if Taurus is going to try hold it over them, they will just back out.

This pairing can learn a lot from each other though if they are willing to compromise with one another. Taurus’ love for the arts and their sensual nature can appeal to Sagittarius a lot seeing as they love learning and experiencing things. Over time, as they get used to it, Sagittarians can find comfort in having stability and even find a way to make it exciting for both of them. Taurus can show the beauty of the home, romantic contentment and simplicity and Sagittarius can show Taurus the wonders of the outside world and things beyond their knowledge. This may scare Taurus but Sagittarius will be there to hold their hand. Basically, this relationship is one in which both partner s learn an awful lot about life, the world and themselves. If Taurus allows Sagittarius to satisfy their restlessness and Sagittarius makes an effort to commit to the relationship, this relationship will be a happy one.

Taurus and Capricorn:

Like other earth pairings, this one can be really good but also has its drawbacks. Capricorn is a very ambitious, work oriented sign and Taurus being a very home oriented yet ambitious sign, may feel challenged and neglected at the same time. They like to be financially dominant in the relationship and if their partner is outdoing them they may feel belittled. Capricorns are also very independent signs and need their own space, whereas Taurus’ who invest everything into their relationships can be quite dependent on their partner, sometimes overstepping boundaries. This can result in Capricorn feeling smothered and trying to back out. Capricorns can be quite pessimist which does effect the ending result of the relationship; whether or not it’ll work. Where Capricorn likes to be in control, Taurus can be possessive which can result in a power play between the two. If the two signs get caught up in just making the relationship last for the sake of the title, the relationship can grow stale.

However there is a lot to be said for this pairing, as earth signs are generally very successful in long-term relationships. Both enjoying stability and structure, the foundation of this relationship is very strong and sturdy. Taurus’ being the sign of comfort and sensuality loves to pamper and treat Capricorn who works hard and is quite self-sacrificial in their work (they tend to be stressed a lot). Capricorn notices Taurus’ practical potential and encourages them to be more disciplined and ambitious. A long-lasting relationship between these two will result in a very luxurious, materialistic home, since Taurus enjoys retail therapy and Capricorn can help make sure Taurus is being smart with their money. Capricorns buy things of high quality and longevity. If these signs can establish good boundaries, keep things interesting and meet each other half way, they can really work.

Taurus and Aquarius:

Earth and Air combinations are always quite an unusual pairing, Taurus and Aquarius are no exception to that. Aquarius loves freedom and individuality above all else. They do not care if their partner is jealous and they also won’t care if their partner is trying to make them jealous, seeing as they don’t have a jealous bone in their body. They really won’t appreciate Taurus’ jealous/possessive streak. The defence mechanism of an Aquarius is generally to pull away the more their partner pushes and since Taurus (out of desperation most likely because of their emotional investment) will push to try to make things right, Aquarius will keep pulling away. Both signs here are very opinionated and may clash on certain subjects (some may be quite important to either of them). Taurus craves intimacy and sensuality whereas Aquarius is more interested in a meeting of the minds and isn’t quite bothered with romance.

However these two can also be the pairing to move mountains. Aquarius is a very unconventional thinker and likes to come up with philosophies and ideas. Taurus comes across very strong and has the means to make these ideas and philosophies really sit with people. Working together, these two are a very influential couple. Although they don’t admit it, Aquarius’ needs routine, they may not like it, but they need it, Taurus naturally provides this for Aquarius without any confrontation that Aquarius may find embarrassing. Both signs value and desire and equal relationship, team work. Taurus provides unlimited patience while Aquarius deals with their own mind which can often kick up a storm when on the verge of a new idea. Aquarius can show Taurus all the benefits of intellectual stimulation, and show them new ideas that will really make them think and question. If Taurus can learn how to control their possessiveness and Aquarius can extend some intimacy, this pairing makes the perfect team.

