Do you know any kdramas with cute male leads? Like cute to their s/o, like Ahn Min Hyuk from Do Bong Soon and the goblin from Goblin and Healer. They're literally so cute when they're in love!!!

This is the ask I’ve been preparing for all my life!  Because I love sweet enthusiastic puppy male leads in love. I had started a Top 10 Kindest Kdrama Male Leads list a long time ago, but I don’t really do top 10 lists and I never got around to finishing it. Anyway, here, in no particular order, are the male leads who would probably have made it onto such a list:

1. Enrique Geum (Yoon Shi Yoon) in Flower Boy Next Door

I have to included an addendum to say that even though I really enjoy the male leads I wouldn’t necessarily recommend all the dramas equally. Some of them I enjoyed a lot, some of them I was lukewarm on. I dropped Shopping King Louis because there wasn’t enough conflict and it was too fluffy to keep me interested, I dropped Moonlight Drawn by Clouds because the pacing bottomed out in the last few episodes. And I’ve never actually started Weightlifting Fairy, the male lead has a really positive reputation in fandom though and I plan to watch it soon.

Hope this helps!

Whenever I tell my grandma I’m having a friend sleepover she’s like “I hope it’s not a boy” and I’m like “haha no” but internally I’m like ‘grandmother you fool, there are no, and will never be, roosters in this hen house"

You left. You fucking left when I needed you most. It wasn’t some petty ‘I love you and I need attention’ kinda thing. It was 'I feel like I’m fucking dying and you’re the only person I wanna see’ shit. I was always there for you. Whether it was 2am and I was by myself or at noon when I was out with my family. You were always my first priority. I was never even one.

Jungkook’s POV

Jungkook wasn’t much of an aggressive person. He was generally very calm and patient, today though was a different situation.

The person that he cared the most about in the world was in danger. He had no clue where he was and if he was even safe. Jungkook was starting to think irrationally.

Everyone in the room looked at Y/n cautiously as she explained herself. Looks of disbelief on their faces as they listened to her.

Jungkook had stormed off in the middle of her explanation. He was trying to process all of the feelings he felt before he said anything.

“Are you okay?” Jin said as he entered the room that Jungkook was standing in.

“I don’t want to talk right now.” He said to Jin looking out of the window.

“Look, I know you are upset right now. But I really think that she’s going to help us get Tae and Namjoon back.”

“Can we even trust her though? She was assigned to kill Namjoon. How can we be sure she wont betray us?” He asked.

Because I care about you all.“ A voice said from behind.

Jungkook finally turned around to see y/n standing next to Jin.

“I’ll let you two talk.” Jin said walking out of the room.

“I know you are upset with me. I know you don’t trust me, you probably hate me and you have every right to feel that way.” She spoke moving closer to him.

“I don’t hate you. It just worries me how quick I was to trust you, how quick we all were to trust you. Especially Namjoon.”

“I know you all are feeling really betrayed right now. But I promise you that everything I said was true. My feelings for Namjoon, my feelings for you and all of the guys are genuine.”

Jungkook could see the sincerity in Y/n’s eyes as she spoke. He thought that maybe she did care about them all.

“What about your parents? What will happen if you don’t complete the assignment?” He asked.

“I honestly can’t say what’ll become of me. All I know is that I want to save Namjoon and Tae and I know I can do it with your help.” She said.

Jungkook tried to soften his heart but it was hard. Namjoon had no clue that y/n was a spy and he felt bad for his older brother. At the same time though, he knew it wasn’t the time to get caught up in emotions but to act fast so that they could save his brothers.

“I don’t know y/n, I just need time.” He said.

“I understand. I’ll leave you alone.” Y/n she placing one hand on his shoulder before finally exiting the room.

Y/n’s POV

I was about to make the hardest phone call that I had ever made in my entire life.

In my twenty three years of living I’ve always had one main goal. To please the government and my parents. I had been striving towards that goal and I didn’t want to let anything get in the way.

The thought of calling my dad to tell him that I could not complete the one assignment I was given sent a chill down my spine.

“Hello”

“Father?” I spoke as he answered the phone.

“What is it?” He asked.

“I need your help” I finally spoke trying to keep my voice from shaking.

“What do you need my help with?” He asked.

“Father I havent been completely honest with you. I’ve been spending time with Namjoon. It started a while ago but I was afraid to tell you and now, now I’m in love with him father.” I said.

“That’s no good Y/n.” My father said. He sounded rather calm, but I could tell that he was disappointed.

