you have to let the a's breathe

in which harry pays too much attention…

Y/N really shouldn’t be feeling this way. They’d been together for about a year, so she didn’t understand why she felt this way. Still, she couldn’t stop the blush from creeping up her cheeks under Harry’s stare. “Please stop.”

His lips fell into a lopsided grin. “Why?“

"Because,” she huffed out, shifting her gaze away from him.

“You’re so cute,” he said, eyes lighting up in amusement as he straddled her.

“Get off!” she said, attempting to push him off of her. He was just too much. It was weird having all of his attention focused on her for such a long period of time. She counted on him being gone, at least part of the day, so she could collect herself. This “Harry Afterhours” thing they had going on was sure to be the death of her.

Y/N, you see, was used to this long distance relationship they had going on. She met him and they started dating while they were on break between legs of tour. Of course, they talked all the time, she visited him a few times on tour, and when he came home he was all hers, but that was when they were starved of each other. When they needed the other’s attention or she was sure that would be the death of them.

But, now… Now he was done with his obligatory friend visits and he’s spent time with his family and he’s given himself to everyone one he’s had to and now, now he just wants to be with her. And, she was overwhelmed. She didn’t understand how or why someone like him would be with someone like her, but she didn’t dare question it. If only he would let her live for a few moments she’d be alright.

He nuzzled his face in her neck. “Just wanna love on you."

She reveled in the feeling for a few moments before trying to push him off again. "You’ve been loving on me all week long. ’S enough."

He kissed her neck, trailing a path up to her ear. "You’re addictive, like drugs or something. Can’t get enough of ya."

She was burning up. She was sure her entire body was at least three degrees higher than normal. "Piss off, H,” she whined, finally extracting him from her, turning over on her stomach, and burying her face into a pillow.

He sat on her bum, smirk still set on his face, and was met with muffled discontented shouts from Y/N. “What was that?” She muttered something else. “Hmmm…? You want to feel me all over?” he falsely assumed, then laid flat over her.

She turned her head away from the pillow and groaned. “Budge up!”

“Will you stop pushing me away?"

"Fine! Just get off. You’re a lot heavier than you appear, you know?” she commented rolling over so her back was flat on the bed.

He crawled on top of her and pushed his lips on hers. It wasn’t too long, though, before she started awkwardly giggling, then turned her face aside. He exhaled a long breath then kissed her cheek. “What’s up with you, love bug?”

Her heart melted at the pet name and her breathing hitched and she was once again having trouble looking him in the eye. He brushed his nose against her cheek signalling for her to answer. “I don’t know… you’re just here, and it makes me,” she gestured wildly over her head.

He backed up a bit from her. “Didn’t realize that was a problem. Thought you’d like to have me here.” His voice leaked with disappointment.

She grabbed his face and brought it closer to hers. She didn’t want him to think she didn’t want him. That was the opposite of the problem. “I didn’t mean it like that. Just meant, you’re making me nervous. I feel like a little girl with a school crush.” She doesn’t remember the last time she looked into his eyes, so she dared a peek up from under her eyelashes.

His face was full of awe, like he couldn’t believe he could still make her feel that way. “I love you, yeah?” he eskimo kissed her, “and, I’m yours, yeah?”

She nodded, her stomach flip flopping in the most pleasant of ways. “Yeah.”

“So, you don’t have to hide from me. I won’t bite… unless you want me to,” he whispered in her ear.

She couldn’t breathe. “I love you, too,” she managed out.

“You gonna let me show you?"

The butterflies in her stomach were viciously swarming and she’d probably need CPR and an AED after they were finished, still she dreamily sighed out, "Uh huh.”