Taurus and Pisces:

Earth and water signs tend to go quite well with one another, mainly because water is fluid and can change to suit the situation. However Pisces is a sensitive soul and can be scared of Taurus’ rage if they ever crossed them enough. Pisces don’t like conflict and will normally hold more of a passive aggressive stance in relationships. When Taurus isn’t getting the reaction they want, they’ll only go further, forcing Pisces to possibly shut down the emotional part of their psyche as a defence. Pisces can also be manipulative at the best of times when they want something. If Taurus catches on to this they can be greatly upset and hold onto it throughout the relationship. Taurus might be too overbearing in the relationship and Pisces as a very mutable sign likes to be able to flirt with other possibilities. Both signs can be quite delusional when it comes to their relationships, refusing to see something if they’re not happy with it. This can turn the relationship dangerous if they’re not careful.

However this pairing is also a very understanding one. Both tend to invest their emotions in their relationships so they both treat it with care and there isn’t a case of one person being more involved than the other, which is normally a problem for Taurus. Both of them hold the same values in the relationship; harmony and stability, which means there’s rarely any misunderstanding in the relationship or any kind of “what are we?” type questioning. Pisces being a very spiritual and transcendent sign can make the relationship a very awakening experience, mixed with Taurus’ sensuality, the energy between the two is very intense. Pisces’ intuition allows them to sense when something is wrong with Taurus and will do whatever they can to make them feel better. Pisces and Taurus relationships are usually very empathic in an unspoken way. Taurus doesn’t like to take risks which makes Pisces feel secure and safe while they dream away. With enough discipline on Pisces part, and self –control on Taurus’, this partnership is incredibly successful.

Johnny would want a son more than anything to be honest. He’d love how there’d be a little him running about, following him everywhere and being totally adorable. His boisterous side would come out and he’d like having play fights and playing pranks on you and his members. He’d just want a son who’d be able to relate to Johnny easier than a daughter would.

Haechan would, at first, want a son. The whole growing-up into a teenage girl would scare him, and he wouldn’t want to bear the troubles of periods, hormones, gossip etc. Having a son, would be easier for him and probably more fun too - no doubt, his son would have exactly the same personality as him, and he’d love that!

Taeil would want a son first, who’d be able to protect and defend any younger siblings, brothers or sisters, that might come afterwards. He’d love the idea of the big, older brother being a role model to the younger kids and protecting them from any kind of trouble or problems. He’d find it adorable.

Doyoung might find it easier to raise a son because, well, he was a boy when he was younger too lol. Coming up with ideas to entertain his son would come more naturally to Doyoung, than trying to think of ideas to entertain his daughter. He’d also be able to read his son quite well and would be able to give him advice from experience, if he ever started experiencing problems as a teenager.

Yuta wouldn’t have a preference at all. Honestly, I’m not sure how much he likes kids as it is, but I don’t think he’d want one more than the other. He might want a few kids eventually, finding a son appealing since he’d hope they’d grow up to be like him, but also finding a daughter appealing since he’d hope they’d grow up like you!

Mark wouldn’t have much of a preference either. Sons, daughters - they would have the same effect on him. He might lean towards the idea of having a daughter first because you’d be able to help him with parenthood; a daughter might be easier for you to raise because of being able to relate more to her.

Jaehyun, I see, as only wanting daughters. He’d want to be the only man in the house and, unlike some of the other members, wouldn’t be scared by teenage girl hormones or living in a house with only girls. He’d like a challenge and would know how to treat them well and protect them, from when they were babies until they were adults.

WinWin is very soft-spoken and gentle, a daughter would probably appeal to him more than a son, at first. Having children in general would scare him a little, so having a daughter first then a son, would ease him into fatherhood better. He’d wish for a cute, shy and creative daughter too.

Taeyong would want a daughter who he could spoil and treat and protect, just as he did, and still does, with you. He’d have a soft spot for little girls, probably feeling the need to have one just so he could protect and nurture them. You’d definitely leave an impression on him, one that would make him yearn for a daughter that was just like you!

If this is the best possible future you can imagine your creativity has been decimated by capitalist propaganda. We as a people can do so much better. To pretend we can’t do better is to deny how advanced of a society we truly are.

The technology is there, the education is there, the means of production are there, it’s just people pretending things can’t be fixed or bettered that’s stopping us.

Things can be fixed, we just need to believe and try. A lot of what’s holding us back is just our perceptions of what reality can and can’t be.