“I know, which is why I need your help. He’s been captured along with his little brother and he’s running out of time. I need you to help me find out where his is.” I spoke.

With my words my father suddenly exploded with laughter.

“Do you not remember anything you’ve learned over the past twenty three years of your life? You think you can take what belongs to the government?” He said raising his voice and I knew he was no longer calm.

“I know father. I figured I could make it seem like they escaped. So that the government wouldn’t raise any suspicion towards us.” I spoke trying to reason with my father.

“You think that you could fool the government? How foolish!  You couldn’t even fool me!” He yelled.

“I don’t understand what you are talking about father.”

“I know everything y/n. I know that you’ve been with that boy for sometime now. I knew about the attack that Namjoon and his crew had planned.”

“You knew? How?” I asked.

“I was assigned to kill him months ago. I was the representative he was supposed to meet with him.” He replied.

“Oh my god.” I said nearly dropping the phone out of my hands.

That means that if everything would have gone according to Namjoon’s plan my father would be dead right now.

“Do you see why you should never betray the government y/n? It never ends well.” He added.

“I know it wasn’t my intention to betray anyone. It just happened. I fell in love and I know it goes against everything we believe in but could you please tell me where you are keeping him?” I begged.

“It’s too late now. You can’t protect him, you can’t even protect yourself.” He said his voice returning back to a calm tone.

“He will die y/n. I will see too it and If you or any of his crew of Assassins try to stop me you will feel my wrath.”

“Father please.”

“Instead of begging you should be thanking me for sparing your life. Don’t end up like your sister y/n.” Was the last thing he said before hanging up the phone.

Those last words hit me hard. My sisters death was the worst thing that had ever happened to me. My father bringing up her death in a way to tame new infuriated me.

I knew why he was so upset though. I had given away everything I worked for in a matter of days. I had completely disappointed the government  and in turn my father.

I felt like there was no way out. Without my father’s help I had no clue how to save the boys.

I sat down on the bed that me and Namjoon shared and opened the top drawer to the side table. I pulled out the plane tickets that he had gotten for us and my heart ached.

He was running out of time.

I heard someone knock on the door and mumbled for them to come in, not bothering to look up and see who it was.

“Im guessing the phone call with daddy didn’t go to well?” Yoongi said entering the room and noticing my dejected demeanor.

“That’s an understatement. It was horrible. My father is holding them captive and he refuses to tell me where they are.”

“And to add insult to injury he threatened my life If I tried to intervene. I dont know what to do, they are running out of time. ” I said.

“There has to be something you know.  Where would you father possibly have taken them?”

“I don’t know I really don’t. My father has a lot of secrets.” I said.

“Think carefully y/n. You can do this.” He said.

I thought for a while. My father had never spoken of a place to take hostages. I knew he wasnt at my parents home. So where else could he have taken them?

“I think I need to go home. There might be something there that could help us figure this out.” I said.

“Alright but you need to be really careful alright?”

“I’ll go with you.” Jungkook said appearing at the door.

Once we got to my house, I unlocked the door using the key that I had and we entered.

Everything was normal and in place like it usually is. The house was clean and tidy and I could tell no one had been here for a while.

“Let’s go look in his study.” I said as Jungkook followed me up the stairs.

I skimmed through files while Jungkook searched the contents of his desk drawers.

“There’s nothing, he left no clue for us to find.” I said in frustration.

“Let’s just keep searching.” Jungkook said.

After moments of pointless looking we heard someone open the door to my fathers office.

“Mom?” I said speaking to the women who had entered the office.

“Y/n, sweetie thank god you are safe.” She said walking over to me and wrapping her arms around my body.

“Mom why are you here, shouldn’t you be with dad right now?” I asked.

“No, I was taken off of the assignment.”

“What why?” I asked.

“Because I couldn’t separate my personal life from my work, your father decided I was unfit to complete the assignment.”

“I’m sorry mom.”

“It’s alright sweetie. What are you doing in here?” She asked.

I looked over at Jungkook who was standing awkwardly in by the desk.

“I’ll wait outside.” He mouthed before heading out of the room.

“Mom I really need you’re help.” I said

“With what?” She asked.

“I need to save Namjoon, I can’t let him die. I love him mom.”

“Oh sweetie, I’m so sorry. You can’t save him, he’s already gone.” She said holding onto my hand.

“G- gone? No, father hasn’t killed him yet. I spoke with him and he’s still alive.” I told her.

“Are you sure?” She asked.

“I’m positive, so can you please tell me where he is?”

“Even if he’s alive it won’t be long soon. It’s too dangerous for you to try and save him. I don’t want you risking your life for him.”

“I have help mom, I can save him. Please hurry tell me where he is.” I begged.

“There’s a warehouse were we took him before, he might still be there.” She said telling me the location of it.“

“Thank you so much.” I said hugging her.

“Please be safe. Your father won’t spare you.” She said releasing me from the hug.

“I’ll be careful, I promise.”

When the four of pulled up to the warehouse we noticed it was really quiet, no sign of any one here at all.

Jungkook stay in the car, we will call you if we need you okay?“ Yoongi told him as he reloaded his gun.

“Okay do you guys have a plan?” Jumgkook asked.

“The plan is that we’re going to get Namjoon and Taehyung, we will figure it all out as we go, everyone ready?” Yoongi asked as he opened the door to the car.

“Wait.” I said grabbing ahold of Yoongi’s arm.

“It might get really violent in there. I don’t care who you kill but please don’t kill my father.” I said.

“You know I can’t promise that y/n.” He said.

“Please, I’ve proven my loyalty to you all. I love Namjoon but I also love my father. Don’t kill him Yoongi, promise me you won’t kill him.” I said showing the desperation in my voice.

“Fine. I won’t kill him. Now let’s go before it’s too late.”

We entered the warehouse discovering that it was a lot bigger than we thought. We decided to split up so that we could cover more ground faster.

I moved swiftly throughout the warehouse knowing that my time was limited. I had my gun with me but I had no intention of using it. I approached a long hallway with a door at the end of it.

I stuck to the wall making my way down the hallway. When I finally got to the door I opened it slowly bracing myself for what would be inside.

When I entered the room my eyes fell immediately to the blood that was everywhere on the floor.

My heart rate increased significantly as I wondered who’s blood it was. I was lost in though when a man entered from the the left of the room, I drew out my pistol and positioned it on him without looking up.

“Wow, you have no limits to what you will do for this guy do you?” The man who I looked up at to realize was my father said.

“Father please tell me it’s not too late. Please tell me you didn’t kill them.” I said lowering my gun.

“You know when the government assigned you and your sister to us to raise, I was upset at first. I thought we were being wronged. We would have to raise two children into trained assassins. I thought they could have taken little boys. Why girls?” He spoke.

My head was killing me and and I was feeling a bit dizzy, my father’s confusing words were only making me feel worst.

“I’m sorry father but I don’t understand what you are saying.”

My father ignored my words and continued.

“Overtime though, as you and your sister got older I realized that maybe girls were not the worst. You were both tough, smart and loyal. Well at least that’s what I thought until your sister started to act up and had to be eliminated. I still had faith though. I thought that at least I would have been successful if you were successful. I was wrong, you are a complete failure.”

“Im sorry if you feel like I’ve failed you father.”

“You don’t have to call me that anymore. Your father is dead y/n.” He spoke.

“I don’t understand what you are talking about. You are my father.” I said.

“No, no I’m not. I killed your father along with your mother when the government assigned me to kidnap you and your sister.”

“What? No.. That’s not true.” I said.

“It is very true In fact.”

“Oh my god.” I said out loud my head spinning.

“Why couldn’t you just do what was asked of you? Why did you have to fall in love?” He asked.

“Where is he, where is Namjoon and where is Taehyung?” I asked

“I’m here.” I said turning around to see Taehyung entering the room.

“Thank god you’re alive Tae, where is Namjoon?” I asked walking closer towards him.

“He’s dead y/n. I killed him.” He said calmly.

“What? I don’t believe you.” I said as tears started to stream out of my eyes.

“See this is why you failed as an assassin y/n. You let emotions cloud your judgement. Taehyung was able to betray and kill his own brother. That is why he is like a son to me now.”

“Please tell me you didn’t kill him.” I asked looking up at Taehyung. I was in complete shocked and my mental condition was deteriorating by the second.

“I did kill him. I took him out with just one shot to his heart.” He said no remorse  evident in his tone.

“He completed the assignment that you couldn’t do y/n.” My father said. I refused to look at him. I stared intently at Taehyung. I was trying to search his eyes, to see if he was lying to me.

“Now I’m going to complete my final assignment.” My father said as I heard the sound of a gun going off and It hadn’t registered to me that I had been shot until I was passing out in Taehyung’s arms.
